The drops from the corrupted monsters varied in form though their effects were mostly alike. There were too many of them.

What surprised Lucien most was the sheer number of Skill Cards scattered among the spoils.

Most of the skills were ones he already possessed yet he quickly found a better use for them.

He decided. He would reward his soldiers with these cards. Those who had fought alongside him deserved every advantage they could gain.

Lucien’s gaze then shifted toward the remains of Malrik and his associates.

He paid little attention to the drops from the weaker mbers. Their loot was no different from the other drops.

What truly caught his eye were the drops left behind by Malrik himself...

Orb of Entropy

Rarity: Legendary

***

Lucien swallowed hard.

If his guess was right... this orb could grant him an entirely new attribute. The sa unfamiliar attribute that Malrik Golddust once wielded.

No... not just him. So of the monsters he had faced in the black mass had shown traces of that sa chaotic energy. It was as if Malrik had gained this attribute from them.

But that wasn’t all.

Among the remains, Malrik had also dropped a 5-star Skill Card. The very skill that allowed him to bend reality itself.

***

False Genesis - Creates a perfect imitation of any object the user has seen, almost indistinguishable from the original.

***

Lucien hesitated.

He felt this skill might not suit him yet he couldn’t bring himself to give it to anyone else.

The potential it held was boundless.

In death, Malrik had proven more useful than he ever was alive.

Lucien exhaled slowly then turned his gaze toward the spoils left by the Three Monster Lords.

Lucien froze.

Among the spoils from the Three Monster Lords were items that bore no rarity... And each one was beyond belief. He didn’t even know where to begin.

Then his eyes caught another familiar glimr.

mory Core. He had obtained another one.

This one would allow him to glimpse fragnts of mory from the being it dropped from...

Lucien’s lips curled into a grin.

Since the mory Orb had dropped from the Magus Goblin, it ant he could peer into the fragnts of its mories.

In other words... this would allow him to witness the events that unfolded within "that" world.

He only knew what had transpired in the Mural World.

He didn’t even know how much ti had passed there. What beca of it after the war? What kind of aftermath was left behind?

But he knew...

The mories he would see were bound to the other half of the big world. The paradise of monsters where beings like the Magus Goblin now lived.

The half that had been divided by the Primordial Sli.

"Sigh. Too bad..."

Lucien grabbed the sphere. He turned the faintly pulsing mory Core in his palm.

He hesitated only for a breath... then crushed it between his fingers.

The core shattered with a soundless crack. A stream of light burst forth, twisting into patterns before lancing straight into his forehead.

Lucien’s body stiffened. His vision drowned in light.

And then... he saw it.

•••

At first, there was darkness.

And then... a flicker. A heartbeat. A thought.

A faint pulse rippled through the void as a malford creature crawled from the depths. Small, green, trembling.

Its first breath was raw, filled with instinct and hunger. It opened its eyes to a realm smothered by black mist where colossal shadows road and mountains were made from the bones of the fallen.

This was not the world of n.

It was the other half. The paradise of monsters.

The Goblin saw skies like torn flesh, rivers of luminous ichor and fortresses grown from living stone.

Beings of every shape and nightmare walked freely. Dragons with wings of magma. Serpents with eyes that bled stars. Ancient titans whose footsteps cracked continents. And many other indescribable beings.

And above them all, a vast Black Mass lood in the heavens.

It pulsed like a living heart.

The Goblin felt it before it understood it...

It was the power that governed all life in that realm.

Years passed. Decades... Centuries... Millenia...

The Goblin clawed, killed, consud.

Knowledge seeped into its mind. Runes, magic circles, the language of magic itself.

It ascended... and the once asly goblin beca one of the Magus Goblin. They were creatures who could command miasma as if it were second nature.

When its intelligence reached a certain height, it began to hear whispers from the Black Mass.

"The seals wane... and the cycle begins anew."

Those words echoed again and again, twisting the Magus’s sanity. It saw the truth of their world...

That their paradise was not heaven... but a cage.

And beyond the rifts lay the other half. The world of the thousand races born from stolen balance.

The Goblin’s eyes burned with understanding.

It raised its claw and gazed upon the endless night, whispering—

"When the seal breaks... we will return. This world is ours."

Then suddenly—

the mory shifted.

The Magus Goblin had ascended beyond his kin. He was now a Monster Lord.

But still... he was not at the top of the food chain.

Even as a Monster Lord, he remained but a speck of dust before the truly mighty. Those ancient beings whose re presence warped the air and bent lesser wills to silence.

The mory blurred then it shifted...

It was the first ti the Magus laid eyes upon it...

a fragnt of the Origin Core.

The air around it bent and trembled as though the world itself feared its presence.

And in that instant, the Magus understood.

That fragnt was not just power.

It was a key. One of the few things that could break the seal.

Just then... The fragnted mory trembled.

Amidst the chaos, a voice erged.

It was ancient and heavy with tiless authority. And though it echoed through the Magus Goblin’s recollection, Lucien realized with a chill...

It wasn’t speaking to the Goblin.

It was speaking to him.

’You see what should not be seen, mortal. The cycle stirs once more. The seals weaken and the Black Mass hungers... You have taken the mory of one who served the dark half. Now, you carry its gaze.’

Lucien gasped.

The world convulsed.

The last thing he saw was the Magus Goblin raising its staff toward a rift. Its eyes glowed... before everything was consud by light.

And then he was back.

On the ground. Sweating. Trembling.
