Lucien and Eirene arrived in the void.

This place was still within the planetary system where the Big World moved, far enough from inhabited lands to avoid harming anyone, but close enough that the world’s lawful rhythm could still be felt.

The Big World shone behind them like a vast jewel wrapped in cloud and light.

Farther away, moons drifted in silence.

Distant planets hung like cold lanterns in the dark.

Lucien looked around.

Then he looked at Eirene.

Eirene t his gaze.

No words were needed.

Both of them understood.

An Eternal breakthrough was not a small disturbance.

A practitioner at the peak of the Celestial Realm carried a Law deep enough to affect the surroundings. Once that Law began turning eternal, its pressure would expand violently. If two breakthroughs happened too close to each other, their Laws might clash, interfere, or reflect backlash into both practitioners.

So they separated.

Lucien moved in one direction.

Eirene moved in another.

Miles opened between them.

Lucien could still sense her.

Eirene could still sense him.

That was enough.

Lucien stopped in the open void.

He exhaled slowly.

He was ready.

...

To break through to the Eternal Realm, a practitioner had to complete three steps.

First, complete their Law identity.

Second, fuse self and Law.

Third, be recognized by the universe.

The first step was the root of everything.

A Law could not beco eternal inside soone who did not truly understand what that Law ant to them.

Borrowed comprehension was not enough.

A practitioner of fire could not beco Eternal rely by knowing that fire burned. They had to know what fire ant to their existence. Destruction. Warmth. Purification. Civilization. Hunger. Rebirth. Their answer would shape their eternity.

Lucien’s integrated Law was Creation.

A word that could an almost anything if handled poorly.

Lucien closed his eyes.

Then he released his Law.

The Law of Creation manifested around him.

At first, it appeared as golden radiance.

Then that radiance unfolded into clauses.

Then those clauses turned into shapes.

Seeds.

Stars.

Blueprints.

Roads.

Hands.

Cities.

Worlds.

Broken things being nded.

Empty spaces waiting to be filled.

Dead endings trembling as if they had suddenly rembered the possibility of continuation.

The void around Lucien brightened.

Then the universe responded.

It did not speak.

It tested.

Visions opened before him.

Lucien saw himself when he first arrived in this world.

He saw Lootwell when it was small.

He saw the first people he had helped.

He saw family and friends.

He saw people entering Lootwell with fear and leaving with food, shelter, training, employnt, dignity, or at least a chance.

He saw Origin Core fragnts pulsing in darkness.

He saw the Tree of Creation growing above his Divine Energy Core.

Then the visions changed.

He saw what Creation could beco if twisted.

A ruler creating dependence instead of strength.

A builder creating cages and calling them hos.

A savior creating debt and calling it gratitude.

An immortal creating a future where no one could live without him.

Lucien’s expression remained calm, but his heart tightened.

The universe did not flatter.

It placed truth before him without rcy.

Creation was not automatically good.

A tyrant could create an empire.

A madman could create weapons.

A god could create servants.

A monster could create a world where only obedience survived.

So what was Lucien’s Creation?

The visions pressed harder.

What did he create?

Lucien stood in the void and let the question enter him fully.

...

Ti passed.

In the void, ti had little aning.

Lucien searched himself.

He looked past the products of his hands.

Those were forms.

Useful forms.

But not the heart.

What had he truly been doing from the beginning?

He had given the stranded a place to stand.

He had given the weak a way to grow.

He had given isolated worlds a road to safety.

He had given dying systems a way to continue.

He had given old factions reasons to beco better.

He had given people paths they could choose.

He had given futures to things that should have ended.

Lucien opened his eyes.

The answer settled.

His personal interpretation of Creation was not rely making things.

Creation was the act of giving futures to what should have ended.

Not replacing people’s will.

Not controlling every road.

Not making himself the center of every survival.

But creating possibilities where only endings had remained.

Creation was not only life.

It was future.

The mont that understanding beca clear, his Law surged.

The golden radiance around him deepened.

The Law of Creation within him began to define itself... as Lucien’s path.

A path of living futures.

Inside his conceptual space, the Tree of Creation stirred.

Its leaves trembled.

The tiny fruits hanging from its branches glowed faintly, as if responding to the definition of his Law. They did not ripen fully, but their growth quickened. Creation clauses flowed through them like sunlight through newborn fruit.

Leaves fell from the Tree of Creation.

Each falling leaf turned into a lawful mark and entered Lucien’s Law of Creation.

Lucien felt his Law grow heavier.

The void around him distorted.

Space bent under the mass of his Law.

Ti shivered at the edges.

For a mont, cracks of golden light appeared in the surrounding darkness. His Creation was pressing too much aning into too small a region of reality.

Lucien ignored the discomfort.

No.

He used it.

The first step was complete.

His Law identity had ford.

Now ca the second.

Fuse self and Law.

Lucien closed his eyes again.

Creation surged toward him.

A practitioner could use a Law.

A Celestial could stand close to a Law.

But an Eternal had to beco a lasting expression of that Law.

His body began to change.

His bones ward as golden clauses sank into them.

His blood carried faint creation light.

His flesh tightened, not with brute strength, but with adaptability.

His Divine Energy Core and inner systems began reorganizing around Creation as a central rhythm.

His soul deepened.

mories, regrets, desires, promises, and burdens sank into the Law and were answered by it.

His energy transford.

The countless laws he gained all moved within him.

The Tree of Creation acted as the axis.

Its roots spread.

Its trunk shone.

Its branches lifted.

The Tree did not devour his other Laws.

It gave them places.

Leaves began appearing across its branches, each one carrying the imprint of a Law Lucien understood.

A leaf of Space, folded at the edge like a door.

A leaf of Ti, trembling between before and after.

A leaf of Life, veined with green-gold light.

A leaf of Death, quiet and dark but not malicious.

A leaf of Nihility, so still it seed to deny the branch beneath it.

A leaf of Reflection, silver on one side and shadowed on the other.

More appeared.

Given a place in his growing internal system.

Lucien felt the Tree of Creation rging deeper with his existence.

His breathing slowed.

Creation entered his hands. His eyes. His bones. His soul. His thoughts.

He felt that he could call upon it without preparation.

Not as a technique.

As instinct.

If he reached out, Creation would answer.

If he willed form, possibility would gather.

If he saw an ending, he could search for the road beyond it.

The process was slow.

It had to be.

A rushed fusion would crack the soul.

A forced fusion would deform the Law.

Lucien coaxed his Law instead.

Patiently.

As if guiding a vast beast into a ho built inside his own existence.

...

Ti continued to pass.

The void remained silent.

The Big World shone far behind him.

The Tree of Creation continued feeding him.

The fruits continued slowly ripening.

Then finally, the transformation reached its last point.

Lucien felt it.

The second step was complete.

His self and Law had fused.

Creation was not only sothing he possessed.

It had beco part of what he was.

Then the universe responded.

A deep hum moved through reality.

Sound should not have traveled in space.

Yet Lucien heard music.

The void peeled open in layers of golden radiance.

Miles away, concepts of creation stirred.

Dust from dead stones trembled.

Tiny fragnts of ancient debris glowed, as if rembering they had once belonged to sothing whole.

The space around Lucien beca a vast recording field.

The universe was looking.

It asured him.

It asked without words whether this existence was stable enough to carry Creation eternally.

Lucien stood in the center of the radiance.

He did not kneel.

He did not shout.

He did not beg.

He simply existed.

And his existence answered.

I create futures for what should have ended.’

The hum deepened.

Golden light flowed into him.

His authority condensed.

Creation gathered inside him until it beca an Eternal Authority.

Lucien felt his soul lock into a new depth.

His body crossed a threshold.

His Divine Energy Core expanded.

The Tree of Creation rose taller inside him.

His Law of Creation settled like a sun given roots.

Then the final hum passed through him.

...

Lucien opened his eyes.

Golden light moved in his pupils.

He exhaled.

Even that breath carried Creation.

For a mont, the void before him blood.

With possibilities.

Tiny motes of light appeared in empty space, each one a seed of form that vanished before becoming anything real.

Lucien stared.

Then slowly smiled.

He had reached the Eternal Realm.

’Eternal.’

The word settled inside him with a quiet weight.

He flexed his Law once.

Creation surged outward for miles.

Dead dust gathered into brief shapes.

Broken stone fragnts aligned into temporary rings.

A cracked piece of ancient tal repaired itself enough to shine before fading back into silence.

Lucien’s smile grew faintly.

"So this is Eternal."

The power was not rely larger.

It was steadier.

His Law did not feel like sothing he had to lift.

It felt like sothing that moved with him.

Sothing that breathed when he breathed.

Sothing that waited in his bones.

But the mont of wonder did not last.

Lucien’s gaze snapped toward the distance.

Eirene.

His smile vanished.

He sensed her clearly now.

Her existence... was trembling.

No.

Dividing.

Her aura flickered between two forms.

For one horrifying breath, Lucien felt her existence fade at the edges, as though the universe did not know which Eirene it was supposed to recognize.

His eyes changed.

"Sister Eirene."

He moved imdiately.

Space folded beneath him.

Creation gathered around his feet like a road being born because he needed one.

The distance between them collapsed.

Far away in the void, Eirene’s breakthrough was failing.

And Lucien, newly Eternal, rushed toward her before the universe could decide that one incomplete answer was not worth preserving.
