Chapter 20 Still Energetic?
In summer, the day already dawned though it was as early as a little past 6 o’clock.
Through the white gauze curtain, the freshness of the morning slipped into the room before realizing it.
Ling Tianyi’s biological clock has always been very accurate. Finding the little woman in his arms, he was in a very good mood when he woke up. He looked at his sweetheart with rapt attention, focusing on her long eyelashes and her tiny mouth. He realized that the sleeping beauty was even more lively and lovely than she was when waking up.
But she looks very weak with her pale face.
Last night, she was tossed and turned by him. At the thought of that, he lowered his neck, kissing her on her forehead and tucking her up in her quilt. After that, he continued to hold her in his arms, tending to sleep with her for a while

All of a sudden, Xia Xiaoluo wept her eyes out.
“Take a shower, then you will feel a lot easier.” Ling Tianyi said and went to the bathroom to prepare the hot water. Turning back to carry her in his arms, he then put Xia Xiaoluo in the luxurious bathtub.
Xia Xiaoluo suddenly regained his consciousness perhaps due to the time when she soaked into the water, saying, “I will be late.”
“You were tired. You’d better not go anywhere today. Just stay here for a good rest.” said Ling Tianyi in a spoiling but unpromising tone when he was gentle with Xia Xiaoluo putting on the shower gel.
“Please! Let me go! We bear each other no grudges, so just let me go, okay?” Xia Xiaoluo tearfully begged Ling Tianyi. She knew very well that she would never win facing this rich and powerful man.
“Wanna join the training on-the-job training, don’t you?” asked Ling Tianyi mildly, feeling sorry for Xia Xiaoluo’s poor look on her face.
“Yes!” nodded Xia Xiaoluo immediately and said, “I have applied for the waitress position of the hotel and the training will begin at 9 o’clock. If I am late or I fail, I will be knocked out. I really need this job and don’t want to be kicked out.”
Not getting any reply from Ling, Xia Xiaoluo continued, “You know, I can’t afford to pay the rent, and have no money at all now. But that hotel offers wages, including food and housing, so I really need it. Please! Please let me go!”
“But, you are truly tired with a very bad look.” Ling Tianyi tenderly stroked her pale face.
“I am not! No! I am not at all tired.” Xia Xiaoluo refuted him without any hesitation.
Showing her evil but charming smile, Ling Tianyi said, “Not tired? Still energetic?”
