Just as William was about to land on the ground, sothing unexpected happened, and he suddenly felt himself being hurled and caught midair.
The force with which he was swept up into the air took him completely by surprise. His body was lifted before he could react, and for a brief mont, his balance was entirely thrown off.
At that mont, he could see the ground rushing past beneath him at a flashing speed, while a sharp sensation pressed against his back.
It felt like sharp claws gripping him firmly. Thanks to his high cultivation, the claws did not pierce through his flesh, but the pressure alone was enough to make him aware of how dangerous the situation could be.
He imdiately raised his head and looked upward, trying to identify what had grabbed him.
What he saw made his expression stiffen slightly.
It was a flying creature.
Its maw and horns were almost identical to the corpse he had examined earlier, but the rest of its body was entirely different.
It resembled a winged beast, similar to a bat, with a lean but powerful fra. Thin layers of skin stretched between its limbs, forming wide wings that cut through the air with ease.
Its lower limbs looked more flexible and agile, suggesting that it could maneuver quickly both in the air and on land.
William could not understand how, even after using the Trickster’s Veil to conceal himself, the creature had still managed to detect him so accurately.
"System, do you have any clue?" he asked, keeping his voice steady despite the situation.

William gave a small nod, acknowledging the suggestion. He then looked at the creature again. Since it had already caught him and was carrying him through the air, he quickly concluded.
At this point, shouting would not make things any worse than they already were.
With that thought in mind, William took in a deep breath, gathering his strength before speaking.
"EVERYONE BOW DOWN. WILLIAM KAISER HAS ARRIVED!!"

His voice echoed outward, spreading across the empty sky.
Nothing happened.
There was no reaction at all; the only sound that remained was the wind rushing past them.
William frowned slightly. He understood that sothing was off.
Without wasting more ti, he reinforced his throat with demonic energy, carefully channeling power into his voice to amplify its reach.
Then he shouted again, this ti with far greater force.
"EVERYONE, BOW DOWN!!"
"WILLIAM KAISER HAS ARRIVED !!"
This ti, the result was different.
A visible ripple of energy spread outward from his voice, moving through the air like a wave before slowly fading away.
Almost instantly, the flying creature stopped in midair.

The system notifications appeared in his mind, but William paid them little attention.
He was looking directly at the creature holding him.
More precisely, he was staring at its eye.
The creature did not have eyes on its face or near its maw. Instead, a single large eye was positioned at the tip of its tail.
The lashes of the eye seed to grow naturally from the tail’s surface, making it look both strange and unsettling.
At that mont, everything beca clear.
Now, William understood why the corpse he had examined earlier had appeared to have no eyes.
As the newly gained information settled into his mind, William quickly pieced things together.
These creatures did not rely on sound at all. They did not need auditory senses. His first shout had gone completely unnoticed because of that.
However, his second shout had been infused with demonic energy, and that was sothing these creatures could detect with precision.
"What a strange creature. Foolish enough to reveal his location to every Vyker here. Take care, poor creature. I am leaving."
A voice suddenly echoed inside William’s mind. The sudden intrusion caught him off guard.
"What the hell?" William reacted instinctively.
Before the creature could drop him, it responded in surprise.
"What the fuck!! Small creature, how do you know the tongue of Vykers?"
William was montarily distracted by this unexpected developnt, but he quickly turned his attention toward the system instead.
"System, what is happening?"
[Ding. Host, did you forget the effect of your Lawless Adaptation talent?]
Almost imdiately, a window appeared in his vision.

"Damn, I really did not pay much attention to this effect," William muttered under his breath as realization set in.
"Answer , you small creature !! " the Vyker said again, shaking him midair in frustration.
Before William could respond, a series of sharp screeches echoed across the sky.
The eye on the tail shifted direction instantly, focusing on the source of the sound. William also turned his head in the sa direction.
What they saw was enough to change the situation completely.
Far in the distance, the sky was filled with dark, moving shapes. A large number of Vykers were approaching them; their sheer numbers ford a moving mass of air like a storm.
William imdiately understood what had happened. His earlier action had drawn their attention.
He quickly looked at the Vyker holding him. "We need to leave this place imdiately."
The eye on the tail widened slightly. "Why should I save you? I can hand you over to my clan and save myself."
William glanced at the approaching swarm again. They were getting closer with every passing second.
"Wait!! I have valuable treasures to offer you," William said quickly. "And you must be curious about and where I co from, right? I will tell you everything."
He was deliberately trying to negotiate.
William had no intention of fighting a large group of these Vyker creatures so soon after entering this realm.
From the mont he had been caught midair without even realizing it imdiately, he had already made a clear judgnt.
These Vykers were faster than he was.
In addition, there was no sun in this realm, and he could not sense mana, spiritual energy, or demonic energy in the surroundings. This ant that once his energy was depleted, he would have no way to recover it.
Although he could retreat into the Infinite Domain at any mont, there was a reason he was holding back.
William had already activated his Omniscient Eyes on this Vyker that was holding him mid-air.
Through that ability, he could observe the destiny halo of others.
Right now, he could clearly see a bright teal halo surrounding this creature. It shone with unusual intensity, far stronger than anything he had seen before.
It gave him the feeling that this guy was not ordinary but a chosen one. Because of that, William decided to take the risk and engage with it.
"Do not speak nonsense, puny creature. My brothers will kill for stealing their hunt."
"But you caught first. Why am I considered their hunt?" William replied, keeping his tone controlled even in this strange situation where he was being called a hunt.
"You do not understand. I am the youngest in my clan. My echo has not awakened even after five rotations of the Flux beam. I am already treated as a burden. If I defy them again, they will kill ."
William glanced toward the sky once more. The distant figures were now much closer; their presence was becoming increasingly threatening.
Without wasting another second, he looked directly at the Vyker.
"What if I help you awaken your echo?"
