Just as he was about to get angry, his eyes caught sight of the dishes on the table, and his pupils abruptly tightened.

“I rember when Mom was still with us, her favorite dishes to cook were these, so I tried to make them today. Dad, you rushed over here, have you not had dinner yet? Try and see if what I’ve made tastes as good as Mom’s.”
Jiang Jinchen laid out the bowls and chopsticks and poured a glass of white wine for Jiang Haoyan.
