Ning Yanan caught that glint of mischief in his eyes and was certain that Jiang Jinchen had done it on purpose.
With Ning Yanan’s temperant, not slapping him would already be letting him off easy.
She opened her mouth and then, suddenly, fell silent.
Bending over, she grasped the half-torn skirt hem and gave a forceful tug.
She had torn off a circle around her calf.
The long dress had beco a short one, and her tall figure now exuded a different kind of vibe.
If Jiang Jinchen hadn’t seen her tear the dress with his own eyes, he would have definitely thought such a design was intentional.
Ning Yanan raised her head, glanced at him, didn’t say a word, and turned to go upstairs.
Jiang Jinchen stood in the living room, watching her leave. It felt like a punch to his chest; he was so stifled he couldn’t catch his breath.
Was she really holding back, or did she feel that even speaking to him was a waste of saliva?
The old Ning Yanan, when she was still a junior reporter, dared to curse at him, furiously pouring a bottle of mineral water over his head and calling him a scumbag.
Now, with the terrible thing he had done to her, she didn’t even bother to say a word to him.
“Mr. Jinchen, little Mr. Jinchen is upstairs. You just said you wanted to see him, why won’t you go up now?” The butler stood by, watching Jiang Jinchen, who appeared to be in a daze, then suddenly spoke up.

The butler continued with a smiling face.

He patted the butler on the shoulder and quickly followed upstairs.
Ning Yanan had just taken Tingye from the maternity matron’s hands when she saw Jiang Jinchen stride confidently into the nursery, frowning slightly.
“Mr. Jinchen.”
Upon seeing Jiang Jinchen, the maternity matron greeted him respectfully. Noticing that there seed to be a conversation brewing between the two in the room, she handed the feeding bottle to Ning Yanan and discreetly left.
It was the first ti Ning Yanan fed Tingye, and she was a bit flustered.
The little guy spit out his milk onto his clothing with a ‘pff.’
“Let help you.”
Jiang Jinchen took out a few tissues, stepped forward, and wiped the little guy’s mouth clean. He then placed a clean tissue under the little guy’s neck.
“There, now he won’t spit up on his clothes.”

Ning Yanan glanced at him, lowered her eyes without speaking, and concentrated on feeding Tingye.
Watching the little one suck vigorously, his little face turning red, her mouth curved with a gentle smile.
“Are all babies this cute? Tingye, smile for your godmother.”
Ning Yanan removed the finished milk bottle, pressed her finger against the baby’s chubby cheek, and teased the just-fed little one.
“Pfft—”
The mischievous, freshly-fed little guy, hearing Ning Yanan’s words, blew bubbles from his milk.
He giggled loudly.
His deep dark eyes then fixed onto Jiang Jinchen, suddenly staring straight ahead.
His focused expression was like he had discovered a new world.
“Little buddy, are you stunned by your godfather’s handsoness? Smile for godfather!” Jiang Jinchen stood beside Ning Yanan, casually draping his arm over her shoulder and leaned in toward the little one in her arms.
Ning Yanan was about to push his arm away when he tightened his hold.
“Co on, call godfather.”
“He should call you uncle.” Ning Yanan spoke indifferently, her gaze faintly flickering.
She was godmother; yet Jiang Jinchen wanted Tingye to call him godfather, which sohow sounded awkward.
