“Have you been crying? What happened?”
Mo Xiyan was dressed casually, but with a gun at his waist, clearly on duty.

Ning Yanan didn’t even know what she was saying; her words were so disorganized that she felt foolish.

His consideration eased Ning Yanan’s mood a bit, and she managed a weak smile.
“No need, I just took leave to step out; I’ll go back to the office soon. I’ll take public transport back, no trouble for you.”
Just as Ning Yanan was about to leave, Mo Xiyan grasped her arm.
“Going back like this, everyone will notice sothing’s wrong. There’s a park nearby that I know of; let walk with you. I have to report back to the office this afternoon too, so it’s on the way.”

Several hours had passed; Jing Yan should have cleared her thoughts by now.
There was no love between them; terminating the pregnancy was the ultimate solution.
A single night of absurdity should have ended that very night.

Jiang Jinchen’s key card hadn’t even touched the sensor when the door was opened from the inside.
Seeing the figure standing at the door of the presidential suite, Jiang Jinchen’s eyes narrowed.
“Mr. Jinchen, the chief has been waiting for you for a while now.”
