The rest of the conversation was muffled by the closing elevator doors, yet it haunted Ning Yanan’s ears like a curse.
She wanted so badly to burst out and scream that she wasn’t the other woman, that she hadn’t ddled with soone else’s relationship.
She never had.
But now, all she wanted to do was to run away…

The elevator arrived.
Yet Ning Yanan stood frozen by the doors, unable to move either forward or back.

She stood respectfully in front of the middle-aged man’s desk.

The real third party was Jing Yan.
But now, whatever Ning Yanan said, no one would believe her.

Anyone would presu her to be the unwelco third party.
“Take a look at today’s dostic newspapers.”
The middle-aged man pushed the freshly printed newspaper across to Ning Yanan, gesturing for her to sit down.
Ning Yanan dared not sit; instead, she reached out to take the newspaper from the desk.
As she deciphered the content, her eyes tightened, feeling as if her entire world was crumbling.
“The marriage announcent of the Jiang and Jing Families had been repeated over and over without confirmation, but now that Jing Yan’s pregnancy has co to light, this marriage is likely set in stone.”
The middle-aged man looked up, noting Ning Yanan’s distressed face, and continued.
“Being reported at a ti like this is particularly bad timing. Once the matter gets out to the dia, even I won’t be able to protect you.”
“Even if I haven’t done anything, is that not enough?” Ning Yanan asked, her palms clenching tightly.
Even though she had decided to leave, she couldn’t accept it happening this way.
“Then what about those photos? They must be real, right? The dates can’t be falsified. The tistamps on the photos show they were taken after the Jiang family first announced the engagent. How do you explain your relationship with Jiang Jinchen?”
