Chapter 1333: Chapter 1333: Grabbing a Seat Early
In broad daylight, if people found out Hanjie was dragging her back to the room to do sothing shaful, she’d truly have no face to show.
“What are you panicking about? Without my order, no one dares to co in.”
Hanjie clasped her wrist and parted his lips indifferently.
“Hanjie, sothing happened to Mr. Zexian and Miss Rui Hui, aren’t you worried at all?”
Qin Youxuan finally managed to turn her head away and called out.
“It’s just a delay in replying, no one’s going to die.”
Hanjie pulled Qin Youxuan up, enfolded her petite body in his embrace, and his large hand smoothed out her hair.
“Worried?”
“I’m not worried about Mr. Zexian. I’m concerned about Rui Hui. She’s been by his side for so long, who knows how she’s doing?”
Qin Youxuan grumbled, reaching out for her clothes and haphazardly pulling them on.
“Mr. Zexian can’t handle her.”
“Why do you act as if you wish Mr. Zexian would devour Miss Rui Hui?” Qin Youxuan asked, tilting her head to look at him.
The man’s enchanting face was hidden in the dim light, his deep features always shimring with an attractive luster.
Like a fine piece of art, no matter how you looked, it was breathtakingly perfect.
“Isn’t that what you hope for?”
Hanjie lowered his gaze to her, his handso face instantly making Qin Youxuan surrender.
She reached out to push his face away, “Don’t look at like that.”
“Want to eat again, huh?”
“…I do not!”
“Mm, then it’s my turn to want to eat you.”
“Hanjie, aren’t you curious about what Mr. Zexian has gone to do?” Qin Youxuan blurted in desperation.
She would never admit she didn’t care about Mr. Zexian at all but was only concerned that her own body might fall apart from Hanjie’s exertions.
But having asked the question, she beca curious herself.
“I heard Mr. Zexian is very picky when it cos to treating patients. He heals based on his mood, not at all like a doctor. So why would he study dicine?”
“That’s not sothing you need to worry about.” Hanjie grabbed his shirt and slowly put it on.
“aning you know? Is there really a special reason?”
Qin Youxuan’s curiosity piqued.
“Heal if he wishes, don’t if he doesn’t. What reason is there needed?” Hanjie glanced at her, stood up, straightened his clothes, and walked towards the door.
He opened the door, and the butler was still there, standing respectfully.
“Contact him again; tell Mr. Zexian to receive the ssage and reply as soon as possible.”
“Yes, Mr. Jie.”
It wasn’t long after the butler left that he doubled back.
“Mr. Jie, Mr. Zexian has replied. He said he’s currently out but will bring Miss Rui Hui on ti for the wedding day.”
Hanjie gestured for the butler to leave, then turned back into the room and pulled Qin Youxuan, who was at the bedside, into his arms, pinching her chin with one hand.
His exhale was enchanting, “Feeling reassured now?”
…
One week later.
The wedding of the century, which shook the entire city, slowly lifted its veil.
That day, St. John’s Church was surrounded by swelling crowds.
On Lafayette Square, aside from tourists, even more people had staked out a spot early for this high-profile wedding.
In the sky, colorful balloons ascended in clusters.
Countless fireworks exploded in mid-air.
Helicopters flew in formation low overhead, while fragrant petals fell like a rain of flowers—stunningly beautiful.
A stretched limousine, escorted by nurous vehicles, slowly arrived at St. John’s Church.
