“Gulp, gulp—”
Ye Mingi didn’t respond, but the sound of water being poured down could be heard.
Jin Chenye reached out and knocked on the door, “Mingi, are you okay?”
“No, I’m fine, just thirsty, drank a little water…” Ye Mingi’s goofy voice echoed from the bathroom.
“…”
Several black lines slid down Jin Chenye’s forehead.
Drinking water in the bathroom, could she be drinking her bath water?!
Seeing this scene, Jin Chenye felt completely uneasy.
He called for the waiter to prepare so hangover tea, rembering she hadn’t eaten much during the evening, he prepared so snacks too, and only then sat down on the sofa to wait for her.
Ye Mingi seed to have fallen asleep in the bathroom, for nearly half an hour, she hadn’t co out.
Jin Chenye paced back and forth in the room tens of tis, if it wasn’t for the fact she was showering, he might have barged in already.
“Mingi, are you done bathing?”
Jin Chenye steadily walked to the bathroom door and reached out to politely knock on the door.
“…”
He was t with silence.
Could she have fainted in the bathroom?
Recalling her strange reaction earlier on, Jin Chenye’s heart suddenly tightened.
His hand slid to the doorknob, just about to push open the door when he saw the bathroom door opening from inside.
Ye Mingi was wearing a white bathrobe, with long, wet hair draped over her shoulders.
After soaking in water for too long, her face was sowhat pale, yet tinged with a bit of drunken blush.
It seed she hadn’t expected Jin Chenye to be standing outside the bathroom, Ye Mingi almost stumbled into his arms with an abrupt halt.
“Are you alright?”
Jin Chenye reached out and held her up, seeing her standing unsteadily, he directly picked her up and strode toward the bed.
Placing her on the bed, he pulled the quilt over to cover her, then realized her hair was still wet, and pulled her up again.
He turned to the bathroom, grabbed the hairdryer, sat on the bed, and began to dry her hair.
After her drunken bout, Ye Mingi beca very quiet.
She dumbly turned to look at Jin Chenye, smiling sweetly, not saying a word.
She didn’t throw a tantrum, just obediently letting him dry her hair.
The blowing wind was a bit ticklish, a bit warm, very comfortable on her face.
As he dried, her little head started to bob down, almost falling asleep again but was roused by Jin Chenye.
“Your hair is still quite wet; you’ll catch a cold if you sleep like this. Bear with it a little longer.” Jin Chenye said softly, continuing to dry her hair gently.
By the ti he finished, Ye Mingi couldn’t resist her sleepiness anymore; she nestled directly into his chest, her small face rubbing against his chest, her little hand clutching his shirt, leaving only the back of her head to blow dry…
With eyes narrowed, she drifted off in a second.
When Jin Chenye turned off the hairdryer, he noticed their odd posture.
Ye Mingi curled up like a child lacking a sense of security, clinging tightly to him, not letting go.
“Mingi, wake up, have so hangover tea first.” Jin Chenye gently held her, walked to the sofa, and reached out, taking the hangover tea from the table, bringing it to her mouth.
Ye Mingi, half-asleep, hearing his voice, obediently opened her mouth and drank the tea from the cup.
Smacking her lips, she turned and snuggled back into his embrace, continuing her slumber.
Jin Chenye put the cup down, shook his head helplessly, picked her up in a crosswise hold, and laid her on the bed.
Reaching for the quilt, he gently covered her up.
Just as he was getting up to leave, he found Ye Mingi’s small hand tightly clutching the hem of his clothes.
