Chapter 1796: Chapter 1796: Why Are You Here
Just about to speak, she reconsidered and stood aside.
Ye Mingi was staying alone in the hotel. She cautiously peered through the peephole of her room door but saw no one, furrowing her brow slightly.
Thinking it was her imagination, she was about to go back to sleep when a high-pitched voice reached her ears.
“There’s a fire in the hotel. We ask our distinguished guests to promptly cooperate with the staff in evacuating.”
“Fire?” Ye Mingi’s nerves tightened, and she reached out to open the door.
Instead of seeing any staff, she saw Yu Xiuzhun standing outside the door, and her body trembled violently.
Her hand reacted faster than her reasoning, and just as she was about to quickly close the door, Yu Xiuzhun had already embraced her and squeezed into the room.
“Yu Xiuzhun, let go of !”
Ye Mingi panicked and imdiately bit onto his arm.
“Ugh…”
Yu Xiuzhun winced in pain, furrowed his brows, but his hands remained firm, directly carrying her into the room and throwing her onto the sofa.
“Haven’t seen for so long, haven’t you missed ?” Yu Xiuzhun stepped forward, bent down, pinched her chin, and raised his eyebrows slightly.
“I wish I would never see you again!” Ye Mingi climbed up from the sofa, gritting her teeth with hatred. She wanted to turn her head, but her chin was held tight by him.
She swallowed hard, unable to comprehend how Yu Xiuzhun could suddenly appear.
She had managed to escape him, and barely a week had passed. Was she to return to a hellish life?
Ye Mingi instinctively wanted to retreat, to avoid contact with Yu Xiuzhun.
“Why are you here?” Ye Mingi’s voice trembled as she asked, “I’ve already left the US, why won’t you let be…”
“Don’t start crying the mont you see . I haven’t even touched you yet!” Yu Xiuzhun spoke irritably, increasing the harshness of his tone and furrowing his brow.
“Do you think leaving the US can keep you away from ? Ye Mingi, didn’t I tell you that unless I grow tired, even if you hide at the ends of the earth, I will dig you out!”
Yu Xiuzhun watched as Ye Mingi instantly burst into tears, his heart surrounded by a sullen annoyance.
His facial wounds only deepened the cold ruthlessness in his expression.
Ye Mingi was so frightened she couldn’t speak.
“Is there a dical kit?” Yu Xiuzhun suddenly asked.
“…”
Ye Mingi’s eyes paused, looking at him in shock.
She had noticed the wounds on his face, but why should she tend to his injuries when she wasn’t responsible for them?
Ye Mingi bit her lip, pretending not to hear him.
“I asked if you have a dical kit?” Yu Xiuzhun repeated his question, tightening his grip on her hand, and Ye Mingi imdiately winced in pain.
“Staying around Jin Chenye for a while, and you’ve started to defy , huh?” Yu Xiuzhun’s brows slightly arched, revealing his anger.
Ye Mingi’s face turned pale, yet she bit her teeth and kept silent.
She had to learn to say no to him, or she’d never break free from this monster’s entanglent.
But looking at the swollen wound on his face, Ye Mingi couldn’t help but speak, “Did you get into a fight?”
“Fighting isn’t the point; the point is who I fought with.” Yu Xiuzhun seed to deliberately tease her as he approached her, sat on the sofa, and pulled her into his embrace.
Ye Mingi turned her head to avoid his gaze, but he didn’t get angry.
His large hand pinched her small face, coldly laughing, “I gave Jin Chenye a good beating.”
On his handso face, a layer of coldness spread along with apparent… smugness.
