Capítulo 1843: Chapter 1843: A Kind Reminder
“The Ito Family thanks Mr. Xi for appreciating us. I know what to do next. This ti, we’ll ensure Dan Yi has no chance to recover and exact revenge for the old chairman.”
After Ito Hiroki secured the check and pledged loyalty, he left the villa.
“Such people can only be used temporarily, never trusted. Sooner or later, the Ito Family must be eliminated,” Yu Xiuzhun said coldly, watching Ito Hiroki’s departing figure.
“I never trusted him anyway. However, the price I offered is higher than Dan Yi’s. He might betray but won’t betray money,” Dan Hanxi squinted, his eyes reflecting a cold gleam.
“So he still doesn’t know your leg can’t be healed?” Yu Xiuzhun approached, resting one hand on Dan Hanxi’s wheelchair.
“Do you think if that old fox Ito Hiroki knew he couldn’t rely on forever, he’d still dare to risk helping ?” Dan Hanxi counter-questioned instead of answering.
Lifting his head, he exchanged a glance with Yu Xiuzhun.
The sa gleam flickered in both their eyes.
“This ti, Dan Yi has truly brought ruin upon himself. We needn’t do anything—Dan Hanjie won’t let him go. Once he loses power, many will clean up after him based on the situation,” Yu Xiuzhun said with a wicked smile at the corners of his lips.
“When will my face heal?” Dan Hanxi abruptly asked, his voice gentle and distant.
“It can’t be rushed; it requires a recovery period. Look at it now; it’s almost there,” Yu Xiuzhun glanced down at him, eyes gleaming.
Dan Hanxi’s scars were severe, even costic surgery couldn’t leave no trace.
But now, it didn’t look as hideous and terrifying as before.
“As long as it doesn’t scare her,” Dan Hanxi lowered his gaze, staring at his numb legs, his eyes becoming profound.
His voice was so soft that Yu Xiuzhun didn’t hear it, thinking he was talking to himself and ignored it.
“Looks like you’ve got plans. I’m waiting for your good news,” Yu Xiuzhun said, patting his shoulder, then turned around, preparing to go back to his room.
“Where did you go last night?” Dan Hanxi abruptly spoke, turning his wheelchair to face Yu Xiuzhun.
Yu Xiuzhun paused, not looking back, “Since when did you start caring about my whereabouts?”
“Yesterday, the young lady from the Yang family ca here looking for soone. I rember you ntioned that woman is still useful to you. Just a friendly reminder,”
Dan Hanxi answered casually.
He pushed his wheelchair, passing the stunned Yu Xiuzhun, and went to his room first.
Yu Xiuzhun stood in the courtyard, dazed for half a minute before cursing under his breath.
Yesterday he was so furious, he completely forgot about Yang ilan!
…
Private villa.
Qin Youxuan waited all day for Dan Hanjie to return, but instead received a strange phone call.
“I want to see you.”
“Who are you?” Qin Youxuan was taken aback, not reacting for a mont.
Thinking it was a wrong number, she suddenly recalled sothing the next second.
“Dan Hanxi? It’s you!” Qin Youxuan sat up straight, her expression turning tense.
“I’m glad you can still recognize my voice,” Dan Hanxi’s voice was gentle, unfamiliar in its tone to Qin Youxuan, yet inexplicably eerie.
“You didn’t die after all! The recent events are your doing, aren’t they? What exactly do you want to do?” Qin Youxuan asked several questions in succession, all of them unanswered by Dan Hanxi.
