Walking out of the courtyard, Yu Xiuzhun’s figure was nowhere to be seen.
Ye Mingi tentatively walked forward for a while until she saw his handso silhouette in the direction of the main gate.
Yu Xiuzhun was leaning against a sports car, his eyes angled as he looked in her direction, sharp eyes sending a wave of anger from a distance that Ye Mingi could feel.

Thinking of sothing, she spoke weakly, “Yu Xiuzhun, can you return my phone? I want to call my mom.”
Ye Mingi was famously a good girl, always informing Su Yiru of her whereabouts whenever she went out.

Ye Mingi checked the ti of the missed calls again; all were from an hour ago to now.

Ye Mingi bit her lip and quickly replied to Jin Chenye with a ssage, assuring him she was fine.
As soon as the ssage was sent, the phone rang.
Ye Mingi was startled, almost dropping the phone.
“Why the panic?” Yu Xiuzhun glanced at her, noticing the caller ID, his face suddenly darkened.
Sarcastically smirking, “Your actions are really fast; as soon as you turn on the phone, he calls. Should I complint how well you synchronize?”
“…”
Ye Mingi glanced at him, then plucked up the courage to answer the call.
“Mingi, where are you now? Don’t be afraid; I’m out…” Jin Chenye’s anxious yet gentle voice sounded through.
“Senior, are you hurt?” Ye Mingi interrupted him, asking worriedly.
She feared Jin Chenye might be hard because of her.
“I’m fine.” Jin Chenye seed to sense the oddness in her tone, his voice becoming calm.
“As long as you’re okay, I’m fine too. I still have so things to do here; I’ll call you later.” Ye Mingi racked her brain for an excuse but could think of nothing, leaving things unsaid.
“Are you with Yu Xiuzhun?” Jin Chenye’s voice slightly deepened, carrying a hint of disapproval, “Mingi, he’s not soone you can handle. Listen to , leave him quickly!”
“Senior, I…”
As soon as Ye Mingi spoke, Yu Xiuzhun snatched the phone and ended the call without a word.
Throwing the phone back into her arms.
His mischievous eyes glanced at her displeased face, “Seems you don’t want to call Su Yiru for reassurance anymore.”

Ye Mingi silently swallowed the complaint forming at her lips and picked up the phone to call Su Yiru.
After the call ended, she looked out the car window, knitting her brows at the unfamiliar path.
“Where are you taking ?”
“Is this the only thing you know to say while with ?” Yu Xiuzhun frowned in displeasure.
Always looking as if worrying he might sell her off.
