“It’s none of your business!” Ye Mingi forcefully pulled her hand back, raised her head, and glared at him.

She broke free from Yu Xiuzhun’s hand and took a few steps back.

Yu Xiuzhun seed surprised by her decisiveness, stood there stunned, watching her about to leave.
Only when Ye Mingi’s thin body suddenly fell back did Yu Xiuzhun snap back to reality, take a quick step forward, and pull her into his arms.
Noticing her deathly pale face, he was suddenly shocked.

Yu Xiuzhun’s gaze moved, fixedly staring at the bloodstain on her dress, his eyes tightening.
He swiftly carried her, got into the car, and rushed to the hospital.

In the hospital.
All that was in front of him was white.
White walls, white sheets and quilts.
Yu Xiuzhun’s handso silhouette leaned casually in the smoking area of the corridor, his face showing no expression, no hint of his emotions.
A cigarette was clutched between his fingers, rely held there, unlit.
His long fingers occasionally flicked the ash, looking with disgust at the white surroundings, as if standing there, his darkness could be instantly contrasted.
The flickering cigarette light reflected in his eyes, flashing mysteriously.
His tall figure stood there, needing not much more, and the pressure around him unknowingly dropped.
“Mr. Yu, Miss Ye has been transferred to the VIP ward and will probably wake up after a while.” The assistant hurriedly walked to Yu Xiuzhun’s side, reporting respectfully.
Upon hearing this, Yu Xiuzhun’s eyes flashed, he brought the cigarette to his lips, took a deep drag, then extinguished it, and exhaled a thick cloud of smoke forcefully.
He quickly turned and headed towards the VIP ward.
His seemingly careless movents betrayed his nervousness as his footsteps beca erratic.

He didn’t know what he was panicking about…
Taking a deep breath, Yu Xiuzhun finally raised his head slowly and pushed open the door of the ward.
A gust of wind blew in, stirring the curtains and blurring his vision.
Yu Xiuzhun paused at the doorway, his short hair tousled by the wind, a few strands falling over his forehead, adding an air of roguishness to his face.
His gaze fell on the person lying in bed, and Yu Xiuzhun’s eyes instantly softened.
He closed the door and stepped forward to her side.
