Ye Family Villa.
Su Yiru learned that Ye Mingi was returning and waited outside the gate early in the morning.
Seeing the car driving into the villa, she hurried to greet it.
"Mom, why did you co out?" Ye Mingi pushed open the car door, saw Su Yiru waiting outside, and quickly got out.
She instructed the driver to take her suitcase into the house first.
"You said you wanted to co back suddenly and didn’t let pick you up. How could I not worry?" Su Yiru stepped forward, holding Ye Mingi’s hand, and tapped her forehead with her finger.
"You’re already an adult, yet still so wilful. It’s safest with Youxuan, but you just had to insist on coming back."
"I missed you. I wasn’t at ease with you being ho alone, so I hurried back to keep you company. Now you’re upset." Ye Mingi hooked her arm around Su Yiru’s, leaning coquettishly into her embrace.
"I can’t argue with you, but I missed you too. It’s good you ca back. Yu Xiuzhun has been gone for so long; I doubt he’ll show up again." Su Yiru patted Ye Mingi’s hand, leading her toward the living room.
She didn’t notice Ye Mingi’s face turning pale all of a sudden.
Upon hearing Yu Xiuzhun’s na, she imdiately recalled that recent phone call and bit her lip anxiously.
"Mingi, what are you thinking about? I’ve called you several tis with no response!" Su Yiru waved her hand in front of Ye Mingi’s face, frowning.
"...It’s nothing. I’m just a bit tired. What did you just say, Mom?"
"I asked what you’d like to eat later. I’ll have the kitchen prepare it. If you’re tired, you should rest first. There’s still ti before dinner, and I’ll co to get you when it’s ready."
Su Yiru, seeing her tired expression, compassionately led her back to her room.
She urged Ye Mingi to lie down and rest, covering her with the blanket before leaving.
Ye Mingi was indeed exhausted. She had been feeling drowsy lately, and soon fell into a deep sleep just after lying down.

The assistant respectfully stood by Yu Xiuzhun, handing over the docunts he held.
"A bunch of worthless fools, only caring about imdiate gains, busy fighting for power without knowing how they’ll et their end!" Yu Xiuzhun took the file from the assistant’s hands, glancing over it as he spoke coldly.
The tall figure stood against the wind, his black trench coat fluttering, outlining a chilling silhouette.
On his handso face was a layer of frost; the thought of everything in the Yu clan being destroyed by his hands cast a sinister gleam in his eyes.
A hint of unwillingness lingered.
Recalling that earlier phone call, the gleam in his eyes quickly dimd.
"Prepare the yacht. I need to go back." Yu Xiuzhun’s grip on the docunt tightened slightly as he turned, his thin lips parting, articulating each word deliberately.
"Mr. Yu, the Yu family is a muddy ss now, and the new family head is persistently looking for you, wanting to ensure no future troubles. Going back now is too dangerous..."
The assistant was about to dissuade him but halted awkwardly under Yu Xiuzhun’s cold and fierce gaze.
"I’ll arrange it imdiately."
"I need to depart at once." Looking at the vast, turbulent sea, Yu Xiuzhun, thinking of the pregnant Ye Mingi, couldn’t afford to wait any longer.
"But there’s a transaction scheduled for tomorrow in the northern region of Colombia. If Mr. Yu doesn’t attend, it could cause issues." The assistant reminded him, not without concern.
