"There’s a speedboat ready on the cruise ship. All we need to do is accelerate and head straight to international waters. Once there, we’ll wait for the pickup and escape the pursuit." The assistant jumped off the deck first to prepare the speedboat.
"What’s that sound?"
A series of faint footsteps reached his ears, making Yu Xiuzhun’s nerves tense.
"Are there other people on the cruise ship?" Yu Xiuzhun looked ahead, his eyes narrowing.
Ye Mingi inford Qin Youxuan, so Qin Youxuan should appear from the sa direction as her, opposite the footsteps he heard. This suggests that another force has discovered his whereabouts and silently boarded!
Besides the police, there’s only his enemies left...
"Damn it! They’re heading toward the deck!" Yu Xiuzhun cursed, rushing back like the wind towards the incoming direction.
On the deck, only Ye Mingi was present; Qin Youxuan and others hadn’t boarded yet. If she encounters his enemies now...
Yu Xiuzhun’s eyes blazed with fury.
"Search carefully. Since he’s bold enough to return, we must ensure he can’t leave! Eliminate everyone on this ship!" A deep male voice echoed beside her, causing Ye Mingi to pause, turning her head in confusion.
Facing a group of unfamiliar faces, she froze completely.
Her body instinctively retreated but bumped against the deck’s railing.
She deliberately stood in the most conspicuous spot waiting for Qin Youxuan; there was nowhere to hide here...
"Who’s there!"
A man walked towards her, raising the gun’s dark barrel directly at Ye Mingi.
"Watch out!"
Two voices rang out simultaneously, and in a flash, Ye Mingi couldn’t react as a dark figure darted in front of her, shielding her in an embrace.
A muffled sound echoed in her ear.
Ye Mingi’s eyes, dazed, only snapped back to reality upon realizing it was Yu Xiuzhun in front of her.
The dampness in her palm made her whole body tremble uncontrollably. Watching Yu Xiuzhun’s handso face slowly turn pale, her throat felt constricted.
She couldn’t utter a single word.
"Thank goodness... you’re safe..." Yu Xiuzhun lifted his hand, his long fingers brushing past her brows, curving into a devilish smile, "What to do, I seem to never fulfill my promises to you..."
Yu Xiuzhun slowly released his grip, his tall figure suddenly fell sideways, crashing against the railing, plunging into the sea.
"Yu Xiuzhun—"
Ye Mingi reached out, but could only grasp a corner of his clothing, screaming with all her might.
"Mr. Yu!"
The assistant raced to the deck, grasping the scene and dashed forward in agitation.
He drew his gun and dispatched the n in front of him.
Just about to dive in after Yu Xiuzhun, he abruptly rembered sothing, turned around and grabbed the stunned Ye Mingi, shielding her as they ran toward the exit.
"Miss Ye, you must leave quickly. Mr. Yu’s fate is uncertain, and the child in your belly is his last bloodline. You must leave here safely!"
"I’m not leaving... I want to find him..."
Ye Mingi’s face was ghostly pale, still unable to recover from the recent events.
She couldn’t accept that soone she thought had safely left was now gone right before her eyes...
Stumbling, she turned around, ready to look for Yu Xiuzhun.
"Boom!"
The assistant knelt before her, growling, "Miss Ye, I beg of you, for Mr. Yu’s sake, leave here imdiately."
How many people had boarded the cruise ship, they truly didn’t know.
