Ye Mingi’s eyes flickered as she silently got out of bed and walked towards the wall.

Reaching the wall, she stretched out her hand and touched its surface.

After a few tries, she still couldn’t push it open.

Was it her illusion?

Could it be just decoration, not a real door?

"Miss Ye, you’re awake." From behind, the nurse’s surprised voice ca from not far away. Seeing Ye Mingi standing by the wall, she quickly approached.

"The Family Head guessed you’d be waking up about now and instructed us to check on your health."

The nurse glanced at the wall, eting Ye Mingi’s puzzled gaze, and then turned her head away as if she hadn’t noticed anything.

"Isn’t there a door here?"

Ye Mingi pointed at the pattern on the wall and looked at the nurse.

"Of course not, it’s just a mural in the ward. The entrance to the ward next door is just like this one, both on the west side, but this is the south side."

The nurse quickly explained to Ye Mingi.

Seeing that she only frowned slightly and didn’t ask further, she helped her back to the bed.

After taking her blood pressure and pulse, the nurse spoke, "Miss Ye, if you go to the restroom and the bleeding isn’t severe, then everything is fine."

"I understand." Ye Mingi stepped towards the restroom.

The nurse stayed by her side, supporting her. Her body hadn’t recovered, and she walked very slowly, each step was painful.

She looked back frequently, as if pondering why there was such a strange mural in the ward.

"Our Family Head always acts according to his own preferences and never cares about societal opinion. This experintal building was designed by him, so it’s naturally to his liking. Nothing is surprising here."

Seeing Ye Mingi was still puzzled by the mural, the nurse smiled and said.

"Miss Ye just gave birth, and the little baby is still in observation. You might stay here for a while longer. If you don’t like it, you can tell the Family Head. If he permits, I can change it for you."

"No need to trouble yourself, it’s not that I don’t like it, I’m just curious if the mural has any aning." Ye Mingi glanced at the wall again.

She couldn’t describe the feeling, only that the closer she got to the wall, the more turbulent her heart beca.

It felt like sothing was drawing her towards it.

But when she leaned against the wall, all those feelings vanished.

"It’s just a painting. This kind of mural is common in the experintal building. It might be strange because it’s your first ti here, but once you can go around, you’ll get used to it." The nurse laughed.

"Is that so?" Ye Mingi looked at her bright smile and followed with a slight smile of her own.

After coming out of the restroom, Ye Mingi sat at the edge of the bed and picked up the little girl who was starting to cry.

"Are you hungry?" As a first-ti mom, Ye Mingi felt a bit at a loss.

Watching the baby waiting to be fed, she didn’t know how to hold her comfortably.

The nurse was very patient, guiding Ye Mingi in feeding the baby. Once the little one was full and asleep in Ye Mingi’s arms, she left.

Ye Mingi held her daughter, soft as cotton, in her arms. Her long fingers brushed over the baby’s delicate features.

Looking at the fair, pink little one, she felt a naless flutter in her heart.

"Yu Xiuzhun, if you saw our daughter, would you like her very much?"

"Click——"

As Ye Mingi’s words fell, a faint sound of a door opening suddenly echoed.
