"There’s no need to rush. We just need to observe," Diwu Zexuan said, reaching out to hold her shoulder, his eyes darkening slightly.
Seeing Rui Hui trembling, he tightened his grip on her arm and pressed the intercom button.
"Bring all the examination reports in here. I want to confirm everything again!"
Diwu Zexuan finished speaking, picked Rui Hui up, and carried her over to the nearby sofa, placing her down.
He kissed her forehead lightly, "Rest for a while."
"I want to stay with you," Rui Hui said, aware that he wanted to re-evaluate all the health checkups, her small hand uneasily clutching at his clothes.
It’s not that she didn’t trust Diwu Zexuan’s dical skills.
She was worried that Diwu Zexuan might, in order to comfort her, deceive her with another well-intentioned lie.
"Given your current physical condition, you’re in no state to make a professional judgnt," Diwu Zexuan said, his thin lips parting slightly, his indifferent tone revealing nothing unusual.
His words instantly struck a sensitive nerve in Rui Hui.
"I’m worried about the baby. Aren’t you worried too? Why do you think I can’t make a professional judgnt, but you can?" Rui Hui sat up from the sofa, turning to walk toward his desk.
After just two steps, Diwu Zexuan swept her up sideways.
"If you insist on opposing like this, I’ll have to make you go back to the room to rest!"
"Diwu Zexuan, if you lock up again, I’ll climb out the window! If you lock the window, I’ll crash through the wall!" Rui Hui yelled angrily, her face flushed with rage.
"You won’t."
"I, Rui Hui, fear nothing, so why not!" Rui Hui, provoked by him, forcefully shook off his hand.
She took a step back, raising her head to glare at him fiercely.
"Are you willing to let our baby, who hasn’t even seen the world yet, follow you to the Yama Palace?" Diwu Zexuan looked at his empty arms, a trace of coldness passing through his bewitching eyes.
Stepping forward, he clasped her shoulders with both hands.
Pulling her back into his embrace.
"Don’t let your intelligence run away with your emotions when you’re anxious. Think about it. You’re worried about the baby, and so am I, but the baby is in your belly, so I’m more worried about you."

Rui Hui’s body shook, an indescribable emotion filled her chest, warm and yet sour.
Tears instantly welled up in her eyes, and she bit her lip hard to hold back from crying.
"Silly girl, you’re going to be a mom and still so childish." Seeing her calm down, Diwu Zexuan affectionately rubbed her little head, holding her tightly in his arms.
His Rui Hui feared nothing, yet cared so much about his child, and he should be happy about that.
"Knock, knock—"
"Master, here are the original examination docunts. Every detail of the examination and its results are here." The assistant quickly entered with a thick stack of files.
Seeing that Diwu Zexuan had no other instructions, the assistant respectfully withdrew to the door.
Rui Hui leaned against Diwu Zexuan, her emotions having cald significantly, yet she still felt sowhat uneasy.
Staring at the thick stack of docunts in front of her, she didn’t dare to look, only watching as Diwu Zexuan went through them one by one. When she saw his expression turn grim, she would sneak a peek.
"The baby is only just over three months. The screenings I arranged in advance were just to determine the baby’s early developnt. Even if there are issues, a major screening is needed after five months to confirm anything."
Diwu Zexuan pulled out a photograph, placing it on top.
The tiny fetus appeared clearly before them.
