"Let’s go, I’ll take you ho."
As soon as class ended, Tingye took it upon himself to pack ii’s school bag, casually slinging it over his shoulder. Holding ii’s hand with one hand, he walked briskly out of the classroom.
His deanor was so graceful, exuding an indescribable nobility.
His handso, expressionless face was so captivating that one couldn’t look away.
At such a young age, he’s already enchanting a group of little girls!
ii had been feeling downcast all day, walking with her head low.
Jiang Nan kept chirping around her, trying to cheer her up, but she only managed a slight smile.
The three of them walked out the school gates and saw Ye Mingi waiting outside, slightly taken aback.
"Mom—"
ii was the first to react, breaking free from Tingye’s hand and sprinting towards Ye Mingi.
She plunged into her mother’s arms, tears that had been held back all day finally flowing freely.
-
Ye Mingi received a call from the teacher in the morning and rushed to the kindergarten.
ii’s horoom teacher, along with two other caregivers, had all lined up at the gate after hearing she would co. As soon as Ye Mingi arrived, they respectfully ushered her into the office.
"Miss Ye, we apologize for the inconvenience of bringing you here. We know you’re busy..."
"You don’t have to be formal. Where’s ii? Why haven’t I seen her?" Ye Mingi was breathing heavily. It was only upon receiving the call from the kindergarten that she suddenly rembered ii’s howork from last ti wasn’t finished.
Moreover, Su Yiru had been pressuring her about blind dates these past few days, causing her to forget.
ii’s reluctance to attend kindergarten had been weighing on her mind. Even if not for the teacher’s call, she intended to visit the kindergarten.
Now that she’s here, ii is missing!
"Miss Ye, don’t worry. Yu Xin is fine; she just went with her two little brothers to the preschool class," the horoom teacher quickly explained.
"Preschool class..."
Knowing that ii was safe, Ye Mingi let out a sigh of relief, yet she was also stunned.
"Miss Ye, the reason we asked you to co is to discuss Yu Xin’s situation. There’s sothing you might not know: Yu Xin is very concerned about not having a father..."
The horoom teacher spoke tactfully, but she briefly explained what had happened since the term began.
"Miss Ye, we engage in educational work, but it’s rare for us to see a child as mature as Yu Xin. She’s just three years old, already understands she shouldn’t let her mother worry, keeping everything inside. Even when bullied by other children, she won’t tell anyone. We’re concerned that if this continues, she might beco withdrawn."
"..."
Ye Mingi’s throat was tight, her nose tingling, clenching her purse with both hands to hold back her tears.
She had always known ii was very sensible, rely feeling gratified at how well-behaved her daughter was.
She was so busy avoiding her own unfaceable sadness that she had forgotten to consider her daughter’s feelings.
She’s so young, yet she’s keeping so much bottled inside.
Withdrawn...
A lively, adorable child like ii, how could she beco withdrawn?
"What should I do?"
Ye Mingi’s voice quivered as she choked out the question.
"Try to spend more ti with her, avoid leaving her alone too much. Also... the heart of Yu Xin’s issue is about having a father. If possible, find a way for her to have a father figure, or let her feel the warmth of paternal love, so she’ll feel no different from other children."
"..."
Ye Mingi didn’t know how she left the office.
She wandered aimlessly around the campus for the better part of the day before finally reaching the school gate to wait for ii to finish class.
