In terms of material possessions, she would never shortchange her daughter. But ii was very sensible; even without reminders, she wouldn’t be spoiled.
Upon hearing Ye Mingi’s words, ii didn’t happily pick out another dress. Instead, she took off the one she was wearing so the sales clerk could wrap it up. After Ye Mingi swiped her card, she held ii’s hand and left.
All the way, besides taking care of her daughter, Ye Mingi cautiously looked back from ti to ti, an indescribable feeling in her heart making her uneasy.
Not until the Ye Family’s bodyguards reached them did Ye Mingi feel at ease and focus on shopping with her daughter.
She bought a few more dresses for ii and so puzzles that she liked, then carried her out of the mall.
"What’s happening up ahead? Why are there so many people?" Ye Mingi looked at the crowded street less than a block away, frowning in confusion.
The bodyguard following her quickly explained, "Miss, the amusent park up ahead is opening today. It’s lively—I’ve heard there’s an acrobatics troupe performing—many people have co specifically to watch it, especially families with children."
Amusent park...
Ye Mingi instinctively looked down at ii and sure enough, saw ii’s eyes light up instantly.
Since ii was born, Ye Mingi never had the courage to take her to places like amusent parks, fearing she would see other kids there with their parents and be unable to explain why ii didn’t have a father.
Ye Mingi knew that the one she couldn’t face wasn’t ii, but herself.
She simply couldn’t let go of Yu Xiuzhun, always hoping in her heart that maybe one day he would co back and accompany her and their daughter to an amusent park, fulfilling ii’s wish, and fulfilling her own dream as well.
"Do you want to go?" Ye Mingi’s gaze flickered; she squatted down, gently holding ii’s shoulders, and softly asked.
Three years had passed, if Yu Xiuzhun was to return, he would have done so long ago.
The fact that ii didn’t have a father was indisputable, and she couldn’t selfishly deprive her daughter of beautiful childhood mories any longer.
"Do you want to go, mom?" ii tilted her little head and asked sweetly, looking at Ye Mingi whose face didn’t look well.
"As long as you want to go, mom wants to go too. We’re not in a hurry today, why don’t mom accompany you inside to play for a while, okay?"
As soon as Ye Mingi spoke the words, ii nodded like a rattle drum.
Seeing ii’s excited little face, Ye Mingi felt a pang in her heart.
These years, she had been imrsed in a sorrow she didn’t want to face, neglecting ii’s growth—it was her mistake.
"No need to detour, we’ll go there from here and see what’s going on."
"Yes, Miss."
The two bodyguards nodded respectfully, one accompanied Ye Mingi and ii, while the other swiftly went ahead to purchase tickets.
The opening of the large amusent park attracted a huge crowd from the surrounding area, bustling and lively.
It was ii’s first ti at the amusent park, her little body constantly moving around in Ye Mingi’s embrace, her beautiful big eyes full of curiosity. No matter where Ye Mingi took her, she’d happily want to play.
From the carousel to the bumper cars, ii kept wanting to play more, dragging Ye Mingi to each new ga area one after another.
"Let’s sit over there for a while, take a break, and drink so water."
Walking out of the Water Balloon Area, Ye Mingi took out a handkerchief to wipe ii’s damp little face, held her little hand, and walked toward the nearby resting area.
After only a few steps, she suddenly stopped and turned her head to look back.
