Her eyes widened with disbelief as she looked at Jin Chenye, who seed to have changed into a different person. Her mouth was slightly ajar.

ng Ziqi’s term of endearnt was stopped in its tracks by Jin Chenye’s sharp gaze, causing her to awkwardly close her mouth and remain stunned for a mont.
“It’s working hours now. What did you co to for?” Jin Chenye, ignoring ng Ziqi’s shocked expression, fetched a cigarette from a box on the table, lit it, and took a deep drag.
A wisp of smoke encircled his handso face, outlining an aloof, gloomy countenance.
His casual action seed to expose a side of him that was hidden and unknown to others in its entirety.
“I’m here for…” ng Ziqi stared intently at that cigarette between Jin Chenye’s fingers, struggled to swallow her saliva before managing to calm herself, “I ca regarding my aunt’s condition. I heard that in Southeast Asia, there’s an incredible doctor who may be able to awaken people in a vegetative state using hypnosis. My father has already asked soone to inquire about it, we found out that he is currently in Thailand, so…”
ng Ziqi deliberately paused there, her face full of grievances as she looked up at Jin Chenye.
She knew Jin Chenye wanted to save Jin Lan, but whether a vegetative person could wake up really depended on fate.
She was now offering a clear path beyond fate, and if Jin Lan really woke up, Jin Chenye might be grateful to her for the rest of his life.
“Are you referring to the Divine Doctor, Diwu Zexuan?” Jin Chenye’s eyes flashed, his face remained unchanged, but his tone was noticeably softer.
After all, ng Ziqi had saved his mother and she had just been discharged from the hospital. Now she was also making efforts for Jin Lan’s condition.

Jin Chenye’s gaze paused for a few seconds before he lifted his hand to put out his cigarette and looked over at ng Ziqi, “It’s getting late. If you’re not too busy, you could wait for in the lounge. We can have dinner together after work.”
“Alright, I won’t interrupt your work then. I’ll wait for you in the lounge” joy spread across ng Ziqi’s face, she did her best to maintain her composure, nearly radiant as she went to the nearby lounge.
