Chapter 312: Taking Advantage of the Weak
“How did your hand get injured?!” As Bai Wei ca to her senses, she instantly rushed up to Dan Hanjie, trying to reach for his hand, but he sidestepped to avoid her.
“Don’t touch .”
Dan Hanjie narrowed his eyes and turned to stride towards his study, blatantly ignoring the worry in Bai Wei’s eyes.
He didn’t appreciate any woman getting close to him, Bai Wei included.
Even when he fell asleep to her scent, Bai Wei could only lie a ter away from him.

Dan Hanjie’s gaze turned dark, his eyes deep set, his strong facial features tightened. He pressed his lips together and walked forward, not uttering a word.
“Jie, your hand is severely injured, how can you not bandage it!” Bai Wei yelled from behind him, her eyes filled with panic.
Just as she was about to catch up with him, she heard Dan Hanjie’s cold warning.
“If you dare to touch a single finger of mine, I will imdiately have you sent back to Arica.”

Bai Wei stopped in her tracks, raising her head to look at him in disbelief.

The light in Bai Wei’s eyes slowly dimd.
She stood still, not moving a muscle.
She watched, paralyzed, as Dan Hanjie allowed his wound to bleed freely and walked into his study.
Bai Wei hesitated for a while before entering the master bedroom.
She glanced at the empty room and was montarily stunned.
She had expected to see Qin Youxuan, but instead found the room in a state of disarray.
The mirror on the dresser was completely shattered, leaving irregular streaks of blood on the wooden fra. The table was sared with a pool of fresh blood that kept dripping onto the floor…
Rembering Dan Hanjie’s hand, Bai Wei’s eyes tightened. She was about to turn back to the study to coax him, but sothing in the wastebasket caught her eye. Her steps faltered.

Bai Wei approached, staring at the wastebasket for a mont before reaching in to retrieve a small, crushed box.

She anxiously bit her lip.
After grappling with her thoughts for a while, she finally pushed open the door to the study.

Her calls were t with silence.

Upon stepping into the pitch-black study, Bai Wei was startled, clasping her hand over her mouth to suppress a scream.
Fumbling, she pulled out her phone, turning on the flashlight to illuminate the room and compose herself.
Her voice quivered with the edge of tears, “Jie, it’s so dark in here, where are you…”
Bai Wei stood rooted to the spot, too scared to venture further.
