Chapter 462: Chapter 462: The Unusual Da Bai
Just as she was feeling relieved at the thought of a peaceful day, her phone chid with a new ssage.
[Go out to the balcony and look, I’ve sent you a gift.]

A jolt of nerves passed through Qin Youxuan and she quickly threw off the covers and rushed out of the room.
On the balcony, the glossy floor was lit up with dazzling light of the dawn. She scanned the area and found nothing except for so tatami mats and a coffee table.
Is soone making fool of her?
As she was about to retreat, a bright streak of light flashed in front of her.
Qin Youxuan froze in her steps.
Looking towards the source of the light, her eyes narrowed.
On the wall, a picture was reflected. It was a close-up of a man. His features were quite distinct, but unfortunately, being just a projection, his actual face wasn’t clear.
After staring at it for a few seconds, Qin Youxuan quickly spun around and leaned over the balcony railing to look downstairs.
There was absolutely nothing in the courtyard of the Yujing Villa.
What was going on with this projection on the wall?
“This is freaking creepy!” Qin Youxuan muttered under her breath.
She tip-toed to have a broader view, even gazing beyond the high walls of the Yujing Villa, before she vaguely spotted the origin of the light hidden in a low cluster of bushes in the distance.
She ran back to her room to mark the exact direction and location, then grabbed a piece of paper and dashed downstairs.
“Good morning, Miss —”
The servants who were cleaning the living room imdiately stopped and greeted her respectfully as they saw her coming down the stairs.
“Good morning to you all, where is the butler?”
With her brow drenched in sweat, Qin Youxuan rushed a glance to the kitchen but didn’t see the butler.
“The butler is in the yard. Da Bai has chewed up several new morning glory trellises. The butler is out there cleaning up,” a servant timidly replied.
Upon hearing this, Qin Youxuan hurriedly ran towards the yard.
“Arwoo —”
Upon seeing her arrival, Da Bai imdiately ran to her and playfully started biting at her pants, pawing at her legs.
In her urgency, Qin Youxuan ignored it and walked straight towards the butler.
“Miss.”
“These trellises…”
Looking at the scattered trellises and the chewed up vines in front of her, Qin Youxuan suddenly petrified, clicking her tongue.
She had thought that Da Bai had only chewed up one or two of the morning glory trellises, but it seed to have destroyed all the vines in the yard…
“I don’t know what’s been going on with Da Bai these recent days. It’s fine with other types of flowers, but it has to rush at the morning glories and won’t stop until it’s bitten them down to the roots. Especially these newly-introduced species; it bites every one it spots. If we try to stop it, it becos even crazier and starts to attack people,” the butler sighed helplessly.
Even with all their manpower, they couldn’t keep a single wolf cub under control. Da Bai was too clever, always escaping their watch.
Before they knew it, the little creature slipped into the yard and wreaked havoc. It had quite the destructive power for such a small animal.
In just half an hour, it had chewed up all the morning glories in half of the yard.
Just the clean-up alone would probably take half the day.
“Is the one in my room a new species too?”
Qin Youxuan rembered the potted plant on the balcony and asked unconsciously.
The butler nodded, “Yes, I saw that Miss Youxuan liked to read on the balcony, so I placed a pot of morning glory there. Once its vines spread out after a few days, the balcony will be very cool.”
The butler hadn’t finished speaking when Da Bai suddenly turned and ran towards the villa, as if it had understood sothing.
“Stop, Da Bai!”
Qin Youxuan’s nerves jumped and she imdiately turned around to grab it.
