Qin Youxuan moved to the farthest spot from him and sat on the stone slab, vigorously rubbing her feet underwater.
The warm water washed over her body, giving her a comforting sensation.
She held her grievances in her heart, knowing that Dan Hanjie was not keen to co out with her and that all of it was rely a pretense to fool others. She could not bring herself to lighten her mood.
He was still giving off the impression that he did not want to interact with her, the extent of his indifference was extre.
Qin Youxuan’s mood was downcast. She soaked herself until she was leaning against the edge of the pool, falling asleep.
After an unknown amount of ti, Dan Hanjie heard steady breathing coming from beside him, prompting him to slowly open his eyes.
His deep-set eyes rested on her delicate, translucent face.
A faint mist rose with the heat of the hot spring, enveloping her palm-sized face. Her cheeks, flushed with heat, were alluringly rosy, her chin resting on the bowl of her arm.
Even in sleep, her little brows were furrowed…
And she mumbled sothing from ti to ti.
“Don’t push away, I don’t want to go…”

Dan Hanjie cautiously moved closer to her, catching her murmuring in her sleep, his gaze faltering.
His towering figure froze a few inches away from her.
His deep-set eyes stared fixedly at her angelic face, revealing a complex look.
His chest throbbed with an overwhelming pain which only amplified as he continued to gaze at her.
Eventually, Dan Hanjie involuntarily lowered his head, planting a kiss on her puckered lips.
The soft petals of her mouth were irresistible the mont they touched.
“Hmm——”
Qin Youxuan, muddled from sleep, awoke to soone’s antics, instinctively swinging her hand intending to retaliate.
But she found her hands immobilized.
When she figured out whose face was oversized in front of her, she was flabbergasted.
Dan Hanjie took no notice of her shock, his large hand restraining her waist, he pressed her petite figure against himself.
“We are outside…” Qin Youxuan protested nervously.
“No one would dare to co in.”
Dan Hanjie’s voice was so hoarse that it was barely recognizable.
His deep-set eyes emitted an inscrutable glow.
Never had he felt as out of control as he did at this very mont.
Coming to a sudden realization, he stopped all his movents.
His gaze was fixed steadily on her stomach.
Qin Youxuan’s eyes dimd. She knew what was holding him back. Dejectedly, she lowered her gaze and said, hesitantly, “I’m not pregnant.”
Uttering those words, Qin Youxuan’s heart ached sharply.
The irony of her situation hit her hard: how much she had anticipated being pregnant versus the reality of her situation echoing her disappointnt.
“…”
Dan Hanjie’s body visibly shook, his gaze becoming increasingly complex.
“You don’t have to do this. After all, you never wanted any of this. My not being pregnant is perfect…Uh!” Qin Youxuan didn’t get to finish her sentence.
In a daze, she thought she heard his deep voice murmuring, “I’m sorry, kitten.”
Qin Youxuan lost her balance, her hands gripping his shoulders for support…
Waves of water splashed against their bodies.
The splatters soaked the surrounding stone slabs.
An unknown amount of ti passed before their panting slowly subsided…
Qin Youxuan couldn’t identify when it all ended. Her petite figure lay on his muscular chest, too weary to lift her eyelids, but she refused to close them entirely, refusing sleep.
She was scared. Scared that once she woke from her deep slumber, this Dan Hanjie with a heartbeat would turn into nothing more than a dream.
She even feared to speak, worried that it might break her own dream.
After a while, their breath finally cald.
Dan Hanjie reached for a towel from the edge of the pool, wrapped it around her, and lifted her in his arms horizontally.
