After hanging up the phone, Qin Youxuan felt under the back seat, rifles through, and held a gun in her hand.
She placed herself between the gun and Ning Yanan.
“Yaya, don’t be afraid, everything will be alright.”
She didn’t know if she was comforting herself or Ning Yanan. This was her second ti facing a pursuit, and Qin Youxuan’s calmness surprised even Jiang Jinchen himself.

The mont she spoke, the other two in the car breathed a sigh of relief.
They were worried she would fall ill out of fear as it was her first ti facing such a situation.
“I’ve called for backup. They should be here within half an hour,” Qin Youxuan looked up and shouted to Jiang Jinchen.
“By the ti they arrive, we’ll already be riddled with bullet holes,” Jiang Jinchen quickly spun the wheel without turning his head and strategically drove forward to prevent the pursuers from shooting their tires.
If they were blocked on the highway at this mont, they would be dead for sure.
“See that intersection ahead? As far as I rember, there’s a river underneath it. I’ll drive the car there and cover you guys when you jump off. You both have to close your eyes and jump down, hold your breath in the river and don’t make a sound. Don’t hesitate, I will lure away the pursuers,” he said.
“What about you?”
Before Qin Youxuan could say anything, Ning Yanan asked.
Her pale face lifted from her knees, she gazed at Jiang Jinchen’s resolute face in shock.
“Don’t worry, without you two holding back, I won’t die.”
“No way, there are two cars behind us, at least seven or eight people. They have sniper rifles, you can’t dodge their bullets!” Qin Youxuan forced herself to calm down and try to co up with a plan to escape together.
She couldn’t let Jiang Jinchen face it alone.
She just couldn’t.
“We should all abandon the car and jump into the river,” Qin Youxuan suddenly spoke up.
“Are you crazy? If we all jump together it’s akin to committing suicide. Without soone to attract their attention, they will quickly fish us out from the river one by one and we’ll end up in the underworld! Follow my plan, I will cover you guys first, the person left behind will wait for backup,” argued Jiang Jinchen.
He stomped on the accelerator and ramd into the car trying to overtake them, blocking the pursuers.
His adept driving skills could rival those on an F1 racing circuit.
Even Qin Youxuan who always thought he was not serious, was left tongue-tied.
This side of Jiang Jinchen was a surprise.
“Jiang Jinchen, listen to , we must jump together or else we won’t leave you either!” Qin Youxuan growled, and Ning Yanan nodded in agreent by her side.
Seeing Jiang Jinchen’s eyebrows furrow, Qin Youxuan quickly added, “Rest assured, we won’t die. See that U-shaped intersection? If we charge at full speed, what are our odds?”
“…”
Jiang Jinchen narrowed his eyes, looking at Qin Youxuan.
“I’ve been to this river during my studies in Arica. Not far down the stream is a dam, which used to be an air-raid shelter during the war. It was later transford into a drain for the waterway. If we can hide quickly down there, we have the chance to escape along the river.”
As long as they could get into the drainage hole, they would be considered safe.
But all these conditions assud that Jiang Jinchen must have the ability to pass through the U-turn intersection at full speed, luring those two cars behind for a risk.
If they fail to brake in ti, the pursuing cars would certainly tumble over.
