At the secret base within the cliff.
I sat alone in a chair with my eyes closed, checking my skill acquisition status and the extent of my stat increases.
There was no doubt that I had improved many skills overall this time as well.
I obtained Two-Handed Weapons from the younger brother, Ask, and Hidden Weapon Techniques from the mysterious butler.
Additionally, I acquired skills such as Beast Speech Understanding and Animal Training from the coachmen I encountered early on. These are skills that you wouldn’t easily acquire just by defeating bandits. Therefore, being able to pick up even a few of these skills felt significant.
Beyond that, I gained several new job-related skills, including Alchemy, which I obtained from the woman I forcibly recalled with Provocation. From Ash, I acquired skills suited for a ranged role, plus Appraisal and Slave Magic. Through accumulated experience, my Investigation level has risen steadily, all of which has contributed to my growth. But—
Looking at the actual stat increases, though, I couldn’t help but mutter, “Is this all I get after taking down two ranked players and hundreds of scoundrels?” The results were lower than expected.
The average increase for each stat was around 200. Even Magic Power, the stat I most wanted to boost, only increased by about 100, despite being relatively easy to raise.
(I knew this day would e. I guess I just have to accept it as proof that I’ve grown that much.)
The reason was clear. The skills with high possession rates among bandits had already been raised to high enough levels.
Mere street thugs like these wouldn’t raise my skill levels properly anymore.
It was the same as hunting thousands of F-rank or E-rank monsters and not growing stronger.
Still, there’s potential growth with the occasional low-possession-rate skill, or with skills that are still at low levels.
But the dream bonus time, when a flashy announcement plays upon defeating bandits, ends around here.
From now on, slaying groups of thirty petty criminals yields no growth. Occasionally, a rare monster will be among them, and the results will have me cheering or sighing.
I suppose this kind of progression will bee the norm.
Even so, I still “hate” them, so I’ll keep slashing through that sort of scum. I absolutely love rare drop hunting, too.
Hmm.

I inevitably arrive at this conclusion.
Opponents of that level of strength, whether they’re Ask or Ash, aren’t a problem.
Of course, they’re not foes I can let my guard down against. Unless they used a special attack method to which I was extremely vulnerable, I couldn’t see a future in which I got beaten.
Ash is ranked 25th among domestic mercenaries in Freyville.

Objectively speaking, I assess my own standing.
If things go well domestically, I’m in the single digits.
Even conservatively, I’m around 10th place.
But the “All-Rankers” who don’t show themselves publicly are still out of reach. Above them are certain reincarnated individuals, like Hans-san and the hero Takuya, who are far above the clouds.
