"Tsk tsk, just the other day Aunt Second was saying Xu Xue is in charge now." Xu Mumu also laughed; she was quite pleased with how assertive Xu Xue was.
It was expected for Xu Xue to take charge, though the Second Uncle and Aunt on that side might be unhappy for a while.
Xu Xue had already dealt with the issues on the second branch, so Xu Mumu didn’t pay attention. Even if it wasn’t resolved, she wouldn’t have helped.
"Dad, about the eldest sister, don’t go making any random promises to her, we don’t have money." Xu Hai brought up Xu Chuni’s issue again during dinner.
"We can’t just ignore her, can we?" Old Xu sighed.
"We can deal with them, sure. Tomorrow, I’ll take the second and third with to give Tian Zhuang a good beating." Xu Hai smirked, as long as money isn’t ntioned, everything can be arranged.
"That might work, Tian Zhuang really is a piece of work." Madam Chen said with satisfaction.
"Exactly, if I weren’t pregnant, I’d go give him a piece of my mind." Li Caixia said with a grin.
"Dad, if you guys go, be careful not to suffer any losses. The eldest brother-in-law’s family has a lot of brothers too." Xu Mumu smiled lightly, thinking how having plenty of brothers in the family was a good thing.
"Just those cowards from Old Tian Family; I’d only need to take a stick to scare them silly." Xu Hai boasted proudly.
"You’re the toughest, no wonder I fancied you at first sight."
Xu Mumu twitched at the corner of her mouth, thinking her mom was still showing off their affection at a ti like this.
"Alright, tomorrow you brothers go over to Old Tian Family for a look. Tian Zhuang is really out of order." Old Xu nodded in agreent, noting the major differences between the elder and younger sons-in-law.
"I’ll go too." Xu Minghui’s eyes lit up; how could he miss out on such a lively event?
"Go ahead." Madam Chen nodded.
Xu Mumu didn’t say much, if her brother went, even if their dad couldn’t win the fight, Xu Minghui would be able to keep a better watch. In her mory, this brother was always good at fighting in the village, though she’d never seen Xu Minghui actually fight.
His sister didn’t stop him, so Xu Minghui was thrilled. Studying was genuinely painful.
Nowadays, he was also learning English with Xu Mumu, even though he was nearly twenty and learning a new language from scratch was quite difficult, making it a hard task for him.
However, the first year they restored the college entrance examination, English wasn’t tested, except for those extra tests for the English major.
Xu Mumu understood how important English would beco, which was why she pushed Xu Minghui to learn it.
These things, Xu Mumu would naturally not tell Xu Minghui; if she told him, he definitely wouldn’t want to learn.
Xu Minghui could only take one more day off, so letting him rest tomorrow didn’t seem like a big deal.
After taking a bath and returning to her room, Xu Mumu looked at the books in her room. The small cabinet was almost full, she figured it was ti to get another box, and in a few days, she’d ask Xu Hai to make one.

"Go yourself." Xu Minghui gave Xu Minglei a kick in the backside. The little brat was getting bolder, daring to order him around now.
"Hmph, I’ll go, I’ll go." After being kicked by his brother, Xu Minglei sobered up imdiately, thankful that his brother didn’t really punish him.
The little rascal quickly got up to scoop so hot water, and on the side, brought a basin over to Xu Mumu as well.
"Sister, are you hot? Putting so cool water in the room will definitely make it cooler."
"Alright, thanks, little brother. You should go to sleep now." Xu Mumu said with a smile, her heart feeling warm. How could her little brother be so well-behaved? It must be because of her good teaching.
"Got it, sister."
These past few days had been sowhat stiflingly hot, perhaps it was going to rain soon. Xu Mumu looked outside at the sky shrouded in dark clouds, unable to see the moon or stars.
That night, Xu Mumu didn’t sleep well, with the heat making the fan useless.
When they woke up the next day, the weather was even more sultry.
The sky was overcast, looking like it wouldn’t be long before it rained.
After breakfast, Xu Hai took his brothers and son along to the Old Tian Family.
The Old Tian Family was still trying to find ways to get through the tough tis; over two hundred yuan was definitely not a trivial amount.

"In-law elder brother, what brings you all here?" Xu Chuni’s mother-in-law ca out with her two daughters-in-law, seeing Xu Hai and the others looking so aggressive, she felt her heart tremble.
She knew Xu Hai to be the most unreasonable and unruly.
"Of course, we’re here to see my sister’s husband. The eldest sister didn’t return together with him, and my dad is worried, so he asked us brothers to co over and take a look." Xu Hai said calmly, tapping the stone in front with the stick, the threat was obvious.
"The third, the third has gone to the town, he’s busy." Tian Family’s wife shrank back, having already guessed what Xu Hai and his brothers were planning.
Glancing at Xu Chuni, Tian Family’s wife vented her anger on Xu Chuni, certain she had said sothing to her maiden family, making Old Xu Family bring people over to cause trouble.
"He went to town, did he? No worries, we can wait. Dear mother-in-law, that chicken in your yard looks nice, how about we have it for lunch today?" Xu Hai said with a smile, eying the chicken in the yard which seed to be a good layer, one Tian Family’s wife wouldn’t willingly eat.
Since she wasn’t willing to call her son out, they could very well target the Tian family mbers instead; he’d watch them grieve for sure.
