Xu Mumu took Xu Jiaojiao’s English composition and started to read it carefully. She didn’t have high expectations for their first attempt at writing in English.

Looking at Xu Jiaojiao’s composition, she noticed that most of the main points were covered, but there were quite a few problems with sentence construction and so parts were unclear.

After reading Xu Jiaojiao’s work, Xu Mumu also checked the others’, like Xu Minglei’s, and found even bigger issues.

She laid the compositions in front of her and just skimd through them without making corrections. Then, she began explaining to them how to write an English composition and what to pay attention to.

After finishing her explanations, Xu Mumu returned their writings to them, asking them to revise it themselves.

After correcting a few children’s assignnts, she went on to Xu Minghui’s. Xu Mumu looked at his work, made a few changes, but still felt at a loss about so parts.

Xu Mumu was a bit frustrated; the drill and practice thod seed necessary. When Xu Minghui was leaving, she planned to give him a stack of papers to take along. His weak foundation turned out to be quite troubling.

After teaching Xu Minghui, it was almost noon, and the kids were still revising their howork. Xu Mumu went straight to cook lunch with Xu Minghui.

There wasn’t much in the kitchen—so sweet potatoes, a small piece of pumpkin, and so wild vegetables. The shepherd’s purse she brought in yesterday was still there. With barely any rice outside, she could only cook porridge with sweet potatoes.

With Xu Minghui’s help, Xu Mumu swiftly prepared the al.

Soon, Madam Chen and Li Caixia returned. They ca back to cook but hadn’t expected that Xu Mumu had already done it.

"Girl, didn’t we say we’d cook? What if your hands get rough?" Madam Chen looked at Xu Mumu kindly.

"Grandma, it’s no problem. I’ll need to cook in the future anyway; can’t always wait for others to serve ." Xu Mumu said helplessly.

"You’re going to the city to enjoy life, not to cook for others." Li Caixia said matter-of-factly.

"Mom," Xu Mumu sighed, feeling that her mother was oblivious to their situation. How could she marry into a city family with their current conditions? Even if she did, she’d likely be looked down on.

Though Xu Mumu’s cooking skills weren’t great and she didn’t cook often, her family praised her endlessly despite the food being average.

Xu Mumu wondered how thick her family’s filter was when it ca to her, but she still felt quite happy.

After lunch, just as Xu Mumu was about to rest, Yin Yang showed up.

"Mumu, I fried extra tea leaves this ti; you can drink freely, and there’s more at my place when you finish." Yin Yang looked eagerly at Xu Mumu.

"Then I won’t be polite." Xu Mumu nodded, smiling. The tea leaves seed to be two or three jin; yesterday, their own picking couldn’t fry out more than a jin-related amount. Did this guy pick more yesterday afternoon?

"Mumu, do you still have your notes? I want to borrow them to read." Yin Yang’s excitent was palpable as Xu Mumu didn’t refuse.

"Sure, wait a mont. I’ll get them for you." Xu Mumu agreed.

She brought out all the notes she had organized, saying, "Here they are; I’m lending them to you. Please don’t damage them; I need them for other things." Xu Mumu said with a smile.

"I’ll take good care of your notes," Yin Yang nodded, surprised she brought out so many.

"It’s not free; help find errors in them," Xu Mumu asked, feeling a bit embarrassed. Since she wrote them herself, finding mistakes was quite difficult.

"No problem," Yin Yang nodded.

"Thank you," Xu Mumu said with an even sweeter smile, suddenly feeling Yin Yang wasn’t bad. He could handle anything and knew a lot, making tasks easy.

Smitten by Xu Mumu, Yin Yang carried her organized notes back to the commune point. There, Huo Qingze and the others were preparing to rest after lunch.

"Why did you bring back so many notes again?" Huo Qingze smiled at Yin Yang. He enthusiastically delivered fried tea, and borrowed lots of notes, despite having collected plenty of materials himself.

"These are specially organized by Mumu; it’s more convenient than reading the reference books." Yin Yang’s face showed a gentle smile, clearly delighted with the notes.

"You’re already calling her Mumu, nice progress," Huo Qingze teased Yin Yang.

"Indeed," Yin Yang nodded proudly, feeling it was a historic advancent.

"You’re hopeless," Huo Qingze’s expression turned; he once thought this guy was cunning, only to find he was love-struck, dropping Yin Yang’s impression in his mind by a notch.

Yin Yang ignored Huo Qingze, took the notes to his room, feeling content knowing Mumu’s goodness himself, not bothering to share.

Having handed a major task to Yin Yang, Xu Mumu felt relaxed.

"Big Sis, Yin Zhiqing gave you stuff again," Xu Jiaojiao said playfully, seeing the items Xu Mumu carried back. Lately, Yin Yang frequented, borrowing notes or buying grains, always bringing her sothing, either food or supplies.

"Tea leaves, you all don’t like drinking," Xu Mumu replied calmly.

"Sis, what else did Yin Zhiqing send you?" Xu Minghui squinted slightly. He missed confronting that guy last ti, only to find him growing bolder.

"I know, I know! He gave Big Sis delicious cookies, so peach cakes, and notebooks," Xu Minglei piped up, not believing for a second that the younger ones couldn’t see Yin Zhiqing definitely wanted to steal his sister.

"Didn’t you all eat them?" Xu Mumu found it amusing that Yin Yang’s intentions were so evident even the kids noticed.

"Yes, so tasty," Xu Jiaojiao recalled the cookie and peach cake flavors, feeling tempted again.

"Sis, what are your thoughts? That guy’s been on this spree; what’s your plan?" Yin Yang raised an eyebrow, hoping she’s like before when she kept Zhao Qing on standby; letting him go now would be great.

Just thinking of Yin Yang’s face, even in the county seat, he never saw anyone matching him, except perhaps Huo Qingze.

"Let’s see," Xu Mumu replied calmly, placing the tea leaves in a glass jar in the living room to store it away. Kept outside, they’d spoil.

"Sis, being a Zhiqing isn’t the best choice," Xu Minghui felt concerned.

"I know, not everyone is irresponsible," Xu Mumu smiled. She was rely giving Yin Yang a chance, not necessarily set on being together. What flimsy plans her brother had, thinking so far ahead, besides breaking up is possible, marriage and divorce are options too.
