When Xu Hai and the others ca back, Xu Hai was very proud. He was naturally happy to get so many beans for free.
"Daughter, you’re back from work." Seeing Xu Mumu, Xu Hai beca even more excited.
"Yeah, Dad’s having a good day today." Xu Mumu said with a smile.
"It’s alright, daughter. How was work today? Tired or not?" Xu Hai asked happily.
"It was alright, not much different from school, not really tiring." Xu Mumu smiled.
Over here, Madam Chen was already washing the beans, preparing to soak them and make tofu blossoms to eat tomorrow.
"Grandma, can these beans sprout into bean sprouts?" Xu Mumu asked, looking at a few bugs floating up, giving her goosebumps.
"Most of them can. Mumu, do you want to eat bean sprouts?" Madam Chen asked with a smile.
"Yeah, I don’t really want tofu blossoms right now. Let’s use these beans to grow bean sprouts." Xu Mumu looked expectantly at Madam Chen, worried that a few bugs might get ground into the soybeans.
"Alright, I’ll sort through these beans in a bit." Madam Chen pampered Xu Mumu, and now that life was a bit better, she was willing to spoil Xu Mumu a little more if it ant having what she wanted to eat.
Without needing to eat tofu, Xu Mumu was relieved. Bean sprouts are great; you can stir-fry them, mix them, lots of beans can make quite a few bean sprouts.
The next day, when going to work, Xu Mumu was fairly early. She quickly tidied up the office. As a newcor, she naturally needed to be a bit more diligent to leave a good impression on Qin Jie, even though Qin Jie already had a good impression of her.
"Mrs. Qin, what work do I have today?" Xu Mumu asked, looking at Qin Jie with anticipation.
"I have a eting tomorrow. This is the content of the eting; help write a script." Qin Jie handed the docunts she was holding to Xu Mumu, wanting to see her scriptwriting ability.
"Alright." Xu Mumu nodded, taking the docunts from Qin Jie.
Qin Jie was going to a eting in the county. Xu Mumu looked at the docunts, having written many articles, she easily found the core points and quickly started writing. Writing these things wasn’t difficult.
After finishing, she revised it several tis; once it seed about right, Xu Mumu brought the script over to Qin Jie.
"Mrs. Qin, I’ve never written this kind of script before. Do you think this is suitable?" Xu Mumu handed the script to Qin Jie.
Qin Jie took it and looked over it. At first glance, the handwriting was neat, looking pretty good. Then she looked at the content, with everything necessary included, neat and concise, making Qin Jie’s eyes light up. Xu Mumu was much better than the previous secretaries she’d hired.
While Qin Jie was looking at Xu Mumu’s script, Chen ili and the others watched cautiously from the side. The previous secretaries Qin Jie had hired often had her lose her temper several tis, leading to quite a few secretaries leaving in tears.
It’s been about two minutes and she hasn’t lost her temper. This little newcor seems to have so skills.
"Not bad, not bad. Mumu, you’ve really surprised . We’ll use this script, and you’ll accompany to the eting tomorrow." Qin Jie said happily, looking at Xu Mumu with great satisfaction.
"As long as it’s usable, I’m prepared to revise it several tis." Xu Mumu said modestly, the scripts she wrote were modeled after templates from the future.
"No need to revise, no need to revise. This is written so well, even better than what I usually write. If I’d known you were this capable, I would have hired you much sooner." Qin Jie said happily.
Qin Jie’s words made the others in the office extrely envious. They thought she might not last long, even with her good relationship with Qin Jie, who had high work standards. Yet, this young girl easily completed the task assigned by Qin Jie.
Feeling the envious glances around her, Xu Mumu thought there wasn’t really much to be envious about. What was wrong with these people?
Not bothering to care what others thought, Xu Mumu finished her work. Qin Jie didn’t imdiately assign her more tasks but gave her so factory materials to look at so she could understand the work better and get up to speed quickly.
Qin Jie took the script written by Xu Mumu and left the office.
"Xu Mumu, how did you write it so that Director Qin was so satisfied?" Chen ili asked curiously, looking at Xu Mumu. This little girl didn’t look that old but seed quite capable.
"I used to submit so articles, so I have a bit of a knack for writing." Xu Mumu smiled lightly. This kind of experience she couldn’t just share with Chen ili. Plus, they’d only known each other for two days, not that familiar, right?
"Wow, you’ve submitted articles? Which newspapers? Our place gets all the newspapers within the provincial capital." Chen ili asked in amazent, looking at Xu Mumu.
"Mostly essays for essay books." Xu Mumu chuckled softly, not saying more. She did have two pieces on newspapers, but the paynt for those wasn’t as high as for those essay books, so she didn’t submit much to newspapers.
"You’re really impressive, no wonder Director Qin wants you as her secretary." Chen ili said with great envy. She had thought of becoming Qin Jie’s secretary when she first arrived, but after seeing how many secretaries Qin Jie had gone through in two years, the idea faded. She couldn’t handle Qin Jie’s temper.
"Chen, do you all live in the dormitory?" Xu Mumu asked, looking at Chen ili and the others.
"I’m the only one living in the dormitory. Sister Fang and others have been assigned houses, so naturally, they live at ho." Before Xu Mumu arrived, she was the least senior one in the office, so no chance of getting a house allocation.
"How are the dormitories?" Xu Mumu asked, considering the dormitory situation. After lunch every day, she couldn’t just nap at her desk. She preferred to sleep in a bed.
"The dormitories are just alright, with iron bunk beds. Our room has about ten people, not sure about the availability in other rooms." Chen ili answered honestly, giving Xu Mumu a straight description of the factory dormitory situation.
Thinking about a dorm room with ten people, Xu Mumu reconsidered. That’s too many people, so forget about it. She decided not to stay in the dorm. Once grandma had so ti, she’d ask her to sew a cushion, and she could nap in the office.
"Xu Mumu, if you want to stay in the dormitory, Director Qin will surely arrange a good one for you." Chen ili comnted. Xu Mumu had a good relationship with Director Qin’s son, and Director Qin liked her a lot, so any dorm she was given wouldn’t be bad.
The factory also had single rooms, but who knows if any were vacant.
"Never mind, my ho isn’t far. I’d rather stay at ho." Xu Mumu quickly made her decision. She didn’t want to squeeze into a room with so many people. Walking ho and back every day would be good exercise.
