Xu Mumu nodded, and then went to the library the sa day to borrow two of the books that Professor Song had ntioned.

Seeing Xu Mumu busy again, Yin Yang was extrely aggrieved.

However, he also had lots of things to do. Even though he had sent Yin Xu away, that guy kept his mouth shut, not revealing much useful information.

Although he suspected there was a connection to the Yun Family, he couldn’t find much.

On this day, when Xu Mumu and Yin Yang were about to head back, they ran into Huo Qingze.

"It’s been so long since we last t, do you want to have a al together?" Huo Qingze asked with a light laugh, looking at the two of them.

"Nowhere outside is as good as ho. If you don’t mind, you can co eat at the place we’re staying," Xu Mumu said with a smile.

"Sure, I don’t even know where you’re staying, I’ll take a look." Huo Qingze nodded.

Looking at the house in front of him, Huo Qingze felt a sense of nostalgia, "You guys really know how to enjoy life." The rosebuds in the yard had already started to grow.

"It’s alright, where are you staying? I heard Young Master Huo moved out of the Huo Family," Yin Yang said with a smile, pouring Huo Qingze a cup of tea.

"I did move out; I’m living in a dormitory," Huo Qingze said with a faint smile. The people in the dorm were pretty good, much better than living with the Huo Family, to which he had grown accustod.

"You didn’t just co here for a al today, did you?" Yin Yang looked at Huo Qingze, confident that he had co for more than just dinner.

"As expected, it’s you. Yeah, there’s sothing I want your help with," Huo Qingze shrugged and said with a smile. After living together for two years, he understood Yin Yang, and Yin Yang understood him too.

"What’s up? If it involves certain things, I won’t help you," Yin Yang raised an eyebrow.

"I just want to use your hand to check on the Liu Family. My people on the Liu side are all accounted for, so it’s a bit inconvenient for ," Huo Qingze said calmly. He found the matter with Liu Shuyuan to be quite complicated, and wanted to investigate thoroughly.

"The Liu Family is in the bureaucratic system," Yin Yang said aningfully to Huo Qingze. In the Imperial City, the Liu Family was a dium-sized family. Over the years, they’d climbed quite high, leveraging the influence of Huo Dongzhen and their own strategies.

"During this period, I’ll give them so trouble and cooperate with your people for the investigation," Huo Qingze said seriously.

"Alright," Yin Yang agreed.

"You agreed so readily, it’s kind of unsettling," Huo Qingze looked at Yin Yang.

"Shall I set two conditions then?" Yin Yang rolled his eyes, finding his friend quite annoying.

"Okay, okay, just kidding," Huo Qingze laughed and said.

With Yin Yang, they were quite good friends. Although their relationship was mostly based on mutual benefits, they got along well.

"I can’t believe you can crack a joke," Yin Yang curiously looked at Huo Qingze. In the past, Huo Qingze seldom laughed much, often having a bit of an aloof nature. Did he beco more cheerful since going to college?

In reality, after resolving the situation with Liu Shuyuan and her family, Huo Qingze had been in a good mood.

The dishes Mrs. Liu made tasted excellent, and even Huo Qingze comnted on them, seeing Xu Mumu and others enjoying themselves so much, he had half a mind to drop by more often for als.

Amid Xu Mumu’s busyness, she received a letter from her family, learning about her cousin’s wedding and that her mother had joined a won’s organization.

Holding the letter, Xu Mumu had a faint smile on her face.

"Mumu, I might have to leave for a while," Yin Yang looked at Xu Mumu with reluctance.

"Where are you going?" Xu Mumu asked in surprise.

"To Lan City, to deal with so matters at the Yin Family’s old residence, probably for more than half a month," Yin Yang said.

"Is sothing wrong?" Xu Mumu felt a bit worried, with a growing sense of foreboding in her heart.

"There’s a traitor in the family; I’m going to take care of that. Don’t worry." Yin Yang said gently.

"There won’t be any danger, right?" Xu Mumu couldn’t help but worry. Since Yin Yang had shared his experiences growing up, Xu Mumu knew that the circles Yin Yang operated in were not safe, and venturing into it might expose her to those risks too.

"There’s no danger; don’t worry," Yin Yang reassured her warmly.

After comforting Xu Mumu, Yin Yang went back to his room, a fierce light flashing in his eyes. Those he trusted had betrayed him; Yin Xu sure did a good job.

He was taken away when they attempted to send him abroad.

He didn’t tell Xu Mumu about these things because he didn’t want her to live in danger. It was for him to handle.

Back at Lan City, while the Yin Family had moved away, so mbers remained there because the family’s roots were in that place.

Early the next morning, Yin Yang boarded the train and left. After his departure, Xu Mumu felt a bit out of place. This guy had always spent ti with her whenever he was free. Even reading a book felt different without his presence.

Xu Mumu felt a bit helpless; this guy was really dedicated to keeping her tied.

After organizing her books, she had no classes for the next two sessions, so Xu Mumu packed up her things and headed to the library.

The library was quiet. Xu Mumu chose a spot by the window, returned the books she had finished reading from earlier days, and then settled down to read quietly.

"Is anyone sitting here, fellow student?" a gentle female voice rang out in front of Xu Mumu.

Xu Mumu rubbed her brow, "No one’s sitting here, sit wherever you like," she said softly. She had been staring at the book, and the knowledge was rather dry, like forcefully cramming it into her head, making her a bit agitated.

Moreover, after staring at the book for so long, she felt like she was almost becoming nearsighted.

"Thank you, I’m Yun Luo from the Foreign Languages Departnt. What’s your na? Wanna be friends?" Yun Luo asked, her smile unchanged, as she sized up the studious girl before her.

"Physics Departnt, Xu Mumu, nice to et you," Xu Mumu looked up, curiously at the girl in front of her.

The girl before her was exquisite and pretty. In all her ti here, it was the first ti Xu Mumu had seen such a beautiful girl—petite and delicate, with exquisite features that stirred tenderness. That was Xu Mumu’s first impression of Yun Luo.

However, the girl before her seed to know her, purposely seeking her out?

"Xu Mumu, what made you decide to study Physics? I heard there aren’t many won in the Physics Departnt," Yun Luo asked curiously.

"Just personal interest," Xu Mumu said lightly, planning to take a break to relax her eyes as she didn’t like wearing glasses.

"Is studying Physics fun? What do you learn?"

Yun Luo was especially outgoing. Though Xu Mumu was a bit suspicious, she remained unfazed, speaking with Yun Luo. She wanted to see what this girl’s true intentions were and why she approached her.
