After breakfast, Xu Mumu took her younger brothers downstairs, where the fighting had stopped, but the arguing was still quite intense.
The Bai Family wanted the Xiang Family to compensate them, but the Xiang Family was unwilling, and the two families were in a dispute.

She had seen worse starvation during the apocalypse, even instances of parents eating their own children.
"I understand." After a mont of silence, Xu Minglei replied in a low voice.
"Let’s go over there." Xu Mumu took Xu Minglei’s hand and led the two children to a less crowded area.
"Minglei, today I want to teach you a word: ’act within one’s capability.’ Even his own mother doesn’t find him pitiful, so don’t worry about this matter. Moreover, you don’t have the capability to help him; do you want mom and dad to help them?" Xu Mumu said gently.

Xu Mumu explained gently to her brother.
She had spent considerable thought on her brother and naturally hoped he would have a better life in the future, not just an ordinary one or an end like those in the books.
"Is that really true?" Xu Minglei looked at his sister. Thinking about it, it seed true; his sister knew more than he did, and what she said must be right.
"Of course. Why else do I always ask you to study hard? Naturally, I hope you will be soone useful to society in the future." Xu Mumu said with a smile. She wasn’t sure if her plan for her brother was correct, but at least this way, he would have more choices in the future. He wouldn’t just be an ordinary farr back ho or beco a small delinquent.
"I understand." Xu Minglei nodded seriously. He understood his sister’s intention. Even if he wanted to help Bai Zhuangzhuang now, he was using family resources, dad and mom’s resources, to aid Bai Zhuangzhuang.
