The dinner that evening, Xu Mumu had a bit of speechlessness; sure enough, the food was even harder to eat.
"All of you, what are you staring at? Eat up, I’ve cooked for quite a while now." Li Caixia glared at her husband and three children.
"Mom, what you made is so hard to eat." Little Xu Minglei, having no fear, directly stabbed a knife into his mother’s heart with his words.
"Little brat, having sothing to eat is already good enough, and you’re still complaining. Are you itching for trouble?" Li Caixia slamd her chopsticks onto the table, glaring at her youngest son.
"I’ll cook tomorrow’s lunch, Mom’s already working hard enough with all the household chores." Xu Mumu said with a smile, watching her younger brother courting death; to avoid a spanking, Xu Mumu changed the subject.
"No way, we’ll do it; what if your hands get rough? Your hands are ant for holding a pen." Li Caixia rejected outright.
"Yes, Mumu, focus on your studies; we will handle the household matters." Madam Chen spoke gently.
Xu Mumu felt a bit helpless; everyone at ho practically wanted to hold her up on a pedestal.
Despite the dinner’s taste not being great, Xu Mumu ate quite happily.
Early the next day, Tiedan ca over, and Xu Mumu took a few kids to train. The smaller ones seed to have gotten used to being trained like this by her; they didn’t look as frail as before, even Xu Jiaojiao looked healthier.
"Sis, sis, I’m faster than Tiedan." Xu Minglei looked at his sister, seeking praise.
"Mhm, little brother is the best." Xu Mumu smiled and said. Among the kids, Xu Minglei was the best physically, which was related to him never lacking nutrition.
"Jiaojiao, get up and walk a few laps, don’t just sit there, have you forgotten what I taught you before?" Xu Mumu pulled Xu Jiaojiao up.
"Big sis, I’m so tired." Xu Jiaojiao, holding onto Xu Mumu’s hand, struggled to stand up, lacking strength.
Seeing that Xu Jiaojiao indeed couldn’t walk, Xu Mumu took her for two laps.
Today, she only slightly increased the running by two laps; this little girl was still a bit too frail. Mainly, she was lacking nutrition, which wasn’t sothing that could be helped.
"Sis, I’m so hungry." Xu Minglei clinging to Xu Mumu’s arm, said coquettishly.
"We’ll eat as soon as we get back." Xu Mumu patted the little guy’s head; such exercise was still quite demanding on physical strength.
When they returned ho, Li Caixia had already prepared breakfast, still sweet potato porridge. She was more willing to add rice than Madam Chen, so there was more rice and less sweet potato.
"Minglei, are you full? You’re still growing, eat more." Old Xu looked lovingly at his grandson.
"He’s already eaten two bowls; how could he not be full yet?" Xu Minghui curled his lips. This little brat, ever since following Xu Mumu for running training, had been eating more and more.
"Brother is just jealous of how much I eat. Sis said I’ve grown taller." Xu Minglei said proudly.
Xu Mumu helplessly smiled. After breakfast, there was work in the fields to be done. The Old Xu Family started moving; now that the families were divided, even points had to be separately recorded.
At ho, only Xu Mumu and Xu Minglei were left; Xu Jiaojiao and the others also ca over to play.
"Big sis, let’s go out and play today." Xu Mumu didn’t give them extra lessons today; they had been studying during this period, so a bit of play was necessary.
"Where do you want to go to play?" Xu Mumu asked.
"Sis, let’s go hunt wild chickens." Xu Minglei’s eyes lit up.
"Let’s go, bring the slingshot and sickle." Xu Mumu thought for a mont and agreed. It had been a long ti since she wandered around the mountain; it was ti to improve the family’s als.
"I’ll go get them." Xu Minglei quickly dashed toward the storeroom to find the sickle.
Although it was said to be fair during the division, the wealth assigned to the main house was still relatively more. Items like sickles, iron pots, and tables were allocated to the main house.
Precisely because of this, even though Li Caixia wasn’t very satisfied with the division, she didn’t say much. After all, these things were important assets.
Taking several little rascals, they headed up the mountain. Spring was nearing its end, and the weather was gradually warming up.
"Jiaojiao, can you keep up?" Xu Mumu looked at Xu Jiaojiao, who was walking slowly.
"No problem, big sis, I can keep up." Xu Jiaojiao said seriously. Though she had recovered a bit from the long run this morning, her legs were still a bit shaky and sore.
"If you can’t hold on, we’ll take a break." Xu Mumu said gently.
"Not tired." The little girl declared firmly.
Arriving at the spot where they used to pick up firewood, they searched around the trap; there was nothing inside. Xu Mumu wasn’t too disappointed.
"Big sis, there’s nothing, has soone taken it?" Little Xu Minglei was a bit frustrated.
"It’s okay, we don’t rely on this trap to live; later, I’ll help you guys catch birds." Xu Mumu pinched the little guy’s cheek; how adorable he was.
"Big sis, teach how to catch birds too." Xu Tao looked at Xu Mumu eagerly. A few days ago, his dad had also made him a slingshot, which he brought out today.
"Sure." Xu Mumu said with a smile.
The kids picked up quite a bit of firewood, and Xu Mumu sorted them out. Suddenly, her ears perked up.
"Minglei, Tiedan, Jiaojiao, Little Tao, don’t co down." Xu Mumu beca serious.
"Big sis, what’s wrong?" Xu Jiaojiao asked confusedly.
"There’s movent, don’t speak." Xu Mumu held the sickle in her hand, her whole body tensed.
After a while, a wild boar ran out from the bushes. Xu Mumu widened her eyes and got excited; a wild boar ant an improvent in their lifestyle.
Xu Mumu tightly gripped the sickle in her hand; the wild boar charged straight toward her, its massive tusks seeming to gleam in the sunlight.
"Sis, run!" Xu Minglei was terrified, nearly jumping down from the tree to help his sister.
"Stay put in the tree; this wild boar can’t do anything to ." Xu Mumu’s speed was incredibly fast, dodging the boar’s tusks; they crashed into a stone behind Xu Mumu, rolling several tis.
As she dodged, Xu Mumu swung the sickle directly at the boar’s neck.
The boar’s skin was thick and tough, and the sickle was a bit blunt, only causing it minor injuries.
However, Xu Mumu’s attack completely angered the boar, which charged at her, Xu Mumu’s speed increased. Her superpower-enhanced strength, coupled with her recent training, significantly boosted her speed.
