Back at ho, Madam Chun was still around, but Yin Yang had left, and Xu Mumu felt all sorts of uneasy, like the whole house was empty.
Looking at the little guy who still knew nothing, holding a small stuffed bull in his hand—sothing she had made for him. It’s not easy to break and not easy for others to notice how strong he is.
Staying at ho was really boring, so Xu Mumu decided to take her son out. She hadn’t seen her parents in a while and thought it’d be good to visit them.
The little guy no longer liked sitting in the stroller, so Xu Mumu simply carried him out. His weight was nothing to her.
Arriving at the small shop, Xu Hai and their business were doing quite well. Even though it was school hours, business was still booming.
"Mumu, why are you here? Oh, my grandson, co let Grandma hold you," Li Caixia exclaid as she dropped her tasks for Xu Hai to handle when she saw her daughter arrive.
Xu Mumu handed over the little guy in her arms to her mother. The little one recognized his grandma and wore a bright smile while being held by her.
"Yin Yang has to leave for a while, and I’m bored at ho, so I took Doudou out for a walk," Xu Mumu said with a smile. Now she was taking care of the child alone, and had to pause her work at the lab for a while.
"Yin Yang left? Where did he go?" Li Caixia paused while holding her eldest grandson, asking in confusion.
Xu Mumu briefly explained what Yin Yang had to do; this trip would take at least a month or two. She was aware of the Yin Family’s business, and inspecting all those places would be a huge undertaking.
Xu Mumu really missed modern conveniences like phones and computers, where everything could be handled online. Even if sothing ca up, a video eting would suffice, avoiding all the hassle.
When Yin Yang cos back, she must push for bringing out phones and computers to streamline things. She didn’t want him spending so much ti away every year.
"So many things to do?" Li Caixia was a bit confused, not understanding much, but she knew Yin Yang was busy.
"Yes." Xu Mumu sighed.
"He’s gone for such a long ti, and you’re okay with that? Why not go with him?" Li Caixia looked at her daughter in frustration, worried that with her son-in-law’s great qualities, he might get seduced outside. She couldn’t understand why her daughter seed so indifferent.
"Doudou is still so young. What if he gets sick while we’re away? It’s better to wait a couple of years," Xu Mumu shook her head. She did want to go have fun too.
"Are you dumb? We’re all here. We can help take care of Doudou without a problem," Li Caixia poked her daughter’s forehead. Now that her daughter lived a bit further away and the family was busy, she rarely had the ti to visit her.
"No, Mom, you’re busy too. I don’t want to trouble you," Xu Mumu smiled wryly. She understood her mother’s intentions, but she trusted Yin Yang. If he were truly unfaithful, it wouldn’t end well for him.
"We’re family; don’t talk about trouble," Li Caixia glared at Xu Mumu.
"Yes, yes, my fault." Xu Mumu quickly admitted her mistake.
"You’re usually so sharp; he’s gone so long, and you’re not even watching him. What if so shaless woman cos along..." Li Caixia sighed, worriedly holding her grandson.
"Nothing to worry about. He wouldn’t dare," Xu Mumu smiled helplessly. Her mother seed to have watched a lot of TV dramas lately.
Li Caixia rolled her eyes, wondering how her son-in-law brainwashed her daughter into trusting him so much.
"Fine, I won’t talk to you anymore." Li Caixia decided to drop the subject, feeling defeated.
"Mom, okay, I get what you’re saying. Yin Yang and I have been married long enough to know each other well. If I didn’t trust him, how could our relationship be harmonious?" Xu Mumu smiled, gently patting her mother’s hand. She knew her mother ant well, and she was happy for it, but she now also had a husband and son alongside her parents and siblings.
"Alright, as long as you’re aware. If he ever wrongs you, your dad and brother will break his legs," Li Caixia said fiercely.
"I know that, Mom. No one can bully ," Xu Mumu said as she held her mother’s hand, smiling. She felt imnsely grateful for having such family in her life.
"What are you two talking about over there? Hand Doudou to ," Xu Hai had finished his work. Seeing Doudou, he wanted to hold him. Ever since their daughter moved away, it took days to see their grandson.
Lately, Xu Mumu’s been busy, and Yin Yang moved his office back to the lab, so they hadn’t seen their eldest grandson for almost half a month and missed him dearly.
With her parents helping to watch the child, Xu Mumu got a better understanding of her family’s situation. Recently, her brother and sister-in-law were busy; they opened three large supermarket branches, working from early morning till late dinner, sotis missing dinner altogether.
"Isn’t my brother taking on too much at once?" Xu Mumu comnted wryly. Even if they were young and should work hard, she worried it might exhaust them.
"I told your brother he’s taking on too much, but he wouldn’t listen and just plowed ahead. What if one misstep causes a loss?" Xu Hai complained about his son, worried that he might end up losing what they earned.
"Dad, don’t say that. My brother must have his plans. Don’t worry, he’s not reckless," Xu Mumu reassured, thinking Xu Minghui might be trying to earn more money.
She rembered he seed interested in a house near her and Yin Yang’s place. The house was big but expensive; their family’s current finances couldn’t afford it.
Xu Mumu shared her thoughts with her parents. The Xu Family was large, with two younger brothers to care for and elderly to support. In the future, they’d need more space for a growing family, so moving to a bigger house made sense.
"Daughter, how much does that house cost?" Li Caixia swallowed hard. Having visited her daughter’s place several tis, she knew how nice the house was but had never dread of it. She didn’t expect her son to have such ambitious goals.
