The carp hadn’t even died yet when Xu Mumu took a wooden basin, added so water, and tossed the fish in.
By the ti Xu Minglei had finished bathing and changed into clean clothes, Xu Minghui had already pretty much inflated the sheep. Even though manual inflation couldn’t match an air pump, they didn’t have ti to worry about that now.
Xu Mumu took a sharp knife out of the kitchen, made an incision, and quickly cut open the skin.
The knives at ho were all sharpened fast by my diligent grandma, and given that Xu Mumu was strong, she peeled off the skin in no ti.
Xu Minghui respected his sister for her strength; her future husband surely wouldn’t dare provoke her.
He silently offered his sympathy to the future brother-in-law for two seconds, then Xu Minghui busied himself, mainly because Xu Mumu was ordering him around.
The sll of sheep offal was quite strong, and Xu Mumu couldn’t clean these items by the river, so she had to wash them at ho.
"Brother, go draw so water; the water tank is almost empty." Xu Mumu had just finished the first wash, using up all the water in the tank.
"Got it, got it." Xu Minghui replied weakly; after the family split up, he and Xu Hai were the ones fetching the water. A full tank could last an entire day.
There’s an old well beside the village drying ground, having been dug for many years, with its water being very clear and sweet. Families without wells at ho would carry buckets to draw water from this well.
During these tis, everyone was quite poor. From what Xu Mumu knew, the only family with a private well was the team leader’s family, whose conditions were only relatively better.
There wasn’t much sheep blood; it was partially dried when brought back, leaving just a small basin’s worth. However, there was enough offal to last two days.
As Xu Mumu was washing, Xu Xue and her sister returned, with both of them sowhat dirty, clearly having just co back from labor.
Xu Xue had to go to work, and although the job was relatively easy, these two sisters were always busy with sothing every day, but Xu Mumu didn’t mind.
Xu Xue looked at the stuff Xu Mumu was handling, and her eyes flashed slightly; she was increasingly unable to understand Xu Mumu.
The mutton had been cut into small pieces and placed in a large basin.
"What are you looking at? It won’t be given to you even if you stare at it." Seeing Xu Xue eyeing the at, Xu Minglei was very displeased and would have hit Xu Xue if his elder sister hadn’t forbidden it.
"I’m not interested anyway." Xu Xue pouted; the style of the main house was becoming increasingly odd. They hadn’t bothered the second house lately, making her feel a bit unaccustod.

When Tiedan ca over, Xu Mumu was still cleaning the offal; the stomach and intestines were very dirty, making it quite a hassle to clean.
Shortly after Tiedan arrived, Du Yu and Du Zhen ca over.
Du Zhen rode a bicycle, with Du Yu on the back seat, guiding the way quickly to Xu Mumu’s ho.
"Mr. Du." Xu Mumu greeted with a smile, washed her hands, and then dried them.
"Mumu, you are so industrious. Where are your parents?" Du Zhen said with a smile, having discussed briefly with the kitchen there, naturally wanting the mutton in Xu Mumu’s hand.
"Mr. Du, please have a seat for a while. Minglei, go call Grandpa back." Xu Mumu smiled and instructed her little brother to fetch Old Xu, as the grandparents were more reliable.
"Got it, Sis." Xu Minglei nodded and quickly ran outside.
The family had scales, which were assigned to the main house. These scales were carefully kept by Madam Chen and only brought out when needed. But once Grandpa returned, the scales would be available.
Soon, everyone in the family was back, leaving Xu Mumu sowhat helpless.
Next, Old Xu and the others negotiated with Du Zhen, with the final result certainly satisfying both parties.
Du Zhen gave so money, with the remainder paid in grain.
"Grandma, we should divide these up too. The weather is getting hotter, and they’ll spoil if left lying around." Xu Mumu pointed at the offal.
So mutton was also set aside; each family got a few pounds.
"Let’s divide it then." Madam Chen nodded. Although the offal isn’t the best, it’s better than eating wild vegetables.
The family wouldn’t lack at in the coming days, and Li Caixia had nothing more to say about Xu Mumu’s decisions.
Besides, there would be significant earnings this evening, giving Li Caixia a sense of confidence.

"Tiedan, where did you get this at?" Liu Cuixia asked excitedly; there were still a few small fish at ho, and she thought they’d enjoy a feast, but her son seed so capable to bring back a chunk of at, though it was only two or three pounds.
"Mumu gave it to , Mom. Don’t tell anyone, okay?" Tiedan said earnestly, aware his mother’s big mouth was well-known throughout the production team.
"So it’s from Mumu. I knew this girl would continue to succeed. Alas, it’s a sha we didn’t settle things early with Brother Shun." Liu Cuixia said regrettably.
Since her marriage, she had maintained a good relationship with Li Caixia, hearing much about Xu Mumu’s good fortune and wanting to betroth Xu Mumu to her family nephew, but Li Caixia never agreed.
"Mom, Brother Shun’s not good-looking, not fit for my sister." Tiedan rolled his eyes at Liu Cuixia.
"Alright, Cuihua, go prepare so pickled vegetables, and give them to Tiedan to take to Hai and the others." Zhao Jianshe said helplessly, knowing his wife’s thoughts well.
"Okay." Liu Cuixia replied briskly; the pickled vegetables are hardly comparable to the mutton from Xu Mumu.
Du Zhen left with only the at, leaving quite a bit of leftovers behind that was difficult to sort out.
The harder-to-handle parts with little at were simply given by Li Caixia to the second house.
