"I’m not going!" Zheng Sani planted her feet, refusing to move.

"You dare refuse!" Lin Lan stepped forward, grabbed her, and along with Yang Liying, dragged her toward the team’s pig farm.

A long trail of onlookers followed behind them.

Just as they arrived at the pig farm, they saw Sun Xiuhua carrying a bucket of pig feed toward the pigsty.

Lin Lan shouted, "Sun Xiuhua, stop right there."

Sun Xiuhua turned and saw Lin Lan, and a fire of rage flared up inside her. She dropped the feed bucket and charged forward with her hands raised. "You rotten bitch! You welsh on your debts and even dare to threaten people with a cleaver. If I don’t tear you to shreds, my surna isn’t Sun!"

"You’re right, your surna isn’t Sun. It should be Rotten. Your whole family is a bunch of rotten bitches." With her quick reflexes, Lin Lan yanked Zheng Sani in front of her as a shield.

"AHH—" Zheng Sani shrieked and covered her face. Sun Xiuhua quickly pulled back her hands, pushed Zheng Sani aside, and lunged at Lin Lan, trying to claw her. "I’ll scratch your face off, you howrecking fox!"

"With those upturned eyes and that foul mouth, you don’t have what it takes to be a howrecker!" Lin Lan grabbed her wrist, gave it a hard yank and a shove, and kicked her in the stomach. "You talk so much shit, I’ll rip that mouth of yours off!"

Zheng Sani tried to bolt, but a few won stepped forward and blocked her. "You’re not leaving until this is cleared up."

"Stop fighting! Stop fighting!" A few won from the Liu family shouted, wanting to step in and help their side.

Yang Liying and the won from the Yang family moved to block them. "If you make a move, so will we."

"Why bother! We’re all from the sa team." The won stopped awkwardly and went back to watching the fight.

"You slut—" Sun Xiuhua staggered back a few steps and fell on her butt. Then, with a howl, she scrambled back up and charged at Lin Lan again.

Lin Lan was ruthless and wasted no words. She sidestepped the charge, grabbed Sun Xiuhua’s braid, and yanked it hard, pulling her off balance. Then, she kicked her in the rear, sending Sun Xiuhua sprawling face-first into the dirt.

Lin Lan strode over, straddled her, and pinned her down with her legs. She then pinched the soft flesh on the inside of Sun Xiuhua’s thigh, channeling her inner Nanny Rong as she twisted hard a few tis.

She then reached out and pinched her mouth a few tis. "You old shrew, keep talking shit and I’ll tear your mouth to pieces!"

Sun Xiuhua struggled like a turtle flipped on its back, trying to reach behind and grab Lin Lan, screaming a stream of profanities, "AAAGH—! Slut! Ass-seller...!"

The more viciously she cursed, the harder Lin Lan pinched, deliberately targeting sensitive spots. Sun Xiuhua shrieked in pain.

Liu Guozhi strode over quickly. Seeing Lin Lan on top of Sun Xiuhua, he roared, "Stop that! This is outrageous!"

A few of the team’s squad leaders had also arrived, followed by a crowd of gawking villagers.

Lin Lan glanced at Liu Guozhi, then tightened her grip on Sun Xiuhua’s braid, remaining firmly seated on top of her like Mount Tai.

Hearing her backup had arrived, Sun Xiuhua lifted her head and reached back to grab Lin Lan. "You slut... I won’t let you get away with this."

*SMACK!* A crisp sound echoed as Lin Lan slapped her across the face. "You old shrew, you still dare to curse? I’ll beat that mouth of yours bloody!"

Since things had already turned ugly, Lin Lan had nothing left to lose.

That slap felt like it had landed on Liu Guozhi’s own face. His expression darkened as he pointed at Yang Liying. "You, get over there and pull her off."

Yang Liying curled her lip. "She’s been spouting baseless slander. She deserves to get her mouth torn off!"

Liu Guozhi glared. "What nonsense did she say?"

In just a few words, Yang Liying explained what had happened. "I didn’t add anything. Ask Zheng Sani, she heard it from Sun Xiuhua herself."

Liu Guozhi saw Zheng Sani standing there silently and knew in his heart that Yang Liying was telling the truth. He shouted to a few won, "You lot, co over here and pull Lin Lan off!"

The won glanced at him, then at Lin Lan, and shrank back. "..."

They wanted Lin Lan to hit her a few more tis to vent their own frustrations. Sun Xiuhua, relying on Liu Guozhi’s position as captain, always got the easiest jobs. Not only was she foul-mouthed, but she also loved to ddle in other people’s business. Everyone had been sick of her for a long ti.

The few from the Liu family wanted to go over, but they were blocked by Yang Liying and her group, unable to move.

Liu Guozhi stared at Lin Lan, his brow furrowed so tightly he could have crushed a mosquito. "You get down from there right now, or else..."

"Or else what!" Lin Lan cut him off coldly. "Captain Liu, are you going to make carry manure or stop from working altogether? Don’t forget, this is a new society now. You can’t just run the Lexing Team however you please."

Liu Guozhi was so angry he could only point at Lin Lan. "You... you have such a sharp tongue!"

Xu Chunyan ca running over. When she saw Sun Xiuhua on the ground, craning her neck like a big turtle, she almost burst out laughing.

Suppressing her laughter, she looked at Lin Lan and said gently, "Co down now. If there’s a problem, we can sit down and talk it over properly."

Lin Lan glanced at her, her eyes red-rimd, and said, "I wanted to talk things over, but you should ask Sun Xiuhua if she’s willing to do that! She’s out there spreading rumors... You’re all abusing your power for a personal vendetta. Let tell you, if we don’t clear this up today, this isn’t over."

Xu Chunyan said, "That’s not what’s happening. You’re overthinking things."

Lin Lan sneered. "Liu Jinbao just paid at the police station for kicking down my courtyard gate, and the mont he got out, he threatened in the alley, saying he was going to harm my Little Douzi."

"Captain Liu, I’m telling you right now: if my son grows up safe and sound, we can forget it. But if anything happens to him, I will fight your Liu family to the bitter end."

Liu Guozhi’s face was ashen. "Jinbao was just saying things in anger, and you took it seriously? Besides, what child doesn’t get a few bumps and bruises? Are you going to bla everything on Jinbao?"

Lin Lan nodded without hesitation. "That’s right! You’d better watch Liu Jinbao. Otherwise, if anything happens to my child, I’ll hold all of you responsible!"

Liu Guozhi was speechless with anger. "You’re being completely unreasonable!"

Lin Lan sneered. "Captain Liu, as the head of this team, you’re already capable of abusing your power for a personal grudge. What aren’t you capable of?"

Liu Guozhi was so furious he nearly fell over backward. He pointed at Lin Lan. "You’re just spouting nonsense..."

Lin Lan held her head high. "I speak with facts. The eyes of the masses are sharp as snow, and justice lives in the hearts of the people!"

Liu Guozhi glared. "..."

"Lin Lan," an old woman walked over. "Get up. Captain Liu is here, he will give you justice."

Lin Lan looked at her, and tears truly began to fall. "Auntie, you were there yesterday too, and they still dared to spread these rumors... Today I ca to work, and they used their power to make things difficult for . First, they said there was no spot for , then they told to go carry manure."

"The Lexing Team doesn’t belong to the Liu family! I want them to co with to the police station so we can all clear this up face-to-face and see whether his youngest uncle pulled strings for him."

The old woman looked at her. "Get up and talk!"

"Okay!" Lin Lan let go of Sun Xiuhua and stood up.

Sun Xiuhua scrambled up and saw that the entire team had gathered around. She let out a wail and shrieked, "Ass-selling whore..."

Liu Jianguo roared, "Shut your mouth!" ’That good-for-nothing screw-up,’ he thought. ’If she hadn’t gone out spreading rumors, that bitch Lin Lan would be carrying manure right now.’

"Hic... Hic..." Sun Xiuhua stared blankly, her upturned eyes wide with shock.

*Pfft*— A ripple of laughter spread through the crowd.

"WAAAH—" Sun Xiuhua had lived for over half her life and had never been so humiliated. Wishing the earth would swallow her whole, she covered her face and ran ho, wailing.

Xu Chunyan and a few other won chased after her.
