With a bitter expression, he said, "It's good that Minister Carter is okay."

He was about to turn and leave.

Dirk Carter said, "Minister Griffin, there's sothing I need your help with."

Randolph Griffin responded, "Minister Carter, you're the leader. Whatever you need to do, just instruct . It's no trouble at all."

Dirk Carter handed him a slip of paper and said, "On this paper, there's a na: Arlo Yarbrough, an orthopedic doctor at the Third People's Hospital of Ardmore City in Serenity State. I've been without a secretary since taking office, and I want to transfer him over to be my secretary."

"This..."

Transferring a doctor to be his secretary, and also across provinces, Randolph Griffin looked slightly troubled.

Seeing this, Dirk Carter asked, "What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

Randolph Griffin quickly smiled and said, "No, no, rest assured, Minister Carter, give a few days, and I'll get it done for you."

"I'll leave it to you then, Minister Griffin."

Dirk Carter said.

After exchanging a few courteous words, Randolph Griffin turned and left.

At the door, he opened the note to have a look, then had no choice but to grit his teeth and stamp his feet.

As Dirk Carter expected.

With Sydney Tanner in hand, the Robert Shepherd faction is like swallowing a bitter pill with nothing to say.

Around 10:30 in the morning.

Genevieve pushed open the door to Dirk Carter's office.

The two exchanged smiles.

Dirk Carter asked, "So? Did they look for you?"

Genevieve nodded and said, "Using the excuse of visiting the sick, Hugh Ford chatted with for a bit. I brushed him off as you suggested, but it's clear to see this excuse isn't very good."

Dirk Carter smiled slightly and said, "The cruder the excuse, the more apprehensive they feel inside, especially Robert Shepherd. He hasn't been the mayor for long, and we hold evidence that could bring him down, so he'll certainly treat us with utmost courtesy."

Genevieve suddenly seed to rember sothing.

She said, "By the way, I've compiled the information you wanted on Bennettson Dixon."

After speaking,

Genevieve pulled out a folder.

Dirk Carter skimd through it and understood the gist.

Bennettson Dixon and Jesse Dixon are indeed brothers, both from Cranhilla Village in Havenbrook Town of Koryn City.

Jesse Dixon is the older brother, while Bennettson Dixon is the younger.

The older brother is the town mayor of Havenbrook, and the younger brother Bennettson Dixon is the village chief of Cranhilla Village.

Cranhilla Village is a large village, mainly composed of people with the surna "Dixon," and Bennettson Dixon is the head of the Dixon Family.

"Is Gary Garrett's house an illegal construction?"

Dirk Carter asked.

Genevieve shook her head and said, "We don't have the information here. Gary Garrett's house should be on collective village land. Whether it's illegal construction or not is up to the village and town to decide."

"So, as long as the town and village both determine Gary Garrett's house is illegal construction, it is illegal construction, right?"

Dirk Carter asked.

Genevieve responded affirmatively, saying, "In a sense, that's the case."

Dirk Carter said, "The central authorities have repeatedly issued orders, even if it's illegal construction, forced demolition is prohibited. After Gary Garrett was crushed to death, who made the decision determining the responsible party was not liable?"

"It was the Havenbrook Town police station, with the local police chief Eliezer Vance's signature."

Genevieve said.

Dirk Carter continued to ask, "Then Gary Garrett's wife ca to the city to petition, and not only was she ignored, but she was detained for half a month on charges of causing trouble. Who gave this order?"

This ti, Genevieve was a bit hesitant.

Dirk Carter glared at her.

Only then did Genevieve say, "Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection Deputy Secretary Ilario Sinclair."

"Why couldn't you say so?"

Dirk Carter asked.

Genevieve said, "Ilario Sinclair was promoted by Secretary Josias Rayburn."

"So, if I move against Ilario Sinclair, it ans I also have to fall out with Josias Rayburn?"

"That's what it ans. I'm just thinking that you've just arrived in our Koryn City, and your position isn't stable yet. If you make enemies with too many people, the pressure will be imnse. Although we have Sydney Tanner, and Robert Shepherd will, to so extent, help us, he probably doesn't want to completely fall out with Josias Rayburn either, does he?"

Genevieve reminded him.

Dirk Carter took a deep breath.

He said, "What about Gary Garrett? What about gan Ford? How much pressure did they endure before they died? A hardworking man who supported his family, in the end, lost everything because a Daoist said their house obstructed soone else's feng shui, and he was crushed to death."

"gan Ford just wanted justice but was unjustly detained for half a month. Neither Koryn City nor Rexton City cared. As a mother, she left behind three children. One can only imagine how desperate she must have been at that ti."

After hearing these words,

Genevieve also took a deep breath and said, "Justice may be delayed, but it will not be absent. Actually, we can wait."

Upon hearing this,

Dirk Carter looked at Genevieve and asked, "Delayed justice, whose justice is it? Gary Garrett's? gan Ford's? They're both dead. Why can justice be delayed, but evil can't retire early? Who invented these words? Who are they ant to comfort, and who are they ant to deceive?"

Genevieve was struck silent.

She had never thought about such questions.

Clenching her teeth, she said, "Alright, do what you want, and I'll support you unconditionally."

Dirk Carter took a deep breath and said, "I've already sent soone to retrieve gan Ford's ashes, which should arrive tomorrow. Just in ti for the weekend, we'll take action tomorrow."

"Alright, I'll also go and make so preparations."

Genevieve had just stood up.

Office Director Brady Young knocked on the door, first greeting Genevieve politely.

Then he said to Dirk Carter, "Minister Carter, soone outside is looking for you."

"Who is it?"

Dirk Carter asked.

Brady Young paused and said, "Boone Jacobson, President Jacobson."

Boone Jacobson?

Dirk Carter naturally hadn't heard this na before.

Genevieve leaned over and whispered in his ear, "Chairman of Garland Real Estate Group, relatively close to Deputy Mayor Cornell Morgan."

"Oh?"

Dirk Carter smiled knowingly.

He said to Brady Young, "Alright, please invite President Jacobson in."

After Brady Young left,

Genevieve said, "This person is in real estate and quite concerned about The Economic Developnt District. Since Cornell Morgan beca the Party Secretary of The Economic Developnt District, he's maintained contact with Deputy Mayor Morgan."

"So, he represents Cornell Morgan?"

Dirk Carter asked.

Genevieve nodded, saying, "In a sense, that should be the case."

Dirk Carter pondered for a mont, narrowing his eyes as he said, "It seems soone can't wait to show their true colors."

Genevieve nodded, saying, "It's inconvenient for to stay here. I'll take my leave."

Soon after she left,

Boone Jacobson knocked on Dirk Carter's door.

"Minister Carter, I hope I'm not disturbing you?"

Boone Jacobson asked respectfully.

Dirk Carter stood up, saying, "President Jacobson, right? Co, co, co, have a seat."

Boone Jacobson didn't stand on ceremony.

He walked into the office, sat down opposite Dirk Carter, and casually crossed his legs.

"President Jacobson, is there sothing you need?"

Dirk Carter asked.

Boone Jacobson's eyes were originally darting around, but when Dirk Carter asked, he promptly retracted his gaze and said, "Oh, it's like this. I heard that a young cadre has co to our Koryn City. I've greatly admired you, so I wanted to co and visit. Upon eting you today, you indeed have an extraordinary presence."

"Haha, President Jacobson, as expected from soone who handles big business, you really know how to talk."

"This is no flattery, just the truth. I wonder if Minister Carter has any plans for the evening? Would you do the honor of giving the opportunity to invite you to dinner?"

"Dinner?"

Dirk Carter paused and asked.

Boone Jacobson smiled mysteriously and nodded.

"Does President Jacobson have sothing to discuss?"

Dirk Carter sipped his tea and asked.

Boone Jacobson chuckled slightly and said, "There is a little matter, but it's within Minister Carter's ability, and I assure you it won't cause you any trouble. Of course, it's inconvenient to talk here, so to show my respect, I ca personally to extend a hearty invitation. Minister Carter, you wouldn't refuse this face, would you?"
