"What exactly is the relationship between you three?"
Dirk Carter subconsciously asked.
Renee Carter was about to speak, but suddenly she thought of sothing, glanced at her watch, and said, "Take off your clothes."
Dirk trembled for a mont.
Just as he was about to ask why, Renee urged sternly, "Quick, strip down and help scrub."
Dirk was confused.
But he didn't hesitate.
With a few quick moves, he stripped off his clothes.
When he was left wearing only his underwear, Dirk asked, "Should I take this off too?"
Renee tossed a towel at him and said, "Just like that, hurry, scrub my back."
At that mont, Dirk also heard the clear sound of a door opening outside.
His hands climbed onto Renee's smooth back and started rubbing like a skilled masseur.
It must be said that Renee's skin was indeed very delicate; the tactile sensation from his fingers was vivid and slick. Just then, a knock on the door sounded.
"Who is it?"
Renee signaled him to be silent and asked towards the door.
"Miss Carter, our shop is giving you a complintary drink. Should I bring it in for you?"
"Bring it in."
Renee replied.
The door clicked open.
A young woman dressed as a waitress ca in, and saw Renee stark naked being scrubbed by a man wearing only briefs, yet she was not surprised at all.
"Miss Carter, this is the orange juice our shop is giving you. I'll leave it on the table."
"Alright, thank you. You can leave now."
Renee spoke seriously.
The woman smiled slightly and said, "I'll tidy up the sheets outside for you."
With that, the waitress left the bathroom and started bustling in the small suite outside.
"Why are you hesitating? Continue."
Renee shouted at Dirk with a hint of complaint.
Dirk shivered, and his hands started working again.
Both could see the female waitress outside dawdling, tidying up, occasionally peeking in, seemingly trying to discern sothing from their actions.
Dirk thought to himself, he should not just stay on the back or else it might look suspicious.
His hands that had been moving behind started to wander to the front.
His palms climbed onto the soft peaks, gently wiping them, the soft and elastic feeling making Dirk sowhat distracted.
Renee pressed her lips together.
Half-reclined in the bathtub, her eyes slightly closed, it was clear that Dirk's "service" had also made her react sowhat.
"Miss Carter, I've tidied everything up, I'm leaving now."
That female waitress naturally saw the "interaction" between them and didn't seem suspicious as she opened the door and left.
Dirk withdrew his hands as if being shocked.
He said to Renee, "Chief Carter, I'm sorry, just now..."
"That was Franco Carter's person, for the last few months, wherever I go, there is soone following . I often co here to soak and ask for massage, so no one will get suspicious. That waitress just now was hired by Franco Carter to monitor ."
Renee exhaled a long breath and said.
Franco Carter monitoring Renee Carter?
Seeing Dirk's puzzled expression.
Renee said, "Didn't you just ask what the relationship between the three of us in the photo is? We are childhood friends, childhood companions."
Boom!
Like a bolt out of the blue.
Dirk froze in place.
This news was truly explosive.
He had an inkling in his heart that the truth about these two cases might soon surface.
Over thirty years ago.
Renee grew up in the sa courtyard as Enzo Sawyer.
Enzo's father, Ephrem Sawyer, and Renee's father, Collin Carter, were both police officers at the sa station, and the families were in frequent contact.
Enzo, five years older than Renee.
In her heart, was no different from her own brother.
Enzo was indeed quite caring towards her.
In the year that Renee was seven and Enzo was twelve, another person of the sa age appeared in the courtyard, Milton Stone.
The three quickly beca friends.
As Renee initially said, the three were indeed childhood companions, innocent childhood playmates.
A few more years passed.
Due to work relocations.
The three families gradually separated one after another.
Enzo beca a prosecutor, Milton beca a policeman.
Though the three went their separate ways in life, their affection remained unchanged.
"That photo was taken when I got into the school of political science and law, with both brothers visiting and taking a photo together. At the ti, only one print was made, which I've kept safe."
When she said this, Renee appeared sowhat lancholic.
Dirk paused and said, "I had people investigate Enzo and Milton's relationship but didn't find records of them living in the sa courtyard back then."
"That's because of Uncle Stone. Uncle Stone was an anti-drug officer who later beca an undercover agent, and all records about him were erased. Although he was allowed to be disclosed posthumously, at that ti everything was recorded on paper, and those docunts could no longer be found."
Renee explained.
I see.
Dirk nodded.
"Enzo Sawyer and Milton Stone's deaths, there's sothing fishy about them, right?"
Dirk quickly asked.
Renee exhaled deeply, nodded, and said, "Yes, they were both murdered. All the stories must start from two years ago, which involves another woman, nad Gia Goz."
"Gia Goz? Milton Stone's wife?"
Upon hearing this na, Dirk tensed up and asked.
Renee nodded and said, "Gia Goz was a nurse at Koryn City Psychiatric Hospital..."
When Milton was 29.
A matchmaker introduced him to the young and beautiful Gia Goz. A year later, they got married, and at 31, Milton had a son nad Hudson Stone.
Originally, Gia Goz worked at a clinic in Tagu Street.
After maternity leave, in order to be closer to Milton, she managed to transfer to Koryn City's Psychiatric Hospital.
This hospital is located on Kestrel Street, as Milton worked at Kestrel Street Police Station.
Logically, this couple could have lived a happy life together.
But who could have imagined.
Two years ago on a stormy night, the fate of all ntioned persons would dramatically change.
That night.
Gia happened to have the night shift.
After midnight, Gia was resting in the dormitory.
Suddenly, she heard noises in the corridor, mingled with the faint cries of a young girl.
She instinctively wanted to get up and check.
The nurse resting in the sa room quickly pulled her back, telling her not to mind other people's business.
Gia was bewildered but insisted on taking a look.
Standing on the balcony, she witnessed two n in white coats forcibly stuffing a patient into an ambulance.
Mind you.
It was the middle of the night.
Who would transport a patient in a downpour at midnight?
She rushed downstairs to ask what was happening.
But she was stopped by the hospital director, Kieran Sumrs.
