A Bumpy Road to Power Chapter 60: The Grand Finale

"What are you going to do to him?"

Upon hearing that Dirk Carter was going to take action against Shane Vincent, Sierra Vincent's first reaction was still one of tension.

The afternoon at the Work Safety Administration was anything but calm.

The Work Safety Administration leaders were all waiting anxiously for sothing.

Most importantly, Adair yer was also present on the scene.

Though seated, his face was pale, indicating he was quite weak.

His outco wasn't good.

When Ewan Forrest's sisters returned, they told him, although nothing exploded, the doctor also said that his function would be affected for a long period, repeatedly advising him to stay away from won for the short term, or it would lead to serious consequences.

Upon seeing Dirk Carter, his eyes lit up with anger.

Said, "Let's start the eting. Today at the Work Safety Administration, we're here to address one issue. I've received news that there's a serious conflict between the Work Safety Administration and local businesses, which is a bad start. It exposes that so within the Work Safety Administration are overly brutal in handling issues. To maintain political and business stability, I've decided to temporarily suspend Comrade Dirk Carter from his deputy director position at the Work Safety Administration. The issue of abuse of power has been handed over to the County Oversight Committee for investigation."

Apart from Dirk Carter, Shane Vincent, and Adair yer.

There were four Oversight Committee mbers.

The leading one was the Director of the First Disciplinary Inspection and Supervision Office, Alden Crawford.

It's evident he was brought in by Shane Vincent to support him.

After the outsiders had left.

Shane Vincent glanced at Alden Crawford.

Alden Crawford waved a hand, and two disciplinary inspectors went to the door of the eting room, standing guard to prevent outsiders from entering and also to prevent Dirk Carter from escaping.

"Dirk Carter, now that there's no one else here, we should properly settle accounts between us, right?"

Everything was ready.

Adair yer spoke up.

Dirk Carter remained calm, asked, "It seems there's nothing between Director yer and to settle."

"You know yourself."

Adair yer said through gritted teeth.

Dirk Carter nodded slightly, said, "Director yer is probably referring to the incident where you were intercepted while drugging won, right?"

As soon as he said that.

Adair yer's face turned blue and then red.

He slamd the table, angrily shouted, "Dirk Carter, you bastard, today I'll kill you."

As soon as the words fell.

Alden Crawford and another cadre walked behind Dirk Carter, gripping his shoulders and pinning him firmly to the chair.

"Do you actually dare to commit violence in the Work Safety Administration?"

Dirk Carter naturally knew what was about to happen.

But he still calmly asked.

"Heh, Dirk Carter, even now you're delusional? Do you really think you have superpowers and can solve everything? I'm telling you, right now you won't find any help. Even if we cripple you, what can you do?"

Shane Vincent slowly stood up, walked to Dirk Carter's front and sneered.

"Dirk Carter! You're courting death!"

Adair yer finally couldn't sit still.

He stood up quickly.

He grabbed an ashtray from the eting table and said to Alden Crawford, "Spread his legs."

Alden Crawford obediently complied.

They each gripped one of Dirk Carter's legs and forcefully pulled them apart.

Adair yer swung the ashtray, aiming to hit Dirk Carter.

He could hit other places, but not the vital spots.

Dirk Carter wouldn't just sit and take the beating.

With a forceful kick, Alden Crawford couldn't hold him.

Dirk Carter kicked out, not missing, hitting Adair yer squarely in the crotch, the recently recovered area took another hit.

With a thud.

The ashtray fell to the ground.

Adair yer clutched his crotch, his face twisting in pain, pointed at Dirk Carter and said, "You... you bastard, you're courting death, beat... beat him to death!"

Alden Crawford was furious.

Waved his hand.

Four Oversight Committee mbers surrounded Dirk Carter.

The eting room door was pushed open.

Two people walked in side by side.

On the left was Secretary Hughes, on the right was none other than Organization Departnt Minister Alfie Grant.

Two County Committee mbers appearing simultaneously.

This was sothing no one anticipated from the start.

Though Shane Vincent was also surprised.

With a cold laugh, he said, "Secretary Hughes and Minister Grant, are you both planning to ddle in this too?"
