A docunt had already been placed on the desk.
It was delivered earlier by Branson Chandler, the director of the petition office, after sorting it out.

Dirk Carter smiled and said, "Comrcial bureau director Grantland Shelby, party secretary of Clearwater Town Cecilton Truitt, urban managent bureau director Detrios Walsh, and traffic police captain Terrell Linden were all promoted by Michael Hall. And the main complaints in the petitions are related to these departnts. Clearly, this is to stir up conflict between and Michael Hall."
"Are you saying that this so-called Mayor's Reception Day was deliberately arranged by Elliot Douglas?"
Arlo Yarbrough queried.
Dirk Carter smiled slightly.
He said, "He knows well enough to know that I wouldn't just ignore things. On the surface, he's using the petition office to expose problems, but in reality, he's trying to prevent and Michael Hall from aligning, so he can then control the power in Koryn City exclusively."
"I didn't realize it, but this Elliot Douglas is quite clever."
Arlo Yarbrough remarked.

Arlo Yarbrough inquired.
Dirk Carter didn't answer.
But he already had a vague suspicion in his heart.
And that woman was Jeanette Houseman.

At two in the afternoon.
Dirk Carter received a call from Michael Hall's secretary, asking him to go to Michael Hall's office.
When he arrived at the entrance of the Secretary Hall's office in the Municipal Committee Building, he was stopped by the secretary, who inford him that Michael Hall had an unexpected and important guest, and asked Dirk Carter to wait in the reception room for a while.
There was no choice.
Since he was already there.
He couldn't just leave, right?
Dirk Carter had just walked into the reception room when he saw Grantland Shelby already waiting inside.
Upon seeing Dirk Carter, Grantland Shelby wasn't that surprised.
He respectfully stood up and greeted him politely.
Dirk Carter pulled up a chair and sat down.
He asked, "Comrade Xuefeng, have you visited the Discipline Inspection Commission?"
Grantland Shelby chuckled and said, "Executive Carter, I planned to go, but then suddenly received a call from Secretary Hall, asking to co over here, so I did."
"After seeing Secretary Hall, don't forget to report to the Discipline Inspection Commission."
Dirk Carter coldly said.
Upon hearing this, Grantland Shelby stood up, approached Dirk Carter, and took a seat next to him, saying, "Executive Carter, so things just need to be let slide, there's really no need to be so serious about them."

If Executive Carter insists on being serious, then don't bla Secretary Hall for being unsympathetic."

Grantland Shelby's expression had already started to turn sowhat grim.
