Dirk arrived at the Rexton City Committee's Organization Departnt to report in.

Jackson Perry smiled and said, "Comrade Dirk Carter, I rember our conversation last ti you were here, and now, in the blink of an eye, we've beco colleagues."
"I hope you'll take care of in the future, Director Perry."
Dirk politely said.
Jackson Perry waved his hand and said, "What are you talking about? You're the talented young one; perhaps it's I who will need your support in the future."
Jackson Perry was soone.
Dirk had interacted with a few tis.
The first was when he took office as the organizing director of Koryn City, the second was when he personally escorted Michael Hall to take office in Koryn City.

But before coming here, Dirk had inquired and learned that Jackson Perry was quite a slick person.
In other words, a fence-sitter, as people say.
Back when Yves Giles was the mayor.
Jackson Perry and Herman Bates were quite close.
Later, Yves Giles was transferred, and Fabian Vincent took the mayor's position. It was rumored that Fabian had backing from the Houseman Family, so Jackson Perry unhesitatingly aligned himself with Fabian.
Fabian Vincent's relationship with Dirk was no secret.
Logically, Jackson Perry should have assisted Fabian in suppressing Dirk, but he always wore a facade, and treated Dirk politely, clearly wanting to be the nice guy that everyone liked and offend no one.
"Director Perry, your words really flatter ."
Dirk smiled and said nothing.
Jackson Perry laughed and said, "Comrade Dirk Carter, I won't say much more. We'll be working in the sa unit from now on; if you encounter any difficulties, co find . I'll help if I can."
"Director Perry, actually there is one thing I'd like to ask about."
"Oh? Go ahead."
Jackson Perry said.
Dirk deliberately lowered his voice and asked, "I heard that Gilbert Dixon might be on the move?"
Jackson Perry was stunned.
He said, "Who did you hear that from?"
"I heard about it even before I ca here. Could it be a rumor?"
Dirk asked.
Jackson Perry pondered for a mont and said, "My friend, this is just between us; don't spread it around. Can you promise that?"
"Rest assured, Director Perry, I, Dirk Carter, am reliable."
When Jackson Perry said that, Dirk knew this rumor wasn't groundless.
People who say such things have usually spread plenty of information.
"Regarding the potential move for Comrade Dixon, it's sothing the city has been considering for a while. It's not clear yet whether it would be to the civil affairs bureau or the transport bureau; both are possibilities. Don't assu it's due to Dixon's work ability; it's entirely because he has soone above."

Jackson Perry mysteriously pointed upwards at the ceiling.
"Director Perry, it sounds like you don't quite get along with Comrade Dixon, do you?"
Dirk noticed sothing and asked.
Jackson Perry snorted and said, "He's in the city office while I'm in the organization departnt; what would we not get along over? I just can't stand his deanor. Enough about him; I'll arrange soone to help with your paperwork. You should visit other leaders; it's only right to introduce yourself."
"Thank you, Director Perry."
Dirk stood up and said.
Jackson Perry waved his hand and said, "No need to be formal. Co by for tea when you have ti."
"I will."
Dirk said, and then turned to leave.
Once he left.
Secretary Jahlani Sutton, who was sitting outside, ca in.
Puzzled, he asked, "Director, didn't I hear that Dirk and Mayor Vincent don't get along? Aren't you concerned about Mayor Vincent having an issue with you being so cordial to Dirk?"
Jackson Perry sneered.
He said, "What Dixon did can't be let go. Dirk isn't afraid of anything; if Dixon bothers him, we're in for a good show, aren't we?"
Upon hearing this.
Jahlani Sutton suddenly realized.
He said, "Oh, you intend to use Dirk against Dixon, don't you?"
"Otherwise, why would I, a high-ranking committee leader, ingratiate myself to him? Even if he hadn't brought up Dixon today, I would have found a way to insinuate sothing, giving him a preconceived notion. As it turns out, he asked himself, saving the trouble."
Jackson Perry sighed and said.
