Capítulo 1921: Chapter 1297: You Think You’re the Monster?

“So are we certain this thing isn’t so sort of Divine Beast or Demon Beast?”

On the way back to the Argo, Duanmu Huai contacted Liliath again for updates. This Three-Headed Dragon can control thunderstorms and regenerate, and Duanmu Huai remarked that this thing is not scientific at all!

Other monsters, although massive, are mostly still within the realm of science aside from being tough.

But this one?

It’s completely beyond the scope of science.

“We’ve investigated, professor. It truly doesn’t belong to any faction.”

Liliath’s voice was also resigned, but that’s the truth. In this world, determining whether a creature is a Divine Beast or a Demon Beast depends on the mythological background it belongs to and soone to claim it.

For example, a Qilin, everyone knows it’s from Eastern mythology, so you just need to find soone from Eastern mythology to help deal with it.

The Evil Dragon is the sa. In Western myth and legend, the Evil Dragon is usually taken to be of Western mythological background.

This Three-Headed Dragon looks every bit like it belongs to Western mythology, and yet neither the Devil World nor the Angels claim it.

“Why not? There must be a reason.”

“Uh… quite simply, we can’t communicate with it.”

“Can’t communicate?”

“Yes, it uses a language completely different from any we’re familiar with, and we simply can’t understand what it’s saying… so…”

“Then I guess I have to figure it out myself.”

Duanmu Huai cut off the communication speechlessly. It seems that it’s not that the Gods and Devils don’t want to handle it, but rather because it’s completely outside their jurisdiction?

How is that possible? At least from Duanmu Huai’s perspective, this Three-Headed Dragon looks every bit like sothing out of myth and legend, controlling storms with three heads. If it was really an ancient remnant, at least it should be a Dragon God, right?

But to say it’s not?

“So this really isn’t a Demon Beast?”

Listening in on Duanmu Huai and Liliath’s conversation, Lorena was quite astonished as well. After all, from her world’s viewpoint, this Three-Headed Dragon could certainly be considered a high-level Demon Beast.

“Who knows, I also think it looks like a Demon Beast… Anyway, let’s wait until we return to the Argo and see what the people from the Emperor Organization say.”

Duanmu Huai didn’t hold much hope for this at first, but when he returned to the Argo, he actually learned sothing about the dragon’s background.

“An extraterrestrial creature? Are you serious?”

Looking at the researcher in front of him, Duanmu Huai was completely baffled.

“Of course.”

The short-haired female researcher nodded, then tapped on the keyboard to display a mural. It depicted a Godzilla-like monster battling a three-headed monster. Although the artwork looked like it was done by an elentary schooler, at least the characteristics of both were outlined.

“We found this in a cave near Monster Zero. According to the mural’s description, this giant dragon ca from beyond the stars, then fought Godzilla and was eventually defeated and sealed in ice. The tribe that crafted the mural revered Godzilla as their Guardian God, so they have lived here for generations, guarding the sealed Monster Zero.”

“So… this is really an Alien Monster?”

After hearing the female researcher’s report, Duanmu Huai’s expression was very strange. No wonder Liliath said neither the Devil World nor the Angels could understand what this creature was saying—Earthlings and aliens don’t speak the sa language, after all.

Plus, the creature was frozen in the Antarctic Ice Cave by Godzilla shortly after arrival, barely gaining any notoriety on Earth, so it’s no surprise both sides knew nothing about this Strange Dragon.

Oh, and by the way…

“What about Godzilla?”

Duanmu Huai rembered seeing Godzilla drag this Strange Dragon into the water on the screen, then humans dropped a missile on it, and it disappeared. The Strange Dragon later flew out again.

Does that an Godzilla’s finished?

“Godzilla’s signal has completely vanished… confird dead.”

This ti, Professor Serizawa also walked over, his expression pained as he spoke, while Duanmu Huai gave him a puzzled look, not knowing what was going through his head.

One monster died, why does it feel like you lost your dear father?

Unless you had so love affair with Godzilla?

“What’s that one doing now, expressing its emotions?”

Duanmu Huai gestured toward the screen, where the Three-Headed Dragon was still strutting over the sea where it fought Godzilla, roaring. With it at the center, dark clouds gathered around, thunder and lightning flashed, and rain poured down. While it indeed fit the big boss vibe, the problem is, you need an audience to show off.

Although Duanmu Huai and others could see the scene from the drone footage, in that sea area there’s nothing around, so the Strange Dragon is essentially performing in an empty theater, showing off to an absent audience… what’s the point?

“Roar——— Howl———!!”

“This…”

Hearing Duanmu Huai’s inquiry, Dr. Serizawa’s expression was also quite peculiar.

“Maybe it’s marking its territory…?”

“So what? Is it going to take a leak in the sea next?”

“Uh… this…”

Just when Dr. Serizawa was stumped by Duanmu Huai’s tricky questions, that Strange Dragon suddenly made a move. It raised its three heads high and let out a furious roar!

“Roar—————!!”

Unlike before, this roar was comparable to a thunderclap, and simultaneously, a thick golden lightning bolt suddenly shot through the clouds, striking hard onto the sea surface. Imdiately, the entire sea erupted into a gigantic vortex, and the lightning surged into the vortex!

“What is it doing?”

Witnessing this scene, not only was Duanmu Huai puzzled, but even Dr. Serizawa and other mbers of the Emperor Organization were bewildered. It’s understandable; if it were native Monsters, they could explain a little, but this extraterrestrial guest… it’s their first encounter too!

How does one explain this?

“Dr. Serizawa!”

However, at this mont, the female researcher who had previously told stories to Duanmu Huai suddenly turned pale.

“We’ve detected a Monster signal!”

“What? Is it Godzilla?”

“No, it’s… an unknown signal!”

“Roar oh oh oh oh!!!!”

At that mont, a terrifying howl suddenly echoed, and everyone imdiately looked towards the screen. In the Great Vortex, a Monster suddenly poked its head out!

Its shape and appearance were similar to Godzilla, except it had an erect, axe-like bone on its head, making it look especially odd.

“Oh oh oh oh!!”

But this wasn’t the end, as several other Monsters soon erged from the Great Vortex, each with different forms and seemingly different species. Yet these Monsters were now gathered before the Three-Headed Dragon, as if they were its loyal minions.

What’s going on?

Seeing this, Duanmu Huai frowned slightly. He had already received a report from Aikute that all Monsters at the Emperor Base had been eliminated by the Night Guards. So where did these Monsters co from? Could it be that so escaped? It’s not surprising considering the vastness of Earth and the short establishnt of the Emperor Organization; missing a few wouldn’t be strange… But why are they all in the sa place?

Does this make sense?

“Uncle!”

While Duanmu Huai was puzzled, Aikute suddenly sent a ssage.

“What’s happening over there? We’ve detected space fluctuations!”

“Space fluctuations?”

Upon hearing Aikute’s inquiry, Duanmu Huai frowned.

“Are you saying a Teleportation Portal? Where is it?”

“Just beneath that… Three-Headed Dragon, deep in the sea, it just appeared!”

“…Hmm?”

Facing Aikute’s answer, Duanmu Huai was at a loss.

“Wait, let figure this out.”

According to Aikute, the Three-Headed Dragon used Thunder and Lightning to attack the sea, actually constructing a Teleportation Portal underwater? Then these Monsters aren’t dormant indigenous creatures of this planet, but extraterrestrial creatures from that Portal?

So… is this alien Three-Headed Dragon here to invade? It first arrived, then opened a Portal to summon others, and then launched an attack?

Similar things have been done by many extraterrestrial beings, like the Tyran Swarms, but Duanmu Huai didn’t expect these Monsters with thick eyebrows and big eyes to use this trick?

Your size is so big, why not confront directly? Playing such a trick, that’s unfair.

Oh well, since you don’t play by the rules, I won’t discuss rules with you either.

Duanmu Huai coughed and then looked at Aikute again.

“Is my Dadda still eating?”

“Uh… yes, Uncle…”

Upon hearing Duanmu Huai’s question, Aikute’s expression was slightly complex, but she nodded. She obviously knew whom Duanmu Huai was referring to, but even Aikute could only wonder why Duanmu Huai had to give it such a na—though, having been with Duanmu Huai for so long, she knew he loved giving quirky nas.

Things like Pink Little Tutu, Three Little Pigs, Turkey-Flavored Crisps… thinking about it, perhaps Dadda isn’t that strange.

“Well, it ate a lot, should let it digest… walk after als, live to ninety-nine.”

Saying this, Duanmu Huai stretched out his finger, and swiftly, a flash of the God of Destruction’s Divine Power flickered at his fingertip.

Duanmu Huai initially thought he could resolve this himself.

But he didn’t expect you, the outsider, to disregard rules.

Don’t bla for being rude then.
