The pitch-black figure traversed the battlefield, bringing nothing but destruction and death in his wake. The minions of the evil gods crumbled, retreated, and perished under his wrath.

However, it wasn’t the Emperor’s wrath; his roar was like thunder, his anger brought destruction. That figure not only instilled fear in the enemy but even made his own side tremble. It was a cold, ruthless judgnt. Unlike the rciful, imperial-loving Divine Emperor, he was a terrifying, unimaginable embodint of destruction, rcilessly bringing death and destruction to the enemies of humanity, without a shred of compassion.

For the first ti in recorded history, the embodint of the Tribunal’s faith, the God of Destruction appeared before mankind.

————"Imperial Chronicle - The Cadia Chapter"

Ercansus had every reason to feel proud.

As Abaddon’s lieutenant, he possessed extraordinary talent, and he had proven his strength.

During his advance towards the fortress world, Ercansus encountered three warships of the Imperial Navy, and those three ships attempted to destroy him. However, with cunning, ferocity, and technique, Ercansus maneuvered his warship to crush them. Two were destroyed in battle, and the last was annihilated while trying to flee.

Three against one and yet defeated, the typical case of incompetence.

This war pleased Brutal Wrath, thus Ercansus received the cherished reward and was imdiately promoted to the newly born Demon Prince under Brutal Wrath’s banner.

This filled Ercansus with confidence about this war.

This ti, they will surely win!

Confidently, Ercansus thought, but......

What the hell is this?

Ercansus stared at the battlefield ahead, now drenched in blood, filled with corpses of Black Legion Astarte and traitors. And atop this mountain of corpses and sea of blood stood a tall, pitch-black figure, wielding a War Hamr, covered in blood. Beneath him lay bones and blood, and he brought death and destruction!

What the hell is this thing!

Ercansus almost scread, if he weren’t Brutal Wrath’s Demon Prince, he would’ve thought this creature more demonic than a demon must be Brutal Wrath’s champion or Great Demon!!

Ercansus did not think the opponent is a saint of the National Religion, as he did not sll that nauseating scent of faith in the Fake Emperor. Yet he was here, blocking the Black Legion’s assaults again and again. Black Legion’s Bomb Guns and Plasma Cannons couldn’t even scratch his Black Armor, and any Black Legion brothers daring to fight were smashed to pulp by this terrifying creature...

This guy really isn’t Brutal Wrath’s chosen?

In the depths of Ercansus’s mind, an absurd thought arose, only to be quickly suppressed. No matter what, this guy must be defeated! They must seize the fortress, destroy the Shield Generator protecting the Kadia Planet, only this way can they utterly destroy the planet and remove the last hindrance to the expansion of the Eye of Fear!

And now, Ercansus had no way back.

Sure, he could wait, wait for the battle above to end, and for the Black Fleet’s air support, but he couldn’t. Ercansus could feel the blood within him boiling, in the Subspace resonance, the Blood God’s endless roar echoed, challenging him, and he had only one thing to do.

That is to accept it!

Ercansus took a deep breath, opened the wings behind him, the slaughter and blood ahead made him eager to fight. Battle, blood, death. The deity Ercansus served was craving for all this, and simultaneously furious, roaring, Ercansus could feel the Blood God’s boundless anger towards that tall dark shadow, though Ercansus didn’t know why, but now, what he had to do was evidently only one.

Ercansus bent slightly, wings spread, gripping his Longsword tightly, staring ahead.

Then......

"Blood sacrifice to the Blood God, skulls for the throne!"

The Demon Prince roared, spreading his wings, charging towards Duanmu Huai. It transford into a filthy, flesh-and-blood tempest, straight at the enemy ahead.

"Alas......"

Watching the Demon Prince charging towards him, Duanmu Huai silently sighed, first Corrupted Foil, now Brutal Wrath, do they really think these little brats could be his opponents. Although Duanmu Huai never thought the Chaos Evil God’s intelligence could be this low, encountering such enemies repeatedly left him speechless.

But co to think of it, a battle roar is indeed quite cool.

Duanmu Huai’s mind flashed with a thought entirely unrelated to the battle, honestly, he too wanted to shout sothing, just not knowing what would be good. Blood sacrifice to the Blood God is certainly out of the question. The Emperor bless kind of stuff, even more so.

Are we supposed to shout WAGGGGGGGH?

That doesn’t seem right either.

Forget it, whatever.

Duanmu Huai withdrew his thoughts; at this mont, the Demon Prince had already charged right up to him, swinging his longsword down at Duanmu Huai—a lightning-fast, direct strike aid straight at Duanmu Huai’s chest.

However, Duanmu Huai didn’t care at all about the opponent’s attack. The reason was simple: this wasn’t Duanmu Huai’s style. Additionally, Astarte’s speed indeed gave Duanmu Huai a headache.

So he simply didn’t bother to dodge. Let him be strong if he wants, like a gentle breeze brushing the hills. Let him be fierce if he wants, like the bright moon illuminating the river.

The way you want to fight is your business, but similarly, the way I want to fight is mine!

Thus, facing the assault of the Demon Prince, Duanmu Huai’s response showed no difference from before. He ignored the demon sword swinging towards him and rely raised his war hamr, smashing it down towards the Demon Prince’s body.

"Crunch!"

The demon sword in the Demon Prince’s hand struck Duanmu Huai’s armor, managing to leave a deep scar on the battle armor’s surface, which even energy beams couldn’t penetrate. The flaming demon sword cleaved into Duanmu Huai’s thick power armor, and Ercansus could even feel the sensation of hacking flesh traveling up the blade, which delighted him.

But quickly, the Demon Prince realized sothing was wrong. The heavy armor that Duanmu Huai wore, which had been breached, now clamped onto the longsword in the Demon Prince’s hand like a rigid shell. At the sa ti, a twisted, shadow-like indescribable aura surged from within, snaking around the Demon Prince’s demon sword like a serpent, extending along the blade, and transforming into several tendrils that tightly gripped Ercansus’s arm!

What the hell is this thing!?

At this mont, the Demon Prince couldn’t hold it together. He could feel, as those tendrils touched his body, that everything around him started to distort and deform. Ercansus believed that in the Supre Heavens, he had already witnessed the most incomprehensible and unimaginable existences of this world. He even thought he had long since lost the ability to sense anything beyond combat.

But now, he was wrong!

In Ercansus’s eyes, the world began to distort and deform. The ground, piled with corpses beneath his feet, turned into an indescribable mass of flesh and blood. It seed as if this planet was a mass of raw flesh itself, and he was standing on its skinned surface.

A dense bloody scent rushed toward him, filled with piercing screams, unlike the mutterings of the subspace. This sound not only penetrated his soul, his mind, and his brain but also pierced into his very flesh. Ercansus could feel that even his skin and hair seed to have beco extensions of his ears, listening to that indescribable, incomprehensible noise emanating from different dinsions.

The Blood God’s roar remained filled with rage, but it was barely audible, almost nullified by the barrage of noises from different dinsions. Ercansus lowered his head, surprisingly finding that the black battle armor he wore had transford into a twisted mass of flesh, with eyes erging from its gaps, staring at him intently.

Their gaze was full of hatred, anger, fear, and various other expressions. They seed to belong to enemies who had been killed by the Demon Prince, but this couldn’t be. Was it a hallucination? Could subspace hallucinations affect him? No, this isn’t right. This isn’t a hallucination from subspace!!

Ercansus felt that inside his armor, tiny tendrils seed to be wriggling, rapidly extending and invading the pores of his skin. Ercansus could feel these tendrils penetrating his body, even connecting with his blood vessels!

What shocked Ercansus even more was that the power within him, bestowed by the Blood God, was being tainted and distorted!

"Damn you, scum! What have you done...!?"

For Ercansus, this was a lengthy process, but in fact, on the battlefield, this took only a mont—as if in a basketball animation, where a recollection can take three episodes, but the actual action is just a single layup.

Ercansus’s scream hadn’t even finished when Duanmu Huai’s war hamr smashed into him. The imnse force tore the Demon Prince’s body apart—his right side ensnared by the dark, shadowy tendrils, while his left side was smashed and deford, the massive wings unable to close in ti, ripped apart like bed sheets.

But he didn’t even have a chance to escape!

Duanmu Huai grabbed Ercansus’s wrist with one hand and tossed aside the war hamr with the other, seizing the Demon Prince’s torn wings.

Then he lifted both arms, hoisting the Demon Prince high.

And then he pulled down with force!

The newly ascended Demon Prince’s body was smashed onto Duanmu Huai’s helt like a slate shattering stones. Ercansus’s body bent, twisted like a steel pipe, and then, with Duanmu Huai once again hoisting the Demon Prince, his arms tensed abruptly, and he yanked the Demon Prince’s body like wringing a towel!

"Squelch—————!"

Ercansus’s body was thus forcibly twisted, crushed. Blood, mixed with flesh and organs, flowed out like murky sewage, splattering onto Duanmu Huai’s armor. Then, he tossed aside the completely desiccated corpse of the Demon Prince, his eyes turning to gaze at the Eye of Fear before him.

"Coward, dare to co out and fight !!"
