Chapter 1969: Chapter 1329: A Small Segnt of History (Ben the Hungry Cat Fears Nothing!)

Kiriman indeed made a choice.

Just as Duanmu Huai comforted him, regardless of the situation, even without the Primordial, humans have survived these ten thousand years.

Religious beliefs? Duanmu Huai feels it’s not too difficult to accept whether to return the soul to the Golden Throne or beco a toy of the Subspace Evil God. This choice is obviously evident.

Although Kiriman is eager to reclaim the entire Ultramar Star Region and even guard the entire Imperial, Duanmu Huai managed to persuade him. He reminded Kiriman not to forget the final result of the Human Lord’s hasty and planless great expedition. Haste makes waste; humanity is indeed in danger, but at least for now, Cadia still survives, and the Great Rift has not appeared. Humans, relying on their own strength, are enough to resist the erosion of Subspace Demons and Chaos.

“Before the troops move, supplies must be prepared first. I think you might as well take this opportunity to continue doing what you are best at.”

What Kiriman is best at is naturally operation, then F2A.

And as congratulations for Kiriman’s return, Duanmu Huai also gave him a small gift.

“What is this?”

Curiously looking at the box that looked sowhat like a suitcase, Kiriman looked towards Duanmu Huai, who simply chuckled.

“This is called a Reality Stabilizing Anchor… specifically used to deal with Subspace. Well, it might not work for others, but for you, a Psychic Muggle, it’s just right.”

“What’s a Psychic Muggle…?”

Staring at the amused Duanmu Huai, Kiriman was at a loss for words. Although he still maintained a necessary vigilance towards Duanmu Huai, Kiriman had to admit that after ten millennia, the person before him might be the only one he could still consider a familiar friend.

“I think you sowhat understand the concept of Subspace, so I won’t elaborate much. Simply put, this thing can restore the chaotic universe back to a state of physical calmness. Any psionics or Subspace erosion will be expelled—as its na suggests, the Reality Stabilizing Anchor can stabilize reality and eliminate unreasonable Subspace laws. Of course, if you use this in front of a think tank, they wouldn’t even be able to use spells, but I think you won’t have this issue, right?”

“So that’s why you said it’s okay for to use it, right…?”

Kiriman was speechless.

“Of course, or if you use it in front of Magnus, I think he would definitely go berserk.”

Duanmu Huai silently mocked.

“Knock knock knock.”

At this mont, there was a knock on the door. Kiriman glanced at Duanmu Huai, who waved his hand. So Kiriman turned back to the front and solemnly said.

“Co in.”

Soon, the door opened, and a richly dressed man walked in. Seeing his appearance, Kiriman felt sowhat displeased. The man in front of him was the consul general of Makulag, essentially the head of Makulag’s governnt. Ever since Kiriman’s return, he had reached out to Kiriman several tis, yet what displeased Kiriman was that instead of discussing the reconstruction of Makulag and subsequent work of Ultramar, the man was always caught up in seemingly trivial matters, or simply praised the greatness of the Primordial—a total brown-noser.

The fact that such a person could beco the head of the Makulag governnt left Kiriman almost in despair.

However, despite the displeasure, as a qualified politician, Kiriman maintained a calm and composed expression during this mont.

“What’s the matter?”

In response to Kiriman’s inquiry, the consul general appeared very enthusiastic.

“Great and respected Progenitor Father, I’m here on behalf of the people of Makulag to present a suggestion to you. We should hold a grand military parade and take this opportunity to announce your return in the newspaper and deliver this joyous news to every world in the Imperial. After a long wait of ten millennia, I believe the citizens of the Imperial would be very happy to hear this good news.”

“………”

Kiriman did not speak, but his expression revealed his disdain for this trivial proposal. Though Kiriman acknowledged the necessity of the consul general’s suggestion, he felt that such pompous celebration and parade was indeed overly lavish and extravagant……

“Oh, Kiriman.”

At this mont, Duanmu Huai, who was sitting next to him eating snacks and drinking tea, suddenly spoke.

“You can try this thing now; there’s a surprise.”

“A surprise?”

Hearing Duanmu Huai’s words, Kiriman was montarily stunned, but he still reached out and pressed on the Reality Stabilizing Anchor on the table, then watched as the thing directly flipped open, rotating like a radar.

Kiriman didn’t feel anything special, but the consul general had a different opinion. Accompanied by a shrill scream unlike any human sound, Kiriman watched in shock as his consul general began to twist and deform, the original human form vanishing, replaced by a disgusting monster covered in purple scales, twisted and malford.

Kiriman watched this spectacle in surprise, while the latter, using both hands and feet, lunged towards him like a big lizard—yet in the next mont, Duanmu Huai’s Thunder Warhamr appeared out of thin air, smashing into the monster and turning it into a pile of pulp.

“This, what exactly is……”

“That’s why I told you this thing is quite useful for you.”

Duanmu Huai sighed at Kiriman.

“You’re a Psychic Muggle, and you couldn’t even sense the Demon Transformation walking right up to you, how won’t you be deceived to death?”

“………”

Kiriman stared at the bloodied corpse before him, clenching his teeth. He had seen similar monsters during his last battle before entering the Stasis Field, and now……

“They’ve already infiltrated Makulag?”

“Is that strange? Your descendants are like you, mostly Psychic Muggles. Demons twisting your perception and tricking you is just too easy.”

“………”

This mont, Kiriman’s face was as black as coal, he’s no fool. With even the consul general replaced, how infiltrated Makulag is, he dares not imagine!

“…Your Honor, the Judge.”

Kiriman once again looked at Duanmu Huai and bowed.

“If possible, could you tell us about the reality stabilizing anchor…”

“Don’t co to for that.”

Without Kiriman saying anything, Duanmu Huai could already guess what he was thinking.

“The production of the reality stabilizing anchor is not high, and I can only give you a portion myself. However, if you want to completely curb or eliminate the corruption of subspace, I suggest you go find Dolakor.”

“Dolakor…?”

“Yes, your Great Sage. He has already done so research on the Blackstone Obelisk on Cadia. You can refer to that for reconstruction. Of course, I can personally offer you a shipping container of reality stabilizing anchors as a friendly gesture. I suggest you place these reality stabilizing anchors where the chanical Religion conducts research and manufacturing, so they can study the manufacturing process of the Blackstone Obelisk without being polluted by subspace erosion.”

The power of the reality stabilizing anchor cos from the chanical Descent, which is a soul card, and Duanmu Huai certainly cannot give that to Kiriman. So, he instead suggests Kiriman to study the Blackstone Obelisk.

“Regarding the situation in Cadia, I did hear Kor explain…”

Hearing Duanmu Huai’s proposal, Kiriman paused for a mont and nodded.

“Alright, I’ll go and discuss with Kor on how to solve this problem.”

Of course, that said, Kiriman still requested a large batch of reality stabilizing anchors from Duanmu Huai, and conducted a thorough cleanup and investigation of the entire administration of Makulag. After all, even the consul chief was transford into a demon, so it’s imaginable that Makulag must be crawling with cultists and demons.

Indeed, just as Kiriman expected.

With the assistance of the Tribunal and the Grey Knights, and the aid of the reality stabilizing anchors, Kiriman successfully rooted out a large number of cultists and demons within Makulag, which made him incredibly angry. After all, Makulag was his holand, and now these guys had even extended their reach to his own backyard!

After sweeping through the entire Makulag, Kiriman also sought out Duanmu Huai and Kor to discuss how to physically restrain the influence of subspace.

To this, Duanmu Huai provided three suggestions.

First, in Duanmu Huai’s view, the most reliable is still the Blackstone Obelisk. If Dolakor can fully understand the manufacturing process of the Blackstone Obelisk, then making Blackstone Obelisks to restrain subspace is obviously the safest and most effective thod.

Second, they can place the destruction holy emblems of the Tribunal, which contain the power of destruction to a certain extent to weaken and eliminate portions of subspace psionics.

The third thod is the reality stabilizing anchor—this thing isn’t really difficult to make, but the energy source is the problem. This world doesn’t have chanical Descent, and Duanmu Huai’s opinion is that if they want to make reality stabilizing anchors, they can look for Star God fragnts for the energy source.

However, this is not an easy task because Star God fragnts are sealed in the tombs of the Space Undead, so finding Star God fragnts ans going grave robbing among the Space Undead. It’s okay if you dig a small fragnt, but if you accidentally unearth a big boss, then you’re done for.

Not to ntion that Star God fragnts range from small to large. The small ones have little self-awareness and can be easily captured, but as for the large ones… hahahaha, even Duanmu Huai would have to fight them head-on; as for the Empire, who knows how many people would die.

As for what Kiriman would ultimately do, Duanmu Huai did not concern himself; after all, it’s Kiriman’s problem, not his. In fact, in Makulag, most of Duanmu Huai’s ti was spent on… clothes.

That’s right, clothes.

Because the build of Primarchs and Astartes is relatively larger, this world has a departnt dedicated to making clothes for them, so Duanmu Huai took the chance to get a few Judge outfits made—after all, it’s quite difficult for soone with his build to find clothes in other worlds.

For example, the one right in front of him.

Duanmu Huai stood in front of the mirror, satisfied with his outfit, a black satin suit with a silk shawl, a cloak of the sa color with a blood-red lining, a brass skull emblem pinned on the chest, and gold tassels swinging with Duanmu Huai’s movents, with velvet gloves and riding boots… Hmm, elegant, perfect.

“You’ve been looking in the mirror for almost ten minutes now.”

Kiriman, while approving docunts, helplessly quipped.

“I never knew you liked these things.”

“It’s not a matter of liking or not, you probably can’t understand; for soone with a body like mine, finding clothes is pretty hard, they usually have to be custom-made, and that’s a huge hassle.”

Duanmu Huai waved his hand.

“Since you have plenty here, I’ll just take a few sets, hope you’re not that stingy.”

“It would be better if you didn’t ask those tailors for floral underpants or tank tops; they might think I’ve awakened so new hobby.”

“Because I can lie by the beach and sunbathe when I go back, you can’t.”

“………”

For a mont, Kiriman really wanted to throw down his pen and drag Duanmu Huai into the Duel Cage for a good talk.

But he still restrained himself with his usual self-control.

Because he still had many docunts to review.

Kiriman quietly said to himself.

Not at all because of the possibility of embarrassnt from losing.

But still………..

“Are you really going back?”

“Of course, I won’t be staying here for long.”

Duanmu Huai shook his head, then looked at Kiriman.

“Don’t worry, at least I’ll send you back to Terra—though I can’t go, and I’m too lazy to et that old salted fish.”
