Capítulo 2176: Chapter 1470: Advent

As it turns out, Duanmu Huai’s decision was also correct. Because when they arrived there, they found the area had already been cleared. Ard soldiers stood firm on both sides, and in front of the platform stood a group of people who looked like high-ranking officials… Well, that’s how it was.

Watching the transport aircraft descending from the sky, the people below also had faces of steel, but they could only watch, not daring to make a move against them—are they joking, thinking the opponent’s warship is just for show?

To say nothing else, the pitch-black muzzle alone made their legs tremble!

Next, they saw the transport aircraft stop, and dozens of Night Guards, ard to the teeth and towering in stature, stepped out holding chainsaw guns. At this point, many people had already begun to tremble.

After all, the Tribunal’s symbol is the skull. Imagine dozens of warriors clad in full armor, nearly two ters tall, striding out wielding rough and fierce chainsaw guns, and their bodies covered with skull insignia… Anyway, at first glance, they certainly don’t seem like good people!

But now they’re here, what can you do?

Especially after Duanmu Huai stepped out, everyone around felt even more terrified, with quite a few trembling with fear and ready to leave. If not for the girls accompanying him diluting that terrifying aura from Duanmu Huai, everyone might have scattered like treating a wild beast!

Duanmu Huai walked up to the man and stared at him.

“I am the Grand Judge Duanmu Huai of the Tribunal. Please inform of the current situation here.”

“… Ah, I, I am… ”

Facing Duanmu Huai in front of him, the man trembled and couldn’t utter a word. Seeing his pathetic state, Duanmu Huai frowned slightly. Fortunately, at this mont, a woman in a lab coat, dressed like a researcher, suddenly walked up to Duanmu Huai.

“Please follow , I will explain the disaster our world is currently facing.”

“Who are you?”

“My na is i, you can call Dr. i.”

The woman adjusted her glasses and spoke calmly, and Duanmu Huai examined her before nodding.

“Alright, lead the way.”

On the way following Dr. i into the facility, Duanmu Huai listened to her describe the disaster that happened in this world—this world has a unified governnt, a civilization advanced for its level. If there were no accidents, it was only a matter of ti before they ventured into the starry sky.

However, that was in a no-accident scenario.

In fact, accidents did happen.

In this world, a contagious disease called Collapse erged, capable of spreading rapidly. Infected individuals lose their sanity and beco monsters akin to zombies, known as “Dead Soldiers”, who can only be prevented from spreading by being killed completely. Initially, the world’s rulers considered Collapse as a common biological contagion, thinking they could control it by identifying and managing the source.

However, that wasn’t the case, if it were rely a biochemical crisis, with the technology and civilization strength of this world, it wouldn’t be deed a disaster.

But the problem lies in the terrifying beings called Lawyers born from the Collapse.

Every Lawyer was forrly human and possessed unimaginable powers. Especially the Third Lawmaker, Thunder Lawmaker, who could control thunder, transforming it into formidable Strength, and with an almost unstoppable force destroyed two tropolises each housing millions.

It was only then that people truly realized the threat posed by Lawyers, and Collapse beca fully visible to the public.

After that, everything spiraled out of control.

The Fourth Law, Fifth Law, Sixth Law…

The ergence of each Lawyer resulted in unimaginable casualties, and every ti humans of this world defeated a Lawyer, the cost was nearly equivalent. The biggest problem is that Lawyers erge without any prerequisites or signs, not even a fixed person. It’s like one day, soone wakes up, and they instantly transform from harmless ordinary humans to incredibly powerful Lawyers, capable of easily destroying cities, slaughtering humans, annihilating everything.

To counter these terrifying disasters, humans of this world ford an organization called Fire Moth, with Dr. i being a mber of it.

“We still haven’t completely understood the principles of Collapse and the reason Lawyers erge… But clearly, this isn’t rely so mutated virus infection.” Leading Duanmu Huai to the command room, Dr. i showed them combat footage of past battles against Lawyers within the Fire Moth organization.

Watching the scenes on the screen, Duanmu Huai was deep in thought, saying nothing, while others stood where they were.

“So, guest from the star sky, do you have a way to counter this threat?”

“I have so ideas, but I’m not certain if they’re right.”

In response to Dr. i’s slightly challenging inquiry, Duanmu Huai didn’t give an imdiate answer.

“However, I need to have a look… By the way, do you have patients suffering from Collapse here?”

“Of course.”

“Take to see them.”

Without further ado, Dr. i proceeded to lead them to a dical facility below Fire Moth’s headquarters. Here, quite a few people in hospital gowns could be seen standing weakly, their eyes void of consciousness, bodies covered in strange lines and streaks.

“This is Collapse.”

Looking at those patients, Dr. i’s expression remained unchanged.

“Their bodies will be eroded by these bizarre lines, their self will disintegrate, ultimately transforming into frenzied, slaughter and destruction-driven monsters.”

“Hasn’t Fire Moth developed dication to treat Collapse?” An Haqi curiously asked, to which Dr. i shook her head.

“No, while dication to cure Collapse has been developed, it’s… very expensive. We can extract serum from the deceased patients’ bodies to create antibodies, but to save one person, at least the bodies of a thousand Collapse-afflicted patients are needed to extract enough antibodies.”

“This… ”

Hearing Dr. i’s words, An was speechless indeed, such dication, yes, the cost is certainly steep.

“So, guest from the star sky, do you have a solution?”

Once again, Dr. i directed her query to Duanmu Huai, who this ti rely shrugged.

“You’ll find out by trying.”

Speaking, Duanmu Huai retrieved a Reality Stabilizing Anchor from thin air and threw it among the patients.

Soon, the Reality Stabilizing Anchor landed steadily under everyone’s gaze, then unfolded. Next, an invisible force expanded, enveloping the surroundings.

The next mont, a surprising scene occurred.

“Ooh… Ah…”

Those patients who previously had only instincts, wandering as if sleepwalking, gradually regained consciousness, and the purple lines on their bodies began to fade rapidly. Within monts, they awoke as if from a deep dream, gazing around.

“Eh? Where am I… ”

“What’s going on? How did I end up here?”

“…!? ”

Witnessing this scene, everyone in Fire Moth was dumbfounded, and Dr. i also turned to look at Duanmu Huai, surprise flickering in her eyes.

“What did you do?”

“I’ll explain it to you later.”

Duanmu Huai waved his hand, then glanced at his terminal.

“As expected, this is not a disease, but an anomaly.”

He then spoke.
