"Na?"

"Pado...Pado Filis."

"Gender?"

"Huh? Female, a girl?"

"Occupation?"

"Fusion Warrior...I suppose?"

Everyone looked incredulously at the young girl with cat ears and a tail, sitting obediently in the chair.

"You’re also a Fusion Warrior?"

Xixi stared at the cat-eared girl in surprise, unable to find the words.

"But...aren’t there only six Fusion Warriors?"

Speaking, Xixi glanced at Alicia and Eden, both of whom exchanged looks.

"I didn’t receive a report?"

"Neither did I...could it be that Dr. i forgot?"

"I don’t think Dr. i would forget sothing like this, right?"

The group debated back and forth without reaching a conclusion, so they decided to ask Pado Filis herself. Her answer left them even more speechless.

According to Pado Filis, she was originally a small-ti thief in the Twilight District. During the previous Thousand People Lawmaker incident, she stole a box containing the Wind Law Core and a docunt at the ti. Of course, the Law Core was later retrieved by Duanmu Huai, but Pado Filis took the docunt with her.

In fact, it wasn’t an ordinary docunt but one that detailed the Fusion Warrior procedural collaboration!

Yes, indeed, other agencies of the Fire Moth were also pursuing the Fusion Warrior procedural plan. Since previously the surgeries were conducted solely by Dr. bius, during the fight against the Thousand People Lawmaker, the Fire Moth considered mass-producing Fusion Warriors for the fight.

The challenge lay in that specialized production is different from mass production. Dr. bius is the top scientist within the Fire Moth, and surgeries perford by her had a high success rate. It’s akin to how international-renowned surgeons are better than those at county hospitals.

No matter how capable Dr. bius is, she’s not a Guanyin with a thousand hands, and she couldn’t create a thousand Fusion Warriors at once. So, several subordinate research bases also took on the task of assisting with the improved surgical procedure. These procedures needed subjects, and the Fire Moth did select so from the special task force for similar experintal transformations.

The docunt that Pado Filis obtained was one among them.

As for why the fleeing researcher carried this docunt, perhaps he intended to undergo the Fusion Warrior procedure himself...However, getting answers from the dead is impossible now.

If Pado Filis had discarded the docunt, it would have been nothing. But she wasn’t content to let her stolen goods be taken away like that. So, upon reviewing the docunt, she concocted a plan—she would disguise herself and sneak into the Fire Moth’s base for more loot!

Since the docunt was an internal file, Pado Filis couldn’t understand the format and terminology. She only recognized that the docunt represented a Fire Moth personnel identity, which she used to infiltrate. She took the docunt to the research institute at the address listed.

Originally, if both sides had verified, Pado Filis would have been exposed. However, the research institute was already damaged by the Thousand People Lawmaker, so Pado Filis was mistakenly identified as a survivor and taken in. Naturally, they questioned her, and to maintain her disguise, Pado Filis answered every question.

Why did she do it?

The reason is simple: because the staff were so serious and earnest that Pado Filis suspected it would lead to sothing important. For a small thief from the Twilight District, the more important sothing is, the more valuable it is. These questions were rely a preliminary test before that!

By passing the test, she could see this important thing, steal it, and sell it for a fortune!

Pado Filis had calculated ticulously, believing up until the mont she was on the operating table that it was part of the test.

When she woke up, she had beco a Fusion Warrior.

As for why she wasn’t on the list?

The reason is simple; when Pado Filis woke up, she had already been sent to the morgue at headquarters!

For unknown reasons, it seed Pado Filis’s physiological characteristics were deed as deceased during the surgery, thus labeling the procedure as a failure. As soone willing to sacrifice herself for the Fire Moth, her "remains" were to be sent for burial at the headquarters cetery.

Pado Filis woke up en route to the morgue at headquarters.

Of course, she realized she now had an extra pair of ears and a tail. Pado Filis didn’t overthink it, but because of the strict security at Fire Moth headquarters, she had to hide inside and found a small warehouse as her hideout, continuously looting supplies.

However, Pado Filis was unaware that the "warehouse" she had found was actually a large transport storage of the Tribunal, mainly responsible for transporting so supplies.

When the Tribunal left, this storage was naturally reclaid by the warship.

Logically, the noise and impact from the transport storage being lifted and retrieved should have woken her up. But because earlier Pado Filis indulged in sothing she shouldn’t have, her consciousness had completely fallen into a coma. By the ti she woke up, the Tribunal was already back at their base in the Outer Star System.

"..............."

After hearing Pado Filis’s entire experience, everyone was speechless.

This experience was indeed a bit too...unbelievable.

"What should we do, Mr. Duanmu?"

Mary looked helplessly at Duanmu Huai, wondering if they should dispatch a warship to return Pado Filis.

However, Duanmu Huai rely raised an eyebrow.

"Let her be. After all, she is a Fusion Warrior, she might be useful...Alicia, she’s yours now. Teach her properly on how to use her abilities."

Duanmu Huai waved his hand, seemingly unconcerned, and although Alicia was a bit surprised, she nodded and left with the bewildered Pado Filis.

The reason Duanmu Huai decided to keep Pado Filis wasn’t because she was exceptionally strong. Earlier, Duanmu Huai had appraised Pado Filis and discovered that perhaps the surgery perford on her wasn’t done by Dr. bius, and it might not have used any advanced Fusion Beast, so Pado Filis’s strength isn’t actually formidable. She couldn’t even compare with Alicia or Eden, nor even Xixi.

However, Duanmu Huai keenly noticed sothing.

If Pado Filis’s words are true, then... her luck is unbelievably good!

Indeed, her luck!

Pado Filis’s experiences are bewildering, but upon careful consideration, at every step, any mistake would have led to certain death for her!

Ordinarily, a person who inexplicably undergoes surgery to beco a Fusion Warrior is almost certainly dood. After all, the doctor who perford the surgery on her hadn’t succeeded before, and the surgery used a low-grade Benghuai Beast. It’s akin to having a village clinic doctor perform a liver transplant—truly a dead end. Yet Pado Filis succeeded?

And if Pado Filis hadn’t awakened in the morgue, she would have been buried alive the next day.

And if she hadn’t stepped out just now, the trash in that warehouse would have been discarded into a star for incineration!

One or two instances could be chalked up to luck, but this many... what kind of luck is this?

So Duanmu Huai appraised Pado Filis and indeed found a special trait in her personal attributes that grants luck bonuses.

This is why Duanmu Huai intended to keep Pado Filis!

After all, Duanmu Huai knew well that often, battles between two sides weren’t just about strength, but luck. The more lucky people on his side, the smoother things would go. Currently, Duanmu Huai almost never let go of Tutu for twenty-four hours a day because... a lucky rabbit’s foot is really useful.

Although the luck is random, at least it randomly grants good things!

If Duanmu Huai hadn’t co to this planet, he wouldn’t have encountered such a reality bender as a Fusion Warrior.

Therefore, Duanmu Huai wouldn’t miss anyone with a luck bonus, as they might lend him a hand unexpectedly.

Unfortunately... this didn’t help his Catastrophe progress at all.

Duanmu Huai silently sighed.

And at this mont, Lumiaire’s voice sounded.

"Sir Judge, we’ve received a communication. The other party claims to be the Immortal Boat Alliance and wishes to commission the Tribunal to eliminate their enemies—the Fertile People."

"Oh?"

Upon hearing this, Duanmu Huai imdiately perked up.

Now that sounds promising!

"What did they say?"

"They said the details would be discussed face-to-face and hope the Tribunal Fleet can go to the designated location of the Immortal Boat Alliance for negotiation."

"Alright, prepare to set out. Hopefully, this one is reliable."

Duanmu Huai waved his hand and gave the order.

Soon, the warship changed direction, heading towards the predetermined coordinates. As always, Duanmu Huai’s warship dived deep into the Net Path, hurtling through the voids between universes towards the destination...

"Boom!!"

A loud explosion startled everyone, and Duanmu Huai frowned and stood up.

"What happened?"

"We were hit."

Lumiaire’s fingers flew quickly over the keyboard as she stared intently at the screen.

"Sothing collided with our ship at high speed. We’ve locked onto the target, and it’s..."

Upon seeing the screen, Lumiaire was also dumbfounded.

"A... train??"

"?????"

Not just Lumiaire, but Ann, Mary, and others were all bewildered staring at the screen—there, they could see a breach beneath the Tribunal Warship. If this were a warship sailing the ocean, the captain would likely have ordered damage control or to abandon ship. But fortunately, this was a space warship, with hardly any living crew aboard. Moreover, the size of this warship was quite massive, and for it, this little breach was no different than a tiny scratch on a person.

But what collided with it was quite odd.

It was a train.

Carriages linked together, with wheels beneath...

Yes, it was indeed a train.

Was it derailed?

Did space have tracks?

"Let’s go."

Duanmu Huai stood up.

"Let’s go see what’s going on."
