Chapter 2206: Chapter 1492: Outside the Script (Cats Need to Hibernate for Winter)

“Boom…!”

Accompanied by a violent jolt, the elevator slowly ca to a stop. The woman standing inside the elevator paused her actions and looked ahead.

“Seems like I ca at the wrong ti.”

Just as the woman finished speaking, a window popped up before her, followed by a sowhat bored voice coming from within.

“No, I think you arrived precisely on ti. System ti 23:47:15, you are punctual, Kafka.”

Upon hearing this, the woman raised an eyebrow slightly.

“Elio’s vision of the future never errs, what was that explosion just now, was it part of his ‘script’?”

“Of course, system ti 23:44:59, the pulse caused by the explosion led to a widespread paralysis in the main control system.”

“Did you do it?”

“The Anti-Matter Army did. They launched a full-scale invasion of the space station two systems ago.”

“Do we need to engage the Army?”

“I don’t know, Elio didn’t ntion it, so it’s not important.”

“Understood, then from now on, I’ll take over the operation.”

With that, the woman smiled slightly and stepped out of the elevator. She raised her twin guns, aiming ahead. There, dozens of Anti-Matter Army soldiers were wandering around, searching for prey. As the woman stepped out of the elevator, they realized her presence and turned to face her, raising their weapons simultaneously.

Yet the woman looked at them with calm composure, her finger resting on the trigger.

“Since you didn’t appear in Elio’s script, it ans…”

“Boom!!!”

Before the woman could finish her sentence, suddenly a Jumping Torpedo breached the space station’s exterior wall, crashing forcefully inside. The Anti-Matter Army soldiers had no reaction, smashed into pieces by the torpedo’s impact. Following this, the thick front door of the torpedo opened, and out strode Duanmu Huai brandishing the Thunder Warhamr.

“Is this the Anti-Matter Army?”

Looking at the enemies before him, Duanmu Huai snorted coldly. These guys may appear humanoid, but upon closer inspection, one would realize that the Anti-Matter Army mbers were rely shells, hollow within, resembling Knight’s Armor possessed by ghosts.

Hmm… It’s quite similar to my Night Guards.

This Destructive Star God, is he trying to imitate ?

Then I’d have to show him what the true God of Destruction is!

With this thought, Duanmu Huai’s expression hardened.

“Take action!”

With his command, dozens of Night Guards surged out from the Jumping Torpedo. They raised their Chainsaw Guns, unleashing a barrage upon the Anti-Matter Army’s soldiers. In no ti, thunderous booming sounds echoed throughout the corridor. Monts later, when the Night Guards lowered their smoking guns, the Anti-Matter Army soldiers opposite them had vanished into ash, leaving not a trace.

“Is that it?”

Witnessing this scene, Duanmu Huai sneered.

“At this level, they dare call themselves the Destruction Army? Laughable clowns!”

While speaking, Duanmu Huai waved his hand.

“Eliminate every single Anti-Matter Army mber in this space station! Leave none alive!”

“………”

With Duanmu Huai’s command, the Night Guards quickly dispersed, disappearing at the corridor’s end. Duanmu Huai rely turned his head, glanced at the elevator behind him, then refocused his gaze and, carrying the Thunder Warhamr, swaggered forward.

“Click.”

Only after Duanmu Huai’s massive figure vanished behind the automatic door did the woman hidden behind the wall breathe a sigh of relief. By now, she had lost her previous composure, her pretty face pale, cold sweat pouring.

“That’s the Great Judge… Never thought witnessing his presence firsthand would be so overwhelming…”

The woman closed her eyes, calming herself. In truth, before Duanmu Huai’s arrival, she’d already sensed an eerie and terrifying pressure. That’s why she hurriedly retreated, though she was certain she hadn’t escaped the Great Judge’s notice, only he didn’t bother with her as she wasn’t his target.

Perhaps he just mistook her for a regular researcher…

As a mber of the Star Core Hunters, she considered herself as having braved nurous storms, already mastering the ability to remain unphased by imminent disaster. But now she understood; she hadn’t changed because she had yet to witness true calamity—the re awareness of the man’s presence, hearing his voice, had her body spontaneously trembling, nearly collapsing.

Is this the power of the Star Gods…?

After calming her emotions, the woman erged.

“Silver Wolf, are you there?”

“I’m over here.”

Accompanied by a feeble voice, out jumped a single ponytailed, cyberpunk-dressed girl from the other side.

“Lucky , if I’d been one step later, this big chunk of tal would’ve smashed to pieces.”

While speaking, the ponytailed girl discontentedly extended her hand, knocking on the Tribunal’s Jumping Torpedo.

Who’d have thought of using this thing for an assault!

“Is this in Elio’s script?”

“……………”

Faced with the woman’s inquiry, the ponytail girl also fell silent.

“Let’s go back and ask Elio. I just feel like sothing is a bit different… What should we do next?”

“The other party is here to deal with the Anti-Matter Army, and it has nothing to do with us.”

The woman thought for a mont and decisively made a decision.

“We should just continue with our own actions.”

anwhile, Duanmu Huai also arrived at the main control cabin and t up with the Space Station mbers who were taking refuge there.

“Thank you very much for the Tribunal’s help.”

Standing in front of Duanmu Huai, thanking him was the acting director of the Black Tower Space Station, Aisida. She didn’t look very old, still with the appearance of a youthful girl, with shoulder-length sakura-colored hair and quite an elegant outfit, giving the impression that she was more like a young lady from a noble family rather than a scientist or researcher.

“If it weren’t for the Tribunal’s arrival, the situation would have been much worse… Ah, truly, in the face of disaster, we realize that the agents are the most valuable asset of the Space Station… ah, our preparedness for ergencies was seriously lacking, neglecting the construction of security and combat personnel.”

“It’s okay, after all, we were just passing by.”

Duanmu Huai waved his hand.

“Do you know the purpose of the Legion’s attack on the Space Station?”

“Purpose? Frankly speaking, wherever the Anti-Matter Army goes, they only practice the path of Destruction Destiny, destroying everything… This Space Station is just a warehouse the Lady Black Tower uses to store followers and strange objects; it’s not particularly special… at least as far as I know. But I’ve heard that there’s also Lady Black Tower’s private secret chamber in the Space Station, sealed with the most precious, rare, and dangerous artifacts… Knowing Lady Black Tower’s character, this is very likely… but it’s just hearsay, after all, many things she hasn’t told as the director.”

“Forget it, it’s all irrelevant. In any case, let’s deal with this bunch of trash first.”

Although the na Black Tower seed sowhat familiar, as if he’d heard it sowhere before, Duanmu Huai quickly cast it aside.

“Doo—doo—doo—!”

But at this mont, suddenly the alarm sounded. Then screams ca from the researchers at the Space Station.

“Direc-Director, we’ve discovered a large number of Doomsday Beast traces, as many as a thousand!”

“What!?”

Hearing the report, Aisida’s face changed dramatically. She turned to look at the screen, on which large monsters with wings, looking like dragons, were gathering, swarming towards the Space Station.

“Doomsday Beasts? What are those?”

Looking at the monster army in front, Duanmu Huai asked curiously, while Aisida explained with a pale face to Duanmu Huai.

“The Doomsday Beasts are the Legion’s astrological weapons, I never expected so many to co… The shield of this Space Station can’t withstand the Doomsday Beasts!”

“Astrological weapons, just these?”

Duanmu Huai sneered at the monsters, ferociously flaunting their fangs and claws.

“These things worthy? Let show you what a real astrological weapon is.”

Saying this, Duanmu Huai snapped his fingers.

“Ti for a stroll, Dadda.”

“Eh?”

Hearing Duanmu Huai’s words, everyone was taken aback. Yet at this mont, suddenly a deep rumble, like an ancient behemoth, appeared in everyone’s mind.

“Woooooooo–––––!”

It was like a deep ocean whale groan, and imdiately after, an unimaginable scene appeared without any warning right before their eyes.

There it had been pitch dark.

Dim, dark, void of anything, the dark void. However, the next mont, the void itself began to shake, just as if soone bowed their head to peer into an unfathomable ocean, watching its shadow grow larger and larger…

Then, the Ethereal Dragon appeared.

Its size was unimaginably huge, even this Space Station could only look up to it. Everyone stood dumbfounded watching it, as if seeing a giant sperm whale through the porthole from inside a deep-sea submarine. It fluttered its wings and opened its massive mouth, sweeping past the side of the Space Station, rushing towards the Doomsday Beast army!

“————————!!!”

In the presence of the gigantic Ethereal Dragon, even an army of Doomsday Beasts covering the sky seed as small as a school of sardines driven by a whale shark. They also evidently sensed the terrifying nature of the enemy before them. The Doomsday Beasts quickly halted, opened their mouths, and spat beams of light, bombarding the Ethereal Dragon!

Their attacks might have been a catastrophe for ordinary warships, but in front of the Ethereal Dragon, they were not even worth tickling it. The Ethereal Dragon didn’t even change its direction, just kept its mouth open and continued to swim forward, and then… it devoured the Doomsday Beasts in one bite.

Just like a whale shark engulfing sardines, the latter had no power to resist, only able to scream and flee, but unfortunately, the Ethereal Dragon was so enormous that its re presence caused a severe gravitational reaction, making escape impossible for the Doomsday Beasts. All they could do was watch helplessly as they were swallowed by the Ethereal Dragon, becoming nutrients inside its body.

“Mr. Duanmu, has that child grown bigger again?”

Mary curiously leaned over and asked, while Duanmu Huai shrugged.

“It’s a growth phase, that’s how it is, eating more is quite normal.”

“Is… that so?”
