Capítulo 2315: Chapter 1559: The Story of a Borderland Youth (Part 2)_2

“I believe you can do it, Litt.”

Watching Litt, Lillian reached out her hand and grasped Litt’s clenched fist.

“You’re hardworking and brave. I believe you can pass the test and join the Hero Army!”

“… I’ll consider it…”

Faced with Lillian’s forthright gaze, Litt seed a bit uneasy. He was silent for a mont before finally speaking in a low voice. Hearing Litt’s response, Lillian also breathed a sigh of relief.

“I’ll head back now, goodbye, Litt.”

After saying this, Lillian waved to Litt and then turned around to leave. Litt watched her swaying twin ponytails disappear down the road before he turned his gaze back and walked toward his ho.

“I’m back.”

Litt pushed open the door and spoke. Normally at this ti, Mina would have prepared dinner and be waiting with his sister for him to eat. But now, the place was cold and deserted, with not a single shadow in sight.

Oh right, Aileen also went to help at the inn…

With the arrival of the Brave Lord, there were more people here. Mina couldn’t leave because she had to serve the Brave Lord, so Aileen volunteered to go help at the inn.

Litt took out the dry bread left in the kitchen and silently ate it, not knowing how much ti passed until he ca back to his senses and found nightfall had arrived outside. The room was pitch black. Litt stood up, lit the oil lamp, and looked at the ti.

Almost ti to bring Aileen back.

Although the inn wasn’t far from ho, as a brother, he naturally couldn’t let his sister walk ho alone at night.

Thinking of this, Litt put down the half-eaten dry bread, stood up, and walked out of the house.

It was already late night, and most of the inn’s guests had left. After all, the Brave Lord was staying at the inn, so others were only there for a drink, not able to stay. Litt walked down the street and arrived at the inn’s door. Only the lights of the bar on the first floor were still on; everywhere else was pitch black.

Litt raised his head to look above, and then – he widened his eyes.

He saw a blurred figure lying by the window on the second floor. Because the light was too dim, Litt couldn’t see what it was, but vaguely sensed that it was probably soone. Under Litt’s gaze, the pale figure was reaching out and pressing against the window, swaying back and forth.

“————!———!”

In the quiet night, faint sounds accompanied the night breeze blowing into Litt’s ears. The sound seed sowhat familiar, but just as Litt tried to catch it, it drifted away with the wind…

“Brother?”

A small figure erged from the inn’s door, Aileen looking curiously at Litt.

“What are you doing here?”

“Aileen, are you alright?”

Seeing his cute sister, Litt’s inexplicably tense heart relaxed.

“I’m okay! But there were too many guests – really exhausting. If Mina hadn’t helped , I might have been too tired to move and would have needed you to carry back.”

“I see… Where’s Mina?”

“Hmm? Mina should’ve gone back to her room to rest by now.”

“I see…”

Saying this, Litt raised his head again to look at the second-floor window, but now it was pitch black, not a trace of the figure from before.

Could it have been my imagination?

“Brother?”

“It’s nothing.”

Litt drew his gaze back, looking at his sister.

“Let’s go ho.”

“Alright!”

The next day, Litt went to report to the Guard Team as usual, but he hadn’t seen Lillian anywhere. Just as Litt was planning to find her during the lunch break, he saw two Guard Team soldiers walking over while chatting.

“Wow, what to say? Brave like a newborn calf not fearing the tiger, or just bold? Lillian actually dared to challenge the Brave Lord.”

“Should just say young people are impulsive. Forget the rest, just the Brave Lord standing in front of , I wouldn’t feel I had a chance.”

“Lillian wasn’t trying to defeat the Brave Lord; she just hopes to show her skills to him. But I agree, challenging the Brave Lord directly really takes guts.”

Hearing their conversation, Litt hurried his steps to join them.

“What are you talking about? Where did Lillian go?”

“Oh, Litt, it’s you.”

Seeing Litt, one guard greeted him.

“Lillian went to sign up for the Hero Army; the Brave Lord happens to be reviewing there. Wow, I didn’t expect Lillian to have so skill, hoping to spar with the Brave Lord. You can’t deny, that’s so rare courage.”

“Yeah, most n freeze just seeing the Brave Lord. Like , just looking at him, I don’t even have the courage to draw my sword! Not only is the Brave Lord intimidating, but the aura he exudes is scarier than the Demon Clan.”

“Lillian went to join the Hero Army?”

Upon hearing this, Litt froze for a mont.

“Where is she?”

“In the Martial Arts Arena, the enlistees are there.”

Upon hearing this, Litt quickly turned and ran toward the Martial Arts Arena, and seeing him sprinting away, the two guards laughed heartily.
