No matter what it is, as long as it has the words "limited edition," it’s all about buying, whether you’ll use it or not is a separate issue!
After this, the Inquisitor’s debut performance opened as scheduled.
If there’s any difference compared to the previous festival night show, it’s that Duanmu Huai decorated the entire theater in advance and even displayed interior scenes on the screen. The mont the audience stepped into the hall, they felt as if they were walking into a grandiose Imperial Church.
This majestic, magnificent, sacred, and solemn atmosphere instantly heightened the audience’s tension.
In such a setting, Duanmu Huai’s chanting of the hymn naturally had an undeniable effect.
There’s not much to say about the performance itself; with the surrounding environntal boost, the grandiosity was several tis more enthusiastic than the previous festival show. Moreover, for Duanmu Huai, his goal was also initially achieved.
While Duanmu Huai was chanting, he could feel the spiritual energy of the audience expanding with his song, then venturing into Subspace. Ann and Nolan confidently inford him that they could feel so presence in Subspace being drawn by this spiritual power.
But it’s still not enough.
Right now, this spiritual energy can only provoke a reaction like poking a cat while it sleeps, making its ears twitch.
There’s still a long way to go before this cat opens its eyes and pounces into your arms.
At least the current spiritual energy isn’t enough to fully bring to life and awaken the powerful presence as a cat food.
But having an effect ans the direction is correct.
Otherwise, Duanmu Huai wouldn’t force himself to sing with goosebumps just for nothing, right?
The performance was naturally a huge success. As before, when the audience was still deeply imrsed in the final chanting, Duanmu Huai and his four teammates had already left.
Dare to leave without even saying goodbye.
"I feel... maybe this isn’t too good?"
Perhaps influenced by playing house yesterday, Ruoya Mu, who was sitting in the car, uncharacteristically spoke uneasy.
"At least we should thank the audience..."
"Thank them for what? We let them hear this heavenly lody; they should be thanking us instead."
Obviously, Duanmu Huai wouldn’t change his strategy for this.
"Besides, aren’t you planning to hide your identities? It doesn’t matter if you thank the audience or not; they won’t recognize who you are anyway."
The stage lights primarily focused on Duanmu Huai, but as band mbers, the other four were also lit up.
However, just like the sun’s light overshadows the stars during the day, even though they had lighting, the audience rarely noticed their presence.
Not to ntion, Duanmu Huai’s hymn doesn’t need cheers and applause; just starting to sing makes the whole venue silent, devoid of any sound. It doesn’t need an MC or any guest appearances, just start singing, finish, and leave, straightforward and without any delay.
"This is really good."
Yahata Miru nodded, supporting Duanmu Huai’s idea.
"Our band is paving a unique path, maintaining it this way is most important. If we change our style because of others, then it wouldn’t be Inquisitor."
These words from soone who has worked in thirty bands have extra convincing power.
"So, it’s better to stop browsing your phone."
Duanmu Huai looked at Fukawa Shoko, who was engrossed in her phone, and sighed. Now Fukawa Shoko had developed a self-searching habit, which Duanmu Huai didn’t think was a good habit.
"But, I want to see how everyone evaluates our debut performance in case we didn’t do sothing well..."
"Are you going to change anything? I’m not changing a thing."
"...."
Hearing this, Fukawa Shoko paused, then silently turned off her phone.
Since Duanmu Huai wasn’t changing, what’s the use of her looking at anything?
After this, everyone naturally dispersed, each returning to their own hos and finding their mothers. Yahata Hailing took a ride ho, and Fukawa Shoko planned to return to her cabin. Although her father wasn’t living there now, she wanted to clean it up, waiting for her father to return, renewed and reford...
It’s supposed to be going to work, but the way she put it, it sounds like prison.
Hei Chuan Chi Yin naturally wanted to go ho with Duanmu Huai, leaving Ruoya Mu as the remaining one.
However...
"I don’t want to go ho."
Staring at Duanmu Huai, Ruoya Mu actively expressed her thoughts for the first ti.
"Oh?"
Duanmu Huai wasn’t surprised by this, actually knowing Xiangzi wanted him to help solve Ruoya Mu’s family issues, but as the saying goes, it’s difficult for an honest official to resolve family affairs.
Simply put, family matters aren’t easily solved by determining right or wrong.
Duanmu Huai recalled before his journey, a friend working as a police officer complained about similar situations. They received ergency calls at midnight saying a man was beating a woman, dostic violence. When they arrived, the man had turned the woman into a bloody ss, looking quite miserable. The veteran team leader intended to diate, but Duanmu Huai’s young friend, feeling young and energetic, believed diation wasn’t the answer when it was such a severe case of dostic violence. Justice shouldn’t bow to dostic violence!
So he arrested the man and conducted an injury check on the woman, leading to the man’s detention for intentional assault. At the ti, this friend felt proud, thinking he’d upheld justice and saved a victim.
But just a day later, the woman ca crying, asking them to release her boyfriend. Duanmu Huai’s friend was utterly confused by her thoughts. After being beaten into a mummy with bandages, she still wanted him to be freed?
But the woman claid she deserved the beating; it wasn’t his fault; it was hers. He should have hit her; therefore, they should release him—though it wasn’t a prosecutable case where accusations could be withdrawn. Hearing this resulted in the woman’s harsh scolding, blaming the friend for interfering in her family matters.
Later, she even filed a complaint, causing such distress to Duanmu Huai’s friend, finally understanding why the veteran preferred an appeased diation...
That’s why an honest official struggles with family affairs, and also why Duanmu Huai himself was not interested in ddling. The only thing he could do was enhance Ruoya Mu’s abilities.
Of course, it’s not about making her capable of punching a bear down but giving her enough economic independence.
Kids cannot rebel against parents for many reasons, but the most crucial one is their lack of ability to live independently and earn money, requiring parental support. Despite being seemingly wealthy, both Fukawa Shoko and Ruoya Mu are essentially in the sa situation.
That’s why Duanmu Huai suggested giving them the major share of earnings; even though Fukawa Shoko and Ruoya Mu were rich daughters, it didn’t an they could earn money themselves. But the money they earn themselves can be the foundation for a self-reliant life.
With that money, no matter if they fall out with parents, move elsewhere, or do anything, they’d have the confidence.
Therefore, how Ruoya Mu communicates with her parents is not Duanmu Huai’s concern; his priority is ensuring she has adequate funds.
And now, it seems Ruoya Mu indeed has developed her own idea.
"Where are you planning to go?"
"SPACE."
It appears Ruoya Mu has found her second ho.
