Duanmu Huai shook his head, after which he left the Combat Command Room and arrived at the Void Barracks. There, he found a blonde girl engrossed in so drafts.
“Ah, Sir Knight!”
Upon seeing Duanmu Huai’s arrival, Kulala raised her head from between the drafts and curtsied towards him.
“No need to be formal, I’ve co to you because of that… has it been handled?”
“It has been handled, theoretically there will be no problem, though we haven’t conducted more precise tests…”

“That level of accuracy is not necessary, are you sure it will achieve the effect I want?”

“Good.”
After this, Duanmu Huai once again used the teleportation portal to return to the Borderland. Following the map, he arrived at a graveyard located near the Royal City. Then, Duanmu Huai opened the door… and entered.
“Squish.”
A darting rat was crushed into a pulp under Duanmu Huai’s foot. Lifting his head, he saw that what was once a fairly flat graveyard had now beco vast hollow, filled with decay and ruined wreckage. The surrounding torches were burning with a ghostly green glow.
A gigantic Divine Statue stood in the middle, with several curved long horns growing out of its ugly and fierce face. However, Duanmu Huai only glanced at it before averting his gaze.
“Well, let’s get to work.”
While saying this, Duanmu Huai humd a song and unloaded a giant iron box, almost as tall as himself, from his back. Stretching out his hand, he placed the iron box on the ground, disengaged the Restrainer, set up the stand, and started adjusting the equipnt in front of him while still singing his song.
“The sun shines overhead, the flowers are smiling at , the little bird says, good morning, why are you carrying an explosives bag…”
In the silent and hollow underground hall, only the monotonous clash of tal echoed. One by one, black shadows erged silently from all around, their eyes glinting with a crimson glow, fixated on the man fiddling with sothing in front of the grim statue.
“Hiss…”
Duanmu Huai seed not to care about this at all. He kept humming his song while securing the device in front of him to the ground.
“Hiss…intruder! Bad! Intruder! Bad! Kill the bad intruder!”
A series of whispering sounds followed, then a poisonous arrow flew out quietly, aiming directly at Duanmu Huai’s head. But it ricocheted off his helt. Seeing this, those original figures hidden in the shadows quickly retreated. However, Duanmu Huai rely reached out and touched his helt, without even looking up.
“Audacious! Audacious! Audacious!”
Seeing the intruder treating him with such disregard, the shadowy figure in the darkness beca more enraged. While bouncing around, it emitted a piercing roar. In the next instant, along with the roar, hundreds, if not thousands, of Ratn suddenly surged out of the shadows from all directions, rushing towards Duanmu Huai!
At this mont, Duanmu Huai finished humming his song.
“…With one pull of the cord, I make my escape and everything explodes…!”
As the words fell, Duanmu Huai forcefully pressed the button on the steel box in front of him. anwhile, the portal opened behind him once again, and he took a step backward, disappearing into the portal.
Imdiately after, a dazzling white light filled the entire space.

No one knew what just happened.
The fortunate ones who witnessed it all saw only one thing —— the notorious city, belonging to the Ratn, the cursed Skaven Demon City on the continent, violently exploded at this instant. The ground surged upward under the imnse shockwave force, everything on the land of Skaven Demon City was obliterated and thrown into the sky, then fell downward —— into the pitch-black underground cave that was almost invisible.
The deafening roar swept across half of the world, the thunderous explosion could even be heard from the distant Imperial Capital Aldorf. The surrounding earth trembled incessantly, and the violently vibrating houses collapsed. Just in an instant, the huge Demon City, the city of Ratn that according to legend was cursed, completely vanished from the surface of the earth. What was left was nothing but a colossal, dark pit.
“Hateful ghost! Hateful ghost!!”
A Ratman scread as it erged from the rubble, its body covered in wounds, and it seed to be on the verge of death. Nonetheless, it kept on trying to climb out. The chamber that used to be sacred to the Ratn was completely destroyed, only the giant Ratman statue remained standing unscathed. It seed like the violent explosion that destroyed the entire city ant nothing to it.
“Save ! Save !”
The Ratman crawled desperately towards the statue. It raised its hands towards the statue in the distance, pleading desperately. Perhaps it was too engrossed, it didn’t notice the terrifying shrieks and roars that ca from the underground at this mont.
The temperature of the ground began to rise slowly, the Ratman’s fur that was close to the ground was singed. It scread pitifully, trying to roll around. Regardless of wherever the Ratman rolled to, it felt as though the ground beneath it was as hot as a red-hot iron pot, scorching its body.
“So hot! So hot! So hot! I’m being roasted! I’m being roasted!!”
The Ratman, seared by the high temperature, was almost delirious. It rolled around aimlessly while wailing, then all of a sudden, it could feel its back lightened, that harsh scorching feeling instantly disappeared. At the sa ti, gravity seized the Ratman’s body, it fell screaming and flailing into the dark underground —— and was completely devoured by the massive lava that suddenly erged.
“Boom—————!!!”
Like a volcanic eruption, the hot lava spurted from the underground. They spread in all directions, flowing along every tunnel. In just the blink of an eye, the colossal Ratman city beneath the Skaven Demon City was engulfed in a sea of fire.
The Ratn scread and tried to escape, but they had nowhere to go. The lava was slowly yet steadily flowing through the tunnel, nothing could halt this terrifying presence. Many Ratn even fell to the ground and collapsed while running, then completely consud by the sudden burst of flas.
There was nowhere for these Ratn to escape to in the underground world.
They shrieked, howled, and let out desperate cries for help and prayers. And these sounds —— were indeed heard by their Deity.
“Roar—————!!”
The gigantic statue shattered amidst the roar, and a huge Ratman erged from it, taking large strides. It stared at the spreading lava that was subrging the Ratn’s Underground City with red eyes, emitting an angry roar. However, just as it raised its hand intending to do sothing, a black fla descended from the sky!
“Die, Giant Horned Rat!!”
Duanmu Huai held the War Hamr, his entire body wrapped in black flas. He descended from the sky like a teor, heading straight towards the Giant Horned Rat!
