Chapter 293: Chapter 233: The Front Line_1
After briefly dealing with the troubles in the World Fragnt, Duanmu Huai returned once again to the empire. He first visited Aldorf, and was inford that due to the southern invasion of the Chaos Army, the Emperor had already led the Union Army to Midheim. Thus, Duanmu Huai once again ended up in Midheim — this dilapidated and icy city.
Upon receiving the report, the Emperor imdiately had Duanmu Huai ushered into the castle.

Upon seeing Duanmu Huai entering the hall, the Emperor, who was sitting on the throne, imdiately stood up, walked to him, warmly laughing, he hugged him and then slapped him on the back.

With a smile, Carl nodded, then looked towards Duanmu Huai once again.

“The Ratn are no longer a threat, at least for a considerable ti, they won’t be capable of any mischief.”
Duanmu Huai didn’t tell Carl directly that he had killed the Giant Horned Rat himself because he knew that this was a tough concept for the people of this world to understand. Perhaps, to the once omnipotent Tribunal of the Milky Way, the Giant Horned Rat was nothing more than a slightly more powerful subspace creature from a common planet. But for the people living on this planet, even though the Giant Horned Rat was not strong, it was certainly a God. If Duanmu Huai told Carl that he had killed a Deity…..Hmm, whether he believes it or not is another issue altogether.
“As I expected!”
Upon hearing Duanmu Huai’s answer, Carl burst into laughter.
“I knew it, I knew you wouldn’t let down, and I guessed that you definitely did sothing to scare off those Ratn!”
“Oh?”
Hearing Carl’s words, Duanmu Huai was sowhat curious. No one knew about him killing the Giant Horned Rat at that ti, could it be that Carl dreamt about it?

“Not long ago, I received a ssage from the Supre King. He stated that he had received a revelation from the Deity that the threat of the Dwarfs in the underground has been eradicated. As a return, they would join the United Army and confront the Chaos Forces together. I knew it, I knew you must have done sothing!”
“Oh…..I see.”
Upon hearing this, Duanmu Huai imdiately understood. The Dwarfs and the Ratn were mortal enemies. With the Giant Horned Rat dead, the happiest would naturally be the Dwarf God. As this ant the complete collapse and end of the Ratman Clan, and as a return, the Dwarf God of course would not sit by and watch the current situation of the Union Army. Consequently, the Supre King led the reinforcents, and ca to assist the United Army.
The reason for the split among the Dwarfs was largely due to the threat of the Ratn. Now, with the Ratn no longer a threat, the Dwarfs naturally had no reason to oppose. Furthermore, the Supre King had the oracle, hence, the Dwarfs then assembled a large army, making their way to Midheim to join with the United Army.
For this Carl was undoubtedly overjoyed. Currently, with the overwhelming might of Chaos, their own United Army had already started to falter. The arrival of the Dwarfs not only provided them with reinforcent but the Dwarfs were also skilled in weapon crafting, which could significantly help the Union Army.
“So, what is the current frontline situation?”
After so brief small talk, Duanmu Huai imdiately proceeded to the main subject. He had no interest in idle banter about today’s weather — a look outside at the heavy snowfall in Midheim is enough to know how the weather was.

The current Chaos Army had mustered all of its elite forces blocking the path in front of Midheim. If not for Midheim’s location being suitable for a defensive fight and the holy fire of Ulrick preventing all Chaos Demons from approaching, perhaps Midheim would have already fallen.
Among the Chaos Army, the Plague God’s Army was the main force, with other Chaos Armies also assembled.
Here’s sothing to note, the northerners’ chaos beliefs are not clearly defined at all. Any bloke born in a northern tribe could potentially draw attention from the four Chaos Evil Gods. Of course, as to whom he would finally submit would depend on his own choice and which Evil God finds him more pleasing.
The vanguard of the Plague Army was led by the Plague God’s Lord of Chaos — the Grot Brothers. One of them was a massive Plague Beast; the other two were the Champion Warrior of the Plague God and a Plague Mage who spread dreadful diseases. Apart from them, there was also the Knightly Order of Boils from the icy peaks, who led the horrifying Plague Army of the Plague God, contaminating everything in their path.
In addition to this, there were also armies of the Brutal God’s Lord of Chaos — “Bloody Valkyrie” Valkia and a Vampire Knight Regint Blood Dragon, who had pledged loyalty to the Brutal God.
